Appu's life is filled with joy. He is happy splashing in the water and listening to stories. Everything around him is flawless. He learns the Yogic elephant ways from Guruji, and some special life lessons from his mother. He knows that he is 'destined' for bigger things...But the super powers he has remain a mystery to him.
It's a happy day in Upvan jungle. Suddenly disaster strikes. The whole forest rumbles in fear. Trees start falling dead, and animals get trapped, there is complete chaos. Plot :
Appu (Prashanth) is a taxi driver in Mumbai (Bombay). He is still haunted by the suicide of his sister who was sold to a brothel. He is still trying to find out the culprit. In this movie, Appu is brought up by his single mother. He wants to know about his father, but his mother does not want to reveal anything about him. Appu's grandfather, however, tells him that his father now works in Cambodia as a manager in a big hotel.
Now Appu wants to meet his father and an opportunity strikes when his mother has to go to Cambodia on work. Appu accompanies his mother but on the way, his bag gets exchanged. And a group of goons are on Appu's trail to get a pen drive that has some vital yet dangerous information.
One of the criminals engages an orangutan to steal the pen drive. But Appu becomes friendly with the orangutan and even saves it from impending danger.
How Appu reunites his parents in the process with the help of the orangutan and also saves the country from the ulterior designs of villains forms the rest of the story.

Puneeth Rajkumar (Kannada: ಪುನೀತ್ ರಾಜ್ಕುಮಾರ್; born 17 March 1975), is an Indian film actor, playback singer and television presenter who mostly works in Kannada cinema. He has appeared 23 films as a lead actor, prior to which he had a career as a child artiste appearing in films to which his father Rajkumar appeared in lead roles. As a child artist, his performances in Vasantha Geetha (1980), Bhagyavantha (1981), Chalisuva Modagalu (1982), Eradu Nakshatragalu (1983) and Bettada Hoovu (1985) received appreciation. He won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for his role of Ramu in Bettada Hoovu. His first film in a lead role came in the 2002 in Appu. He went on to appear in other commercial successful films over the years, such as Abhi (2003), Aakash (2005), Arasu (2007), Milana (2007), Jackie (2010), Hudugaru (2011), Paramathma (2011), "Power" (2014), "Mythri" (2015) and "Rana Vikrama" (2015), establishing him as one of the leading contemporary actors in Kannada cinema.

Singanalluru Puttaswamayya Muthuraju (24 April 1929 – 12 April 2006), known mononymously by his screen name Rajkumar, was an Indian actor and singer in the Kannada Cinema. Widely acclaimed as one of the finest actor in the history of Indian Cinema, he is considered a cultural icon, and holds a Matinée idol status in the Kannada diaspora, among whom he is popularly adulated as Devata Maushya (Godman), Karnataka Rathna (Jewel of Karnataka State), Varanata (Gifted actor), Rajanna (Brother Raj), Natasarvabhouma (emperor of acting),Gaana Gandharva (singer in the court of Gods), Annavru (beloved elder brother), Rasikararaja (King of crazy people) and much more.
A method actor, Rajkumar entered the film industry after his long stint as a dramatist with Gubbi Veeranna's Gubbi Drama Company, which he joined at the age of eight, and got his first break as a lead in the 1954 film Bedara Kannappa, and went on to work in over 220 films, the 2000 super hit Shabdavedhi being the last one. Well known for his highly disciplined and simple lifestyle in both personal and professional fronts, Rajkumar was also an avid Yoga, Pranayama and Carnatic music performer. He is also credited for being the only Indian super star who stayed away from acting the vicious acts of drinking, smoking and uttering swear words in all the roles he performed in his long spanning career of close to 50 years. At the age of 71, he was kidnapped from his farm house at Gajanur (the place where he was brought up) by forest brigand Veerappan. He was released after 108 days. He died of cardiac arrest at his residence in Bangalore on 12 April 2006.

Prakash Raj
Prakash Raj (born Prakash Rai on 26 March 1965) is a polyglot Indian film actor, film director, producer, thespian and television presenter who is known for his works in the South Indian film industry, and few bollywood films. He acted in back-to-back stage shows for ₹300 a month in the initial stages of his career when he joined Kalakshetra, Bengaluru, and he has 2,000 street theatre performances to his credit.
After working in the Kannada television industry and Kannada cinema for a few years, he made his debut in Tamil cinema through Duet (1994) by K. Balachander and has since been a commercially successful film star in Tamil. In remembrance, he named his production company Duet Movies. Prakash has also worked in a number of Bollywood films.
Apart from his mother tongue Kannada, Prakash's fluency in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Hindi and English has placed him among the most sought after actors in Indian cinema. He has played a variety of roles, most notably as the antagonist and, of late, as a character actor. Prakash, as an actor has won a National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1998 for Mani Ratnam's Iruvar and a National Film Award for Best Actor in 2009 for his role in Kanchivaram, a Tamil film directed by Priyadarshan, and as a producer has won a National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Kannada for Puttakkana Highway directed by his long-time theatre friend B. Suresh in 2011. Prakash was also the host of Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi during the show's second season.

Now Appu wants to meet his father and an opportunity strikes when his mother has to go to Cambodia on work. Appu accompanies his mother but on the way, his bag gets exchanged. And a group of goons are on Appu's trail to get a pen drive that has some vital yet dangerous information.
One of the criminals engages an orangutan to steal the pen drive. But Appu becomes friendly with the orangutan and even saves it from impending danger.
How Appu reunites his parents in the process with the help of the orangutan and also saves the country from the ulterior designs of villains forms the rest of the story.
