Community
Sea Swift takes great pride in being a positive member of the communities we service. We are a strong corporate citizen and provide support to the communities we service in excess of $1M annually in total through both direct cash contribution and in-kind support.
We support causes that offer shared value and make a difference to the triple bottom line of both the community they're in and Sea Swift.
Sea Swift supports Arts & Cultural Events, Environmental Conservation, Community Wellbeing, Local Enterprise and Community Events. Some examples of each of these are:
- Arts & Cultural Events - Winds of Zenadth, Garma
- Environmental Conservation - Erub Art Council (Ghost Net recycling), Tangaroa Blue Foundation (removal of plastic debris from oceans & beaches)
- Community Wellbeing - Cairns Taipans, Northern Pride, Breast Screen
- Local Enterprise - Gumatj timber/truss/block/meat enterprise, live seafood from the Torres Strait
- Community Events - NPA Show, Maningrida Bust Up Fishing Competition, Weipa Fishing Classic, Tiwi AFL Grand Final
Sea Swift reviews applications on a monthly basis with the Sponsorship/Assistance Committee going over each application and aligning with our values and budget to support the applications that best deliver value for the communities they occur in and the values of Sea Swift.
