SBS statement regarding Once Upon a Time in Punchbowl
SBS has decided to remove the Once Upon a Time in Punchbowl series from its schedule until full investigations are carried out to its satisfaction.

SBS’s digital coverage of the 2013 Tour de France was recognised at the
Australian Sports Commission (ASC) Media Awards in Melbourne last night,
taking home the award for Best Coverage of Sport through Digital Media.

The second instalment of SBS’s ground-breaking factual television series, Go Back to Where You Came From, has won the International Emmy Award in the Non-scripted Entertainment category, at a ceremony in New York Monday night.

SBS launches Punchbowl exhibition
SBS presents The Heart of Punchbowl, a major exhibition that looks into
the intimate and rarely seen lives of Lebanese Australians living in
Punchbowl in Sydney’s south-west. Commissioned as part of SBS’s Once
Upon a Time in Punchbowl series, the exhibition features large scale
portraits and extracts of personal conservations between nine pairs of
people, exploring everything from love, death, food and family.

will celebrate its 22nd birthday at its new home on SBS 2 next month on
Sunday December 8 broadcast live from Centennial Park, and the good

SBS-BA Cycling Team the largest in the annual MS Sydney to the Gong Bike Ride
On Sunday 3 November 10,000 cyclists took part in the annual MS Gong
Ride, cycling 90 kilometres from Sydney to Wollongong and raising money
for the more than 20,000 Australians living with Multiple Sclerosis.
SBS and Broadcast Australia again partnered to enter the race, and the
SBS-BA Cycling Team, with 215 riders, was the largest team in the event
for the second year in a row.

SBS has walked away with both GOLD and SILVER at this year’s PromaxBDA
ANZ 2013 Awards, held on Friday 18 October. Its subscription TV channel
STUDIO also picked up two GOLDS and a SILVER.
