Thank You! I am so so happy that at-last someone realized the effort that went into editing and the true advantage of the video. People write and ask how can someone learn Java in 4 hrs? This is not a 4 hr class, but a full 5 day(40 hrs) class. Edited so tight(No err, uhh, sometimes I edited out even the time between the words) that what resulted is a 4hr video. Even I was shocked at so few hours!

Java is definitely one of the most popular languages of all time. Practically, everyone knows Java, even people that are not programmers or developers.
According to Statistic Times, when it comes to programming languages popularity, "Java is the most widely popular programming language in both Index (PYPL and TIOBE). Java has a 23.6 percent and 18.24 percent developer share in PYPL and TIOBE Index, respectively. Java is taking lead by 10.3 percent and 7.28 percent in PYPL and TIOBE Index, respectively in the global ranking. In India, Java is ahead by 6.5%. But in the US, Java is ahead by only 2.4%. The share of Java has decreased compare to the year before in both indexes. In India, the share of Java is declined by more than 10%."

A História da Linguagem Java se inicia em 1990, quando a Sun Microsystems criou uma equipe chamada Green Team, liderada por James Gosling.
Até o momento, as Linguagens de Programação como Pascal e C, precisavam de compiladores específicos para cada plataforma. Sem isso, os programas só seriam executáveis para um único sistema.
Foi aí que o grupo criou o projeto GreenTalk, que virou a Linguagem Oak, capaz de ligar dispositivos diferentes e fazer com que eles pudessem se comunicar.
O Star Seven (*7) surgiu em 1991 e era um aparelho multimídia capaz de controlar vários dispositivos da sua casa. Infelizmente o projeto não foi aceito na época e tudo foi engavetado em 1992.
Em 1994, com o advento da World Wide Web (www) e da Linguagem HTML, o projeto da Sun foi reestabelecido com o objetivo de criar um Navegador Web capaz de rodar aplicativos em Oak.
O nome "Oak" não poderia ser utilizado por questões de direitos relacionados. A linguagem foi rebatizada em homenagem a uma gíria relativa a "Café Quente": Java Coffee.
Surgem então o navegador HotJava e a linguagem Java, que ficou famosa por conta de matérias veiculadas pela imprensa da época.
A partir daí, vários projetos surgiram para usar Java em todo lugar. O Java Ring e Sondas Espaciais da NASA são exemplos disso.
Em 2006 a Linguagem Java se tornou Open Source, que tem seu código livre para consultas, pesquisas e personalizações. Java usa a licença GPL (General Public Licence)
Em 2009 a Sun Microsystems foi vendida para a Oracle por US$7,4 bilhões.
Atualmente, a Linguagem Java pode ser encontrada em chips de cartão de crédito, discos de blu-ray, vídeo games (PS4 roda Java), leitores de e-books (Kindle roda Java), smartphones (Android roda Java), TV digital (o padrão Ginga é feito em Java), relógios inteligentes (Moto 360 roda Java) e até mesmo no programa para a Declaração de Imposto de Renda.

Como funciona o Java? Você sabe o que é JVM, JRE, JDK, JavaC, bytecode? É exatamente isso que você vai aprender durante essa aula.
O JavaC (Java Compiler) vai transformar o Código Fonte Java em Bytecode, um código específico que vai executar em uma Máquina Virtual Java (Java Virtual Machine - JVM).
Uma JVM é uma solução de software capaz de executar bytecode em qualquer máquina, independente da plataforma que o Código Fonte foi compilado. Java é multiplataforma sem a necessidade de recompilação.
A JVM é composta por várias partes internas, como por exemplo Loader, Verificador, Interpretador, Gerenciador de Memória e Compilador JIT (Just in Time).
Atualmente existem JVMs em várias plataformas, como Computadores Pessoais (Windows, Linux, MacOS), dispositivos móveis (Android) e até mesmo os modernos wearables (relógios inteligentes, óculos inteligentes).
O princípio de funcionamento desse mecanismo explicado acima é conhecido pela sigla WORA (Write Once Run Anywhere) que significa “Escreva uma vez, execute em qualquer lugar”.
JRE (Java Runtime Environment) é um conjunto de software que forma um ambiente para a execução de bytecodes feitos em Java. Ela é composta da JVM e bibliotecas adicionais.
JDK (Java Development Kit) é um conjunto de programas que todo programador Java deve ter. Ele é um kit de desenvolvimento Java composto pela JRE (item acima), o JavaLang, o JavaTools (JavaC, Debugger, APIs). Além disso, você ainda pode adicionar uma IDE para facilitar o desenvolvimento Java.
As IDEs mais conhecidas são o Eclipse, o IntelliJ e o NetBeans. O Curso em Vídeo de Java vai adotar o NetBeans para o aprendizado da Linguagem Java.
Na próxima aula, veremos as versões do Java que usaremos (SE/EE/ME), em qual lugar vamos fazer o download do JDK para o Java SE e veremos as instruções para a instalação da plataforma Java que será utilizada durante todo o curso.

Por ser uma linguagem multiplataforma, o Java tem que utilizar pacotes adicionais para que os seus arquivos não sejam sobrecarregados sem necessidade.
Para isso, é necessário utilizar a instrução "import" para carregar bibliotecas de pacotes adicionais.
Por padrão, apenas o pacote java.lang é carregado automaticamente. Porém, caso você precise carregar bibliotecas adicionais, utilize a importação desses pacotes.
Biblioteca Swing
O Swing é uma evolução do antigo AWT (Abstract Windows Toolkit) que permite criar interfaces gráficas atraentes para qualquer sistema operacional baseado em janelas.
Plataforma JavaFX
Com o objetivo de substituir o Swing, o JavaFX cria interfaces para qualquer tipos de dispositivos, como ambientes de Janela, celulares e navegadores. Para a próxima versão, já está previsto o suporte para videogames, blu-rays e smart TVs.
Nessa aula, você vai aprender como criar uma aplicação simples utilizando Swing e JavaFX com XML. Não se esqueça de praticar bastante!

Java (Indonesian: Jawa; Javanese: ꦗꦮ) is an island of Indonesia. Formed mostly as the result of volcanic eruptions, Java is the 13th largest island in the world and the fifth largest in Indonesia. A chain of volcanic mountains forms an east–west spine along the island. Three main languages are spoken on the island, with Javanese being the dominant; it is the native language of about 60 million people in Indonesia, most of whom live on Java. Most residents are bilingual, with Indonesian as their first or second language. While the majority of the people of Java are Muslim, Java has a diverse mixture of religious beliefs, ethnicities, and cultures.

Java (programming language)

O JavaC (Java Compiler) vai transformar o Código Fonte Java em Bytecode, um código específico que vai executar em uma Máquina Virtual Java (Java Virtual Machine - JVM). Uma JVM é uma solução de software capaz de executar bytecode em qualquer máquina, independente da plataforma que o Código Fonte foi compilado. Java é multiplataforma sem a necessidade de recompilação. A JVM é composta por várias partes internas, como por exemplo Loader, Verificador, Interpretador, Gerenciador de Memória e Compilador JIT (Just in Time). Atualmente existem JVMs em várias plataformas, como Computadores Pessoais (Windows, Linux, MacOS), dispositivos móveis (Android) e até mesmo os modernos wearables (relógios inteligentes, óculos inteligentes). O princípio de funcionamento desse mecanismo explicado acima é conhecido pela sigla WORA (Write Once Run Anywhere) que significa “Escreva uma vez, execute em qualquer lugar”. JRE (Java Runtime Environment) é um conjunto de software que forma um ambiente para a execução de bytecodes feitos em Java. Ela é composta da JVM e bibliotecas adicionais. JDK (Java Development Kit) é um conjunto de programas que todo programador Java deve ter. Ele é um kit de desenvolvimento Java composto pela JRE (item acima), o JavaLang, o JavaTools (JavaC, Debugger, APIs). Além disso, você ainda pode adicionar uma IDE para facilitar o desenvolvimento Java. As IDEs mais conhecidas são o Eclipse, o IntelliJ e o NetBeans. Even I was shocked at so few hours!

Top 10 Java Books Every Developer Should Read
Java is definitely one of the most popular languages of all time. Practically, everyone knows Java, even people that are not programmers or developers.
According to Statistic Times, when it comes to programming languages popularity, "Java is the most widely popular programming language in both Index (PYPL and TIOBE). Java has a 23.6 percent and 18.24 percent developer share in PYPL and TIOBE Index, respectively. Java is taking lead by 10.3 percent and 7.28 percent in PYPL and TIOBE Index, respectively in the global ranking. In India, Java is ahead by 6.5%. But in the US, Java is ahead by only 2.4%. The share of Java has decreased compare to the year before in both indexes. In India, the share of Java is declined by more than 10%."

A História da Linguagem Java se inicia em 1990, quando a Sun Microsystems criou uma equipe chamada Green Team, liderada por James Gosling.
Até o momento, as Linguagens de Programação como Pascal e C, precisavam de compiladores específicos para cada plataforma. Sem isso, os programas só seriam executáveis para um único sistema.
Foi aí que o grupo criou o projeto GreenTalk, que virou a Linguagem Oak, capaz de ligar dispositivos diferentes e fazer com que eles pudessem se comunicar.
O Star Seven (*7) surgiu em 1991 e era um aparelho multimídia capaz de controlar vários dispositivos da sua casa. Infelizmente o projeto não foi aceito na época e tudo foi engavetado em 1992.
Em 1994, com o advento da World Wide Web (www) e da Linguagem HTML, o projeto da Sun foi reestabelecido com o objetivo de criar um Navegador Web capaz de rodar aplicativos em Oak.
O nome "Oak" não poderia ser utilizado por questões de direitos relacionados. A linguagem foi rebatizada em homenagem a uma gíria relativa a "Café Quente": Java Coffee.
Surgem então o navegador HotJava e a linguagem Java, que ficou famosa por conta de matérias veiculadas pela imprensa da época.
A partir daí, vários projetos surgiram para usar Java em todo lugar. O Java Ring e Sondas Espaciais da NASA são exemplos disso.
Em 2006 a Linguagem Java se tornou Open Source, que tem seu código livre para consultas, pesquisas e personalizações. Java usa a licença GPL (General Public Licence)
Em 2009 a Sun Microsystems foi vendida para a Oracle por US$7,4 bilhões.
Atualmente, a Linguagem Java pode ser encontrada em chips de cartão de crédito, discos de blu-ray, vídeo games (PS4 roda Java), leitores de e-books (Kindle roda Java), smartphones (Android roda Java), TV digital (o padrão Ginga é feito em Java), relógios inteligentes (Moto 360 roda Java) e até mesmo no programa para a Declaração de Imposto de Renda.

Como funciona o Java? Você sabe o que é JVM, JRE, JDK, JavaC, bytecode? É exatamente isso que você vai aprender durante essa aula.
O JavaC (Java Compiler) vai transformar o Código Fonte Java em Bytecode, um código específico que vai executar em uma Máquina Virtual Java (Java Virtual Machine - JVM).
Uma JVM é uma solução de software capaz de executar bytecode em qualquer máquina, independente da plataforma que o Código Fonte foi compilado. Java é multiplataforma sem a necessidade de recompilação.
A JVM é composta por várias partes internas, como por exemplo Loader, Verificador, Interpretador, Gerenciador de Memória e Compilador JIT (Just in Time).
Atualmente existem JVMs em várias plataformas, como Computadores Pessoais (Windows, Linux, MacOS), dispositivos móveis (Android) e até mesmo os modernos wearables (relógios inteligentes, óculos inteligentes).
O princípio de funcionamento desse mecanismo explicado acima é conhecido pela sigla WORA (Write Once Run Anywhere) que significa “Escreva uma vez, execute em qualquer lugar”.
JRE (Java Runtime Environment) é um conjunto de software que forma um ambiente para a execução de bytecodes feitos em Java. Ela é composta da JVM e bibliotecas adicionais.
JDK (Java Development Kit) é um conjunto de programas que todo programador Java deve ter. Ele é um kit de desenvolvimento Java composto pela JRE (item acima), o JavaLang, o JavaTools (JavaC, Debugger, APIs). Além disso, você ainda pode adicionar uma IDE para facilitar o desenvolvimento Java.
As IDEs mais conhecidas são o Eclipse, o IntelliJ e o NetBeans. O Curso em Vídeo de Java vai adotar o NetBeans para o aprendizado da Linguagem Java.
Na próxima aula, veremos as versões do Java que usaremos (SE/EE/ME), em qual lugar vamos fazer o download do JDK para o Java SE e veremos as instruções para a instalação da plataforma Java que será utilizada durante todo o curso.

Por ser uma linguagem multiplataforma, o Java tem que utilizar pacotes adicionais para que os seus arquivos não sejam sobrecarregados sem necessidade.
Para isso, é necessário utilizar a instrução "import" para carregar bibliotecas de pacotes adicionais.
Por padrão, apenas o pacote java.lang é carregado automaticamente. Porém, caso você precise carregar bibliotecas adicionais, utilize a importação desses pacotes.
Biblioteca Swing
O Swing é uma evolução do antigo AWT (Abstract Windows Toolkit) que permite criar interfaces gráficas atraentes para qualquer sistema operacional baseado em janelas.
Plataforma JavaFX
Com o objetivo de substituir o Swing, o JavaFX cria interfaces para qualquer tipos de dispositivos, como ambientes de Janela, celulares e navegadores. Para a próxima versão, já está previsto o suporte para videogames, blu-rays e smart TVs.
Nessa aula, você vai aprender como criar uma aplicação simples utilizando Swing e JavaFX com XML. Não se esqueça de praticar bastante!

My friends and I have been traveling through Indonesia for one month. We visited Sumatra, Java, Bali, Lombok and the Gili islands. I think Indonesia is truly an amazing country to visit. We started on the island Sumatra where we went to Bukit Lawang, situated in the northern part of Sumatra. This place is well known for it’s jungle with still loads of wild orangutans! Doing a jungle trekking is really amazing since you have a very big chance of seeing wild orangutans. We saw loads and they even came up to us and grabbed us; unreal! Hey guys! We're in Indonesia for a week. Yeah, so this is our second time back in Indonesia and this week we're going to be exploring Yogyakarta and Central Java and this video is going to show you some of the top attractions in the region. Can't wait to show you around. Let's go!
For our very first stop in Central Java, we headed to the biggest Buddhist monument in the world and the most popular attraction in the region: Borobudur.
So we are ready for another adventure. Tell us! Yeah, we're heading up to Mount Merapi and there is basically two different ways you can do it. You can hike up but we're going with a jeep. Yeah, it'll be fun. Hop on in.
After a few days in Jogja, we hopped on a train and headed towards Solo, also known as Surakarta. The ride was a little over an hour, and not only was it an inexpensive way to travel, but it was also incredibly scenic. We zoomed past villages and rice fields, and before we knew it, we had arrived.
So right now we're inside Pasar Triwindu which is an antiques market here in Solo and we are seeing some real gems.
So I went shopping for my Batik and I found one I really like. It cost about 30 US dollars and I can't wait to start wearing it. I think the first time I'll try it on is for dinner soon.
So we're starting off with coconut milk pancakes which are called Serabi.
Our next stop in Solo was the Mangkunegaran Palace, which dates back to 1757. Part of the royal family still lives here, so you can’t wander around.
Another way to experience Solo is by doing a tour on a pedibike, also known as a becak.
This trip was all about going in search of food, culture and a little bit of adventure. Over the course of the week we visited ancient temples, browsed through antique markets, ate our fair share of street food, and tackled a rather infamous volcano. In this video we are going to show you 20 things to do in Yogyakarta and Central Java, so let’s get started.

A list of 226 Indonesian mountains has recently been compiled.
Hardly surprisingly in the world's largest archipelago, beaches are significant attractions. Aside from the obvious like Bali, there are wonderful beaches in off-the-beaten-track locations in Maluku, Nusa Tenggara and Sulawesi. In a nation of 18,000+ islands, the options are almost endless.
Indonesia has some of the largest remaining tracts of tropical forest anywhere in the world, and these support an incredibly diverse wildlife from Orangutans and other primates to critically endangered Javan Rhinoceros and Tigers, and an extraordinarily wide range of bird species. Forest areas recognised as UNESCO World Heritage Sites are Ujung Kulon National Park in West Java, and three huge parks in Sumatra, which together comprise the Tropical Rain Forest Heritage of Sumatra: Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park, Gunung Leuser National Park and Kerinci Seblat National Park.
Further east, Komodo Island is the home of the remarkable Komodo Dragon and a very diverse marine life. Close to the very eastern limit of Indonesia, the remote Lorentz National Park in Papua has a permanent glacier, and is the single largest national park anywhere in Southeast Asia.

Borobudur in Central Java is the world's largest Buddhist monument, dating from the 8th century, and nearby Prambanan is a remarkable Hindu monument dating from just a few years later. Those two, together with the charm of Yogyakarta, make for a popular cultural combination in Central Java.
Also in Central Java, the Dieng Plateau is home to the oldest extant temples in Indonesia, predating Borobudur by some 100 years, and just north of Solo, the early man archaeological excavation at Sangiran is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In such a vast archipelago it is hardly surprising that there are some very distinct and unique cultures, often contained in relatively small areas. Bali has a unique Hindu culture, descended from the great Javanese Majapahit Kingdom in the 13th and 14th centuries. The whole island is adorned by beautifully kept temples (pura), and there is a seemingly endless procession of colourful ceremonies. Some of the better known are the mother temple at Besakih, Pura Ulun Danau Bratan, and Pura Uluwatu.
Further east, Sumba is home to one of the few remaining megalithic cultures anywhere on earth. In Sulawesi, the Tana Toraja region is famous for spectacular animist burial rites. Visiting the vast hinterland of Papua in the far east of the country requires considerable planning, an awful lot of money, and a tolerance for extremely challenging conditions. However, for those who want a true wilderness experience and the opportunity to witness first-hand cultures that have had very little contact with the outside world, it is hard to think of a better option anywhere on earth.

My friends and I have been traveling through Indonesia for one month. We visited Sumatra, Java, Bali, Lombok and the Gili islands. I think Indonesia is truly an...
My friends and I have been traveling through Indonesia for one month. We visited Sumatra, Java, Bali, Lombok and the Gili islands. I think Indonesia is truly an amazing country to visit.
We started on the island Sumatra where we went to Bukit Lawang, situated in the northern part of Sumatra. This place is well known for it’s jungle with still loads of wild orangutans! Doing a jungle trekking is really amazing since you have a very big chance of seeing wild orangutans. We saw loads and they even came up to us and grabbed us; unreal! Furthermore we’ve also been on lake Toba for a couple of days. A beautiful lake with an island in the middle. It was nice to relax for some days.
After Sumatra we flew to Yogyakarta were (obviously) we’ve visited the stunning Borobudur temple. We’ve not seen much more there because the day after we were gonna head to the east of Java, Banyuwangi, where you can find the awesome Ijen volcano. In the night we started climbing the volcano and after some time you will see this beautiful crater and the famous ‘blue fire’. Once down the crater, it started to become light and slowly the sky turns in all these beautiful colors while the sun is coming up. It’s only then you start seeing the beautiful light blue lake and the yellow colors in the crater. It was such nice experience!
After Java we went to Lombok by boat and bus. Were we stayed in Kuta, this really chilled surfer hotspot. From there we rented a scooter and drove around Lombok. We also had a nice day at the beach of Selong Belanak. After spending some days on Lombok we took the boat to the Gili islands, the island Gili Trawangan (the party island) to be precies. These islands are close to the northwest of Lombok. Three beautiful small islands surrounded with nice blue water. Ideal for snorkeling trips or diving. But I have to say that I did not like the way they treat the horses on the islands that are used for transport all over. It’s just really sad! Please do not support this kind of transportation if you are there.
After the Gili’s I unfortunately had to say goodbye to my friends and I hopped on the boat to Bali, where a bus drove me to Kuta. Although it’s quite a touristy place, I really enjoyed it over there. Kuta beach is just amazing, with perfect surfer waves rolling in the whole day. Unfortunately I could only spend like three days on Bali, so I only stayed in the Kuta area. But I will definitely go back to Bali to see the whole island!
I really enjoyed my travels through Indonesia. Friendly people everywhere and just amazingly nature and beautiful culture. I will be back!

East Java might be the least populated area in Java island, but its charm and unique terrain will captivate its visitors. Capital of East Java province, Surabaya, is a cosmopolitan city and you can find any comfortable surroundings and facilities there. However within a short trip you might be tempted to enjoy the natural charms such as climbing Mt. Bromo and enjoying fabulous sunrise there or probably trying to conquer Mount Semeru, the highest mountain in Java (about 3676 meters above sea level).
Some parks are available for those who prefer natural surroundings. An island on the eastern part of Java called Madura is also famous for its distinct culture and bull races of karapan sapi, usually held in August and September every year.

East Java might be the least populated area in Java island, but its charm and unique terrain will captivate its visitors. Capital of East Java province, Surabaya, is a cosmopolitan city and you can find any comfortable surroundings and facilities there. However within a short trip you might be tempted to enjoy the natural charms such as climbing Mt. Bromo and enjoying fabulous sunrise there or probably trying to conquer Mount Semeru, the highest mountain in Java (about 3676 meters above sea level).
Some parks are available for those who prefer natural surroundings. An island on the eastern part of Java called Madura is also famous for its distinct culture and bull races of karapan sapi, usually held in August and September every year.

Thank You! I am so so happy that at-last someone realized the effort that went into editing and the true advantage of the video. People write and ask how can someone learn Java in 4 hrs? This is not a 4 hr class, but a full 5 day(40 hrs) class. Edited so tight(No err, uhh, sometimes I edited out even the time between the words) that what resulted is a 4hr video. Even I was shocked at so few hours!

Java has a 23.6 percent and 18.24 percent developer share in PYPL and TIOBE Index, respectively. Java is taking lead by 10.3 percent and 7.28 percent in PYPL and TIOBE Index, respectively in the global ranking. In India, Java is ahead by 6.5%. But in the US, Java is ahead by only 2.4%. The share of Java has decreased compare to the year before in both indexes. In India, the share of Java is declined by more than 10%."

O nome "Oak" não poderia ser utilizado por questões de direitos relacionados. A linguagem foi rebatizada em homenagem a uma gíria relativa a "Café Quente": Java Coffee.
Surgem então o navegador HotJava e a linguagem Java, que ficou famosa por conta de matérias veiculadas pela imprensa da época.
A partir daí, vários projetos surgiram para usar Java em todo lugar. O Java Ring e Sondas Espaciais da NASA são exemplos disso.
Em 2006 a Linguagem Java se tornou Open Source, que tem seu código livre para consultas, pesquisas e personalizações. Java usa a licença GPL (General Public Licence)
Em 2009 a Sun Microsystems foi vendida para a Oracle por US$7,4 bilhões.
Atualmente, a Linguagem Java pode ser encontrada em chips de cartão de crédito, discos de blu-ray, vídeo games (PS4 roda Java), leitores de e-books (Kindle roda Java), smartphones (Android roda Java), TV digital (o padrão Ginga é feito em Java), relógios inteligentes (Moto 360 roda Java) e até mesmo no programa para a Declaração de Imposto de Renda.

A História da Linguagem Java se inicia em 1990, quando a Sun Microsystems criou uma equipe chamada Green Team, liderada por James Gosling.
Até o momento, as Linguagens de Programação como Pascal e C, precisavam de compiladores específicos para cada plataforma. Sem isso, os programas só seriam executáveis para um único sistema.
Foi aí que o grupo criou o projeto GreenTalk, que virou a Linguagem Oak, capaz de ligar dispositivos diferentes e fazer com que eles pudessem se comunicar.
O Star Seven (*7) surgiu em 1991 e era um aparelho multimídia capaz de controlar vários dispositivos da sua casa. Infelizmente o projeto não foi aceito na época e tudo foi engavetado em 1992.
Em 1994, com o advento da World Wide Web (www) e da Linguagem HTML, o projeto da Sun foi reestabelecido com o objetivo de criar um Navegador Web capaz de rodar aplicativos em Oak.
O nome "Oak" não poderia ser utilizado por questões de direitos relacionados. A linguagem foi rebatizada em homenagem a uma gíria relativa a "Café Quente": Java Coffee.
Surgem então o navegador HotJava e a linguagem Java, que ficou famosa por conta de matérias veiculadas pela imprensa da época.
A partir daí, vários projetos surgiram para usar Java em todo lugar. O Java Ring e Sondas Espaciais da NASA são exemplos disso.
Em 2006 a Linguagem Java se tornou Open Source, que tem seu código livre para consultas, pesquisas e personalizações. Java usa a licença GPL (General Public Licence)
Em 2009 a Sun Microsystems foi vendida para a Oracle por US$7,4 bilhões.
Atualmente, a Linguagem Java pode ser encontrada em chips de cartão de crédito, discos de blu-ray, vídeo games (PS4 roda Java), leitores de e-books (Kindle roda Java), smartphones (Android roda Java), TV digital (o padrão Ginga é feito em Java), relógios inteligentes (Moto 360 roda Java) e até mesmo no programa para a Declaração de Imposto de Renda.

Como funciona o Java? Você sabe o que é JVM, JRE, JDK, JavaC, bytecode? É exatamente isso que você vai aprender durante essa aula.
O JavaC (Java Compiler) vai transformar o Código Fonte Java em Bytecode, um código específico que vai executar em uma Máquina Virtual Java (Java Virtual Machine - JVM).
Uma JVM é uma solução de software capaz de executar bytecode em qualquer máquina, independente da plataforma que o Código Fonte foi compilado. Java é multiplataforma sem a necessidade de recompilação.
A JVM é composta por várias partes internas, como por exemplo Loader, Verificador, Interpretador, Gerenciador de Memória e Compilador JIT (Just in Time).
Atualmente existem JVMs em várias plataformas, como Computadores Pessoais (Windows, Linux, MacOS), dispositivos móveis (Android) e até mesmo os modernos wearables (relógios inteligentes, óculos inteligentes).
O princípio de funcionamento desse mecanismo explicado acima é conhecido pela sigla WORA (Write Once Run Anywhere) que significa “Escreva uma vez, execute em qualquer lugar”.
JRE (Java Runtime Environment) é um conjunto de software que forma um ambiente para a execução de bytecodes feitos em Java. Ela é composta da JVM e bibliotecas adicionais.
JDK (Java Development Kit) é um conjunto de programas que todo programador Java deve ter. Ele é um kit de desenvolvimento Java composto pela JRE (item acima), o JavaLang, o JavaTools (JavaC, Debugger, APIs). Além disso, você ainda pode adicionar uma IDE para facilitar o desenvolvimento Java.
As IDEs mais conhecidas são o Eclipse, o IntelliJ e o NetBeans. O Curso em Vídeo de Java vai adotar o NetBeans para o aprendizado da Linguagem Java.
Na próxima aula, veremos as versões do Java que usaremos (SE/EE/ME), em qual lugar vamos fazer o download do JDK para o Java SE e veremos as instruções para a instalação da plataforma Java que será utilizada durante todo o curso.

Por ser uma linguagem multiplataforma, o Java tem que utilizar pacotes adicionais para que os seus arquivos não sejam sobrecarregados sem necessidade.
Para isso, é necessário utilizar a instrução "import" para carregar bibliotecas de pacotes adicionais.
Por padrão, apenas o pacote java.lang é carregado automaticamente. Porém, caso você precise carregar bibliotecas adicionais, utilize a importação desses pacotes.
Biblioteca Swing
O Swing é uma evolução do antigo AWT (Abstract Windows Toolkit) que permite criar interfaces gráficas atraentes para qualquer sistema operacional baseado em janelas.
Plataforma JavaFX
Com o objetivo de substituir o Swing, o JavaFX cria interfaces para qualquer tipos de dispositivos, como ambientes de Janela, celulares e navegadores. Para a próxima versão, já está previsto o suporte para videogames, blu-rays e smart TVs.
Nessa aula, você vai aprender como criar uma aplicação simples utilizando Swing e JavaFX com XML. Não se esqueça de praticar bastante!
