Pink Floyd - Another Brick In The Wall
Lifted from "Pink Floyd The Wall" film, this video is actually comprised of two songs: "The Happiest Days Of Our Lives" and "Another Brick In The Wall Pt. 2" This video became the official video of "Another Brick In The Wall Pt. 2" after the release of the film in 1982.
This single is by far Pink Floyd's greatest ever mainstream success, instantly attaining classic status, and is perhaps their most famous piece of work.
ABINTW Pt. 2 even became the protest song of a group of South African students during the apartheid regime, the song was subsequently banned in South Africa.
The song itself is a protest against the rigidity of British schools, and in particular, the boarding school system Waters would have been part of as a young boy.
The poem read out by the schoolteacher is a direct reference to "Money"
The schoolteacher in this video was portrayed by the late, great, Scottish actor Alex McAvoy who passed away in June 2005.

Every sensible immigration policy has two objectives: 1) to regain control of our borders so that we decide who enters; and 2) to find a humane way to deal with the 11 million illegal immigrants who now live among us.
Start with the second. For both practical and moral reasons, America cannot and will not and should not expel 11 million people. That leaves us with two choices: ignore them or figure out a way to legalize them. Ignoring them hasn’t worked. But there is also a huge problem with legalization: it creates an irresistible incentive for new illegal immigrants to come.
We say, of course, that this will be the very last, very final, never-again, we're-not-kidding-this-time amnesty. And everyone knows it's phony. That’s what was said in 1986, when we passed the Simpson-Mazzoli immigration reform. It turned out to be the largest legalization program in American history -- nearly 3 million people got permanent residency. There was no enforcement. We now have 11 million new illegal immigrants in our midst.
The irony of this whole debate, which bitterly splits the country, is that there is a silver bullet that would not just solve the problem, but also create a national consensus behind it.
A vast number of Americans who oppose legalization and fear new waves of immigration would change their minds if we could radically reduce new -- i.e., future -- illegal immigration.
And we can.
First, build a barrier. Call it a wall. Call it a fence. Call it what you will. Add cameras and sensors. Add drones. Beef up the patrols. All that matters is that we regain control of the border.
Fences work. The triple fence outside San Diego led to a 90 percent reduction in infiltration. Israel’s border fence with the West Bank produced a similar decline. Even holier-than-thou Europeans have conceded the point: Hungary, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Austria, Greece, Spain – why, even Norway — have all started building border fences to stem the tide of Middle Eastern refugees.
Then enforce two other measures: a national E-Verify system that makes it just about impossible to work if you are here illegally, and a functioning visa tracking system, since 40% of illegal immigrants are visa overstays.
The wall/fence will, of course, be ugly. So are the concrete barriers to keep truck bombs from driving into the White House. Sometimes function has to supersede form.
And don't tell me that this is our Berlin Wall. When you build a wall to keep people in, that's a prison. When you build a wall to keep people out, that's an expression of sovereignty.
Of course, no barrier will be foolproof. But it doesn't have to be. It simply has to reduce the river to a manageable trickle. Once we do, everything becomes possible – including dealing with our 11 million illegal immigrants.
So, let’s fix that. Track the visas, do E-Verify, build the damn barrier. It’s ridiculous to say that it can’t be done.
And who would certify that the border is back in our control? I would have a neutral party, perhaps a commission of retired jurists, issue the judgment. Once they do, we legalize the 11 million, granting them the right to stay and work here.

9 - The Wall becomes a tourist attraction
According to Donald Trump, the wall will be at least 35 feet tall and 2,000 miles long. That’s not nearly as long as the Great Wall of China, which is 13,000 miles, but it would be higher. The Great Wall was only 26 feet tall at its highest points, a good 10 feet shorter than the Trump Wall. And still, it’s one of the great tourist attractions of China. Another popular wall- turned-attraction was the Berlin Wall, which was around 12 feet tall and ran about 66 miles. Anytime you build something so massive, people are going to want to get a look at it. Two things that make the Berlin Wall and the Great Wall of China better tourist attractions are their accessibility. You can walk on the Great Wall, and West Berliners could walk right up to the Berlin Wall and paint on it. That might not be the case for the Trump wall. Americans may be able to get close, but they sure won’t get to walk on it. Although, with the cost of maintaining the wall, Customs and Border Protection may start offering paid tours. In areas like Tijuana the wall will go through urban areas. Right now there’s an ugly corrugated metal wall, but a shiny concrete wall might attract the kind of artists that decorated the Berlin Wall, maybe on both sides.
8 - The Wall goes way over budget
Trump estimated that the wall would cost anywhere 4 billion to 12 billion dollars; the numbers keep changing. Well, the wall will be 35 feet high and 2,000 miles long. Building experts estimate 10 billion dollars for the concrete panels, 5 billion for steel columns to hold the panels (including labor) and another 1 billion for concrete footings and foundation. That’s 16 billion dollars before taking transportation costs into account. You also have to build new roads to accommodate trucks hauling concrete and steel to remote desert areas. Let’s say that costs 2 billion dollars. Now add 30 percent for the management costs, engineering, and design. That makes 23.4 billion dollars if everything goes according to budget. Now, when’s the last time any major government project came anywhere near the budget? And that’s just building the wall. It also has to be maintained. The Congressional budget office estimates the costs of maintaining the wall would exceed the building costs in 7 years. Oh, and you have to staff it. Even with only one person per mile, that takes 2,000 officers per shift - all federal workers with pensions and everything. Whew.
7 - The Wall Only Stops Half
What do we mean when we stay it only stops half? Around half of the people that are in the United States illegally came into the country through an airport or official border crossing, all perfectly legal. They just didn’t leave when their thirty day visa ran out. A wall won’t stop these people. Obviously, there’s no guarantee that a wall would stop every illegal person coming from Mexico either.
During the Cold War, over 1200 people directly escaped East Germany every year, despite a massive wall, shoot to kill orders, and a secret service system keeping tabs on everybody and their dog. People are pretty ingenious, and if there’s a will, there’s a way. The sheer length of the US border will make it hard to control the entire stretch, and you can take a short boat trip around either end. And there are always tunnels. Israel, another wall building nation, has detected at least 30 tunnels under walls in its Gaza strip. Some of the tunnels have been miles long, 60 feet underground, and big enough to ride a motorcycle through. Hey, there may be job openings for Palestinian tunnel diggers in Mexico!

The Wall
The Wall is the eleventh studio album by the English progressive rock band Pink Floyd. It is the last studio album released with the classic lineup of guitarist David Gilmour, bassist/lyricist Roger Waters, keyboardist Richard Wright and drummer Nick Mason before Wright left the band. Released as a double album on 30 November 1979, it was supported by a tour with elaborate theatrical effects, and adapted into a 1982 feature film, Pink Floyd – The Wall. The album features the band's only number one single; "Another Brick in the Wall Part 2".
As with Pink Floyd's previous three albums, The Wall is a concept album and explores themes of abandonment and personal isolation. The album is a rock opera that follows Pink, a character whom Waters modelled after himself and the band's original leader, Syd Barrett. Pink's life begins with the loss of his father during the Second World War and continues with abuse from his schoolteachers, an overprotective mother, and the breakdown of his marriage; all contribute to his eventual self-imposed isolation from society, represented by a metaphorical wall. Waters conceived the album during Pink Floyd's 1977 In the Flesh Tour, when his frustration with the audience became so acute that he imagined a wall between the audience and the stage.

Great Wall of China
The Great Wall of China is a series of fortifications made of stone, brick, tamped earth, wood, and other materials, generally built along an east-to-west line across the historical northern borders of China to protect the Chinese states and empires against the raids and invasions of the various nomadic groups of the Eurasian Steppe. Several walls were being built as early as the 7th century BCE; these, later joined together and made bigger and stronger, are now collectively referred to as the Great Wall. Especially famous is the wall built 220–206 BCE by Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China. Little of that wall remains. Since then, the Great Wall has on and off been rebuilt, maintained, and enhanced; the majority of the existing wall is from the Ming Dynasty.
Other purposes of the Great Wall have included border controls, allowing the imposition of duties on goods transported along the Silk Road, regulation or encouragement of trade and the control of immigration and emigration. Furthermore, the defensive characteristics of the Great Wall were enhanced by the construction of watch towers, troop barracks, garrison stations, signaling capabilities through the means of smoke or fire, and the fact that the path of the Great Wall also served as a transportation corridor.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson
Aaron Taylor-Johnson (born Aaron Perry Johnson; 13 June 1990) is an English actor, best known as the title character in the Kick-Ass films and Quicksilver in Avengers: Age of Ultron. He began performing at age six and has appeared in films such as Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging (2008) and The Illusionist (2006). He then moved onto starring roles in Nowhere Boy, in which he played John Lennon; Kick-Ass and its sequel Kick-Ass 2, in which he played the title character; in the crime thriller film Savages and the monster movie Godzilla. Johnson played Quicksilver in a mid-credits scene in Captain America: The Winter Soldier in 2014, and reprised the role in 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron, the sequel to The Avengers.
He was initially credited as Aaron Johnson, but began being billed as Aaron Taylor-Johnson in 2013, with Kick-Ass 2. He had legally changed his name after marrying director Sam Taylor-Wood.
Early life
Johnson was born in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, the son of a housewife mother and civil engineer father. He has a sister, Gemma, who appeared in his film Tom & Thomas (2002) in a small role. Johnson is Jewish. He was educated at Holmer Green Senior School and attended the Jackie Palmer Stage School in High Wycombe between 1996 and 2008, where he was tutored in drama, tap, jazz, acrobatics, and singing.

John Cena
John Felix Anthony Cena (/ˈsiːnə/; born April 23, 1977) is an American professional wrestler, rapper and an actor signed to WWE, but is on hiatus due to injury as of February 2016. Cena is credited by WWE as the public face of that organization, and has served as its franchise player since 2005.

Start with the second. For both practical and moral reasons, America cannot and will not and should not expel 11 million people. That leaves us with two choices: ignore them or figure out a way to legalize them. Ignoring them hasn’t worked. But there is also a huge problem with legalization: it creates an irresistible incentive for new illegal immigrants to come. We say, of course, that this will be the very last, very final, never-again, we're-not-kidding-this-time amnesty. And everyone knows it's phony. That’s what was said in 1986, when we passed the Simpson-Mazzoli immigration reform. It turned out to be the largest legalization program in American history -- nearly 3 million people got permanent residency. There was no enforcement. We now have 11 million new illegal immigrants in our midst. The irony of this whole debate, which bitterly splits the country, is that there is a silver bullet that would not just solve the problem, but also create a national consensus behind it. A vast number of Americans who oppose legalization and fear new waves of immigration would change their minds if we could radically reduce new -- i.e., future -- illegal immigration. And we can. First, build a barrier. Call it a wall. Call it a fence. Call it what you will. Add cameras and sensors. Add drones. Beef up the patrols. All that matters is that we regain control of the border. Fences work. The triple fence outside San Diego led to a 90 percent reduction in infiltration. Israel’s border fence with the West Bank produced a similar decline. Even holier-than-thou Europeans have conceded the point: Hungary, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Austria, Greece, Spain – why, even Norway — have all started building border fences to stem the tide of Middle Eastern refugees. Then enforce two other measures: a national E-Verify system that makes it just about impossible to work if you are here illegally, and a functioning visa tracking system, since 40% of illegal immigrants are visa overstays. The wall/fence will, of course, be ugly. So are the concrete barriers to keep truck bombs from driving into the White House. Sometimes function has to supersede form. And don't tell me that this is our Berlin Wall. When you build a wall to keep people in, that's a prison. When you build a wall to keep people out, that's an expression of sovereignty. Of course, no barrier will be foolproof. But it doesn't have to be. It simply has to reduce the river to a manageable trickle. Once we do, everything becomes possible – including dealing with our 11 million illegal immigrants. So, let’s fix that. Track the visas, do E-Verify, build the damn barrier. It’s ridiculous to say that it can’t be done. And who would certify that the border is back in our control? I would have a neutral party, perhaps a commission of retired jurists, issue the judgment. That’s not nearly as long as the Great Wall of China, which is 13,000 miles, but it would be higher. The Great Wall was only 26 feet tall at its highest points, a good 10 feet shorter than the Trump Wall. And still, it’s one of the great tourist attractions of China. Another popular wall- turned-attraction was the Berlin Wall, which was around 12 feet tall and ran about 66 miles. Anytime you build something so massive, people are going to want to get a look at it. Two things that make the Berlin Wall and the Great Wall of China better tourist attractions are their accessibility. You can walk on the Great Wall, and West Berliners could walk right up to the Berlin Wall and paint on it. That might not be the case for the Trump wall. Americans may be able to get close, but they sure won’t get to walk on it. Although, with the cost of maintaining the wall, Customs and Border Protection may start offering paid tours. In areas like Tijuana the wall will go through urban areas. Right now there’s an ugly corrugated metal wall, but a shiny concrete wall might attract the kind of artists that decorated the Berlin Wall, maybe on both sides. 8 - The Wall goes way over budget Trump estimated that the wall would cost anywhere 4 billion to 12 billion dollars; the numbers keep changing. Well, the wall will be 35 feet high and 2,000 miles long. Building experts estimate 10 billion dollars for the concrete panels, 5 billion for steel columns to hold the panels (including labor) and another 1 billion for concrete footings and foundation. That’s 16 billion dollars before taking transportation costs into account. You also have to build new roads to accommodate trucks hauling concrete and steel to remote desert areas. Let’s say that costs 2 billion dollars. Now add 30 percent for the management costs, engineering, and design. That makes 23.4 billion dollars if everything goes according to budget. Now, when’s the last time any major government project came anywhere near the budget? And that’s just building the wall. It also has to be maintained. The Congressional budget office estimates the costs of maintaining the wall would exceed the building costs in 7 years. Oh, and you have to staff it. Even with only one person per mile, that takes 2,000 officers per shift - all federal workers with pensions and everything. Whew. 7 - The Wall Only Stops Half What do we mean when we stay it only stops half? Around half of the people that are in the United States illegally came into the country through an airport or official border crossing, all perfectly legal. They just didn’t leave when their thirty day visa ran out. A wall won’t stop these people. Obviously, there’s no guarantee that a wall would stop every illegal person coming from Mexico either. During the Cold War, over 1200 people directly escaped East Germany every year, despite a massive wall, shoot to kill orders, and a secret service system keeping tabs on everybody and their dog. People are pretty ingenious, and if there’s a will, there’s a way. The sheer length of the US border will make it hard to control the entire stretch, and you can take a short boat trip around either end. And there are always tunnels. Israel, another wall building nation, has detected at least 30 tunnels under walls in its Gaza strip. Some of the tunnels have been miles long, 60 feet underground, and big enough to ride a motorcycle through. Hey, there may be job openings for Palestinian tunnel diggers in Mexico! -

Every sensible immigration policy has two objectives: 1) to regain control of our borders so that we decide who enters; and 2) to find a humane way to deal with the 11 million illegal immigrants who now live among us.
Start with the second. For both practical and moral reasons, America cannot and will not and should not expel 11 million people. That leaves us with two choices: ignore them or figure out a way to legalize them. Ignoring them hasn’t worked. But there is also a huge problem with legalization: it creates an irresistible incentive for new illegal immigrants to come.
We say, of course, that this will be the very last, very final, never-again, we're-not-kidding-this-time amnesty. And everyone knows it's phony. That’s what was said in 1986, when we passed the Simpson-Mazzoli immigration reform. It turned out to be the largest legalization program in American history -- nearly 3 million people got permanent residency. There was no enforcement. We now have 11 million new illegal immigrants in our midst.
The irony of this whole debate, which bitterly splits the country, is that there is a silver bullet that would not just solve the problem, but also create a national consensus behind it.
A vast number of Americans who oppose legalization and fear new waves of immigration would change their minds if we could radically reduce new -- i.e., future -- illegal immigration.
And we can.
First, build a barrier. Call it a wall. Call it a fence. Call it what you will. Add cameras and sensors. Add drones. Beef up the patrols. All that matters is that we regain control of the border.
Fences work. The triple fence outside San Diego led to a 90 percent reduction in infiltration. Israel’s border fence with the West Bank produced a similar decline. Even holier-than-thou Europeans have conceded the point: Hungary, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Austria, Greece, Spain – why, even Norway — have all started building border fences to stem the tide of Middle Eastern refugees.

Every sensible immigration policy has two objectives: 1) to regain control of our borders so that we decide who enters; and 2) to find a humane way to deal with the 11 million illegal immigrants who now live among us.
Start with the second. For both practical and moral reasons, America cannot and will not and should not expel 11 million people. That leaves us with two choices: ignore them or figure out a way to legalize them. Ignoring them hasn’t worked. But there is also a huge problem with legalization: it creates an irresistible incentive for new illegal immigrants to come.
We say, of course, that this will be the very last, very final, never-again, we're-not-kidding-this-time amnesty. And everyone knows it's phony. That’s what was said in 1986, when we passed the Simpson-Mazzoli immigration reform. It turned out to be the largest legalization program in American history -- nearly 3 million people got permanent residency. There was no enforcement. We now have 11 million new illegal immigrants in our midst.
The irony of this whole debate, which bitterly splits the country, is that there is a silver bullet that would not just solve the problem, but also create a national consensus behind it.
A vast number of Americans who oppose legalization and fear new waves of immigration would change their minds if we could radically reduce new -- i.e., future -- illegal immigration.
And we can.
First, build a barrier. Call it a wall. Call it a fence. Call it what you will. Add cameras and sensors. Add drones. Beef up the patrols. All that matters is that we regain control of the border.
Fences work. The triple fence outside San Diego led to a 90 percent reduction in infiltration. Israel’s border fence with the West Bank produced a similar decline. Even holier-than-thou Europeans have conceded the point: Hungary, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Austria, Greece, Spain – why, even Norway — have all started building border fences to stem the tide of Middle Eastern refugees.

9 - The Wall becomes a tourist attraction
According to Donald Trump, the wall will be at least 35 feet tall and 2,000 miles long. That’s not nearly as long as the Great Wall of China, which is 13,000 miles, but it would be higher. The Great Wall was only 26 feet tall at its highest points, a good 10 feet shorter than the Trump Wall. And still, it’s one of the great tourist attractions of China. Another popular wall- turned-attraction was the Berlin Wall, which was around 12 feet tall and ran about 66 miles. Anytime you build something so massive, people are going to want to get a look at it. Two things that make the Berlin Wall and the Great Wall of China better tourist attractions are their accessibility. You can walk on the Great Wall, and West Berliners could walk right up to the Berlin Wall and paint on it. That might not be the case for the Trump wall. Americans may be able to get close, but they sure won’t get to walk on it. Although, with the cost of maintaining the wall, Customs and Border Protection may start offering paid tours. In areas like Tijuana the wall will go through urban areas. Right now there’s an ugly corrugated metal wall, but a shiny concrete wall might attract the kind of artists that decorated the Berlin Wall, maybe on both sides.
8 - The Wall goes way over budget
Trump estimated that the wall would cost anywhere 4 billion to 12 billion dollars; the numbers keep changing. Well, the wall will be 35 feet high and 2,000 miles long. Building experts estimate 10 billion dollars for the concrete panels, 5 billion for steel columns to hold the panels (including labor) and another 1 billion for concrete footings and foundation. That’s 16 billion dollars before taking transportation costs into account. You also have to build new roads to accommodate trucks hauling concrete and steel to remote desert areas. Let’s say that costs 2 billion dollars. Now add 30 percent for the management costs, engineering, and design. That makes 23.4 billion dollars if everything goes according to budget. Now, when’s the last time any major government project came anywhere near the budget? And that’s just building the wall. It also has to be maintained. The Congressional budget office estimates the costs of maintaining the wall would exceed the building costs in 7 years. Oh, and you have to staff it. Even with only one person per mile, that takes 2,000 officers per shift - all federal workers with pensions and everything. Whew.
7 - The Wall Only Stops Half
What do we mean when we stay it only stops half? Around half of the people that are in the United States illegally came into the country through an airport or official border crossing, all perfectly legal. They just didn’t leave when their thirty day visa ran out. A wall won’t stop these people. Obviously, there’s no guarantee that a wall would stop every illegal person coming from Mexico either.
During the Cold War, over 1200 people directly escaped East Germany every year, despite a massive wall, shoot to kill orders, and a secret service system keeping tabs on everybody and their dog. People are pretty ingenious, and if there’s a will, there’s a way. The sheer length of the US border will make it hard to control the entire stretch, and you can take a short boat trip around either end. And there are always tunnels. Israel, another wall building nation, has detected at least 30 tunnels under walls in its Gaza strip. Some of the tunnels have been miles long, 60 feet underground, and big enough to ride a motorcycle through. Hey, there may be job openings for Palestinian tunnel diggers in Mexico!

It's been a while since I posted something here, so this is a test that I did recently to improve my skills and to add some Houdini stuff in my reel.
The breakdown is pretty long but you can get an idea about my workflow.
Like Houdini's philosophy the entire system is totally procedural so you can change the original geometry and play with parameters.

Done in Houdini 12.5, rendered in Mantra, comped in Nuke.

Every sensible immigration policy has two objectives: 1) to regain control of our borders so that we decide who enters; and 2) to find a humane way to deal with the 11 million illegal immigrants who now live among us.
Start with the second. For both practical and moral reasons, America cannot and will not and should not expel 11 million people. That leaves us with two choices: ignore them or figure out a way to legalize them. Ignoring them hasn’t worked. But there is also a huge problem with legalization: it creates an irresistible incentive for new illegal immigrants to come.
We say, of course, that this will be the very last, very final, never-again, we're-not-kidding-this-time amnesty. And everyone knows it's phony. That’s what was said in 1986, when we passed the Simpson-Mazzoli immigration reform. It turned out to be the largest legalization program in American history -- nearly 3 million people got permanent residency. There was no enforcement. We now have 11 million new illegal immigrants in our midst.
The irony of this whole debate, which bitterly splits the country, is that there is a silver bullet that would not just solve the problem, but also create a national consensus behind it.
A vast number of Americans who oppose legalization and fear new waves of immigration would change their minds if we could radically reduce new -- i.e., future -- illegal immigration.
And we can.
First, build a barrier. Call it a wall. Call it a fence. Call it what you will. Add cameras and sensors. Add drones. Beef up the patrols. All that matters is that we regain control of the border.
Fences work. The triple fence outside San Diego led to a 90 percent reduction in infiltration. Israel’s border fence with the West Bank produced a similar decline. Even holier-than-thou Europeans have conceded the point: Hungary, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Austria, Greece, Spain – why, even Norway — have all started building border fences to stem the tide of Middle Eastern refugees.
Then enforce two other measures: a national E-Verify system that makes it just about impossible to work if you are here illegally, and a functioning visa tracking system, since 40% of illegal immigrants are visa overstays.
The wall/fence will, of course, be ugly. So are the concrete barriers to keep truck bombs from driving into the White House. Sometimes function has to supersede form.
And don't tell me that this is our Berlin Wall. When you build a wall to keep people in, that's a prison. When you build a wall to keep people out, that's an expression of sovereignty.
Of course, no barrier will be foolproof. But it doesn't have to be. It simply has to reduce the river to a manageable trickle. Once we do, everything becomes possible – including dealing with our 11 million illegal immigrants.
So, let’s fix that. Track the visas, do E-Verify, build the damn barrier. It’s ridiculous to say that it can’t be done.
And who would certify that the border is back in our control? I would have a neutral party, perhaps a commission of retired jurists, issue the judgment. Once they do, we legalize the 11 million, granting them the right to stay and work here.

9 - The Wall becomes a tourist attraction
According to Donald Trump, the wall will be at least 35 feet tall and 2,000 miles long. That’s not nearly as long as the Great Wall of China, which is 13,000 miles, but it would be higher. The Great Wall was only 26 feet tall at its highest points, a good 10 feet shorter than the Trump Wall. And still, it’s one of the great tourist attractions of China. Another popular wall- turned-attraction was the Berlin Wall, which was around 12 feet tall and ran about 66 miles. Anytime you build something so massive, people are going to want to get a look at it. Two things that make the Berlin Wall and the Great Wall of China better tourist attractions are their accessibility. You can walk on the Great Wall, and West Berliners could walk right up to the Berlin Wall and paint on it. That might not be the case for the Trump wall. Americans may be able to get close, but they sure won’t get to walk on it. Although, with the cost of maintaining the wall, Customs and Border Protection may start offering paid tours. In areas like Tijuana the wall will go through urban areas. Right now there’s an ugly corrugated metal wall, but a shiny concrete wall might attract the kind of artists that decorated the Berlin Wall, maybe on both sides.
8 - The Wall goes way over budget
Trump estimated that the wall would cost anywhere 4 billion to 12 billion dollars; the numbers keep changing. Well, the wall will be 35 feet high and 2,000 miles long. Building experts estimate 10 billion dollars for the concrete panels, 5 billion for steel columns to hold the panels (including labor) and another 1 billion for concrete footings and foundation. That’s 16 billion dollars before taking transportation costs into account. You also have to build new roads to accommodate trucks hauling concrete and steel to remote desert areas. Let’s say that costs 2 billion dollars. Now add 30 percent for the management costs, engineering, and design. That makes 23.4 billion dollars if everything goes according to budget. Now, when’s the last time any major government project came anywhere near the budget? And that’s just building the wall. It also has to be maintained. The Congressional budget office estimates the costs of maintaining the wall would exceed the building costs in 7 years. Oh, and you have to staff it. Even with only one person per mile, that takes 2,000 officers per shift - all federal workers with pensions and everything. Whew.
7 - The Wall Only Stops Half
What do we mean when we stay it only stops half? Around half of the people that are in the United States illegally came into the country through an airport or official border crossing, all perfectly legal. They just didn’t leave when their thirty day visa ran out. A wall won’t stop these people. Obviously, there’s no guarantee that a wall would stop every illegal person coming from Mexico either.
During the Cold War, over 1200 people directly escaped East Germany every year, despite a massive wall, shoot to kill orders, and a secret service system keeping tabs on everybody and their dog. People are pretty ingenious, and if there’s a will, there’s a way. The sheer length of the US border will make it hard to control the entire stretch, and you can take a short boat trip around either end. And there are always tunnels. Israel, another wall building nation, has detected at least 30 tunnels under walls in its Gaza strip. Some of the tunnels have been miles long, 60 feet underground, and big enough to ride a motorcycle through. Hey, there may be job openings for Palestinian tunnel diggers in Mexico!

It's been a while since I posted something here, so this is a test that I did recently to improve my skills and to add some Houdini stuff in my reel.
The breakdown is pretty long but you can get an idea about my workflow.
Like Houdini's philosophy the entire system is totally procedural so you can change the original geometry and play with parameters.

Done in Houdini 12.5, rendered in Mantra, comped in Nuke.
