This is my version of a diy pocket dolly, driven by an adjustable 12V gear motor. The power comes from 8 AA rechargeable batteries, which are integrated into the controller. The dolly is pretty light and compact so that it fits in a backpack and I can take it with me on walks and on holiday trips.

When the Dolly Zoom shot is used in conjunction with an unsettling or emotional moment...the viewer is swept up in a visceral visual that represents the pain/confusion/anguish occurring in the story. Dolly Rebecca Parton Dean (born January 19, 1946) is an American singer-songwriter, actress, author, businesswoman, and humanitarian, known primarily for her work in country music. Her career began as a child performer on the Cas Walker radio show, then recording a few singles from the age of 13. Relocating to Nashville at age 18 in 1964, her first commercial successes were as a songwriter (her songs during this period were covered by numerous artists, including Bill Phillips and Kitty Wells). She rose to prominence in 1967 as a featured performer on singer Porter Wagoner's weekly syndicated TV program; their first duet single, a cover of Tom Paxton's "The Last Thing on My Mind", was a top-ten hit on the country singles chart and led to several successful albums before they ended their partnership in 1974. Moving towards mainstream pop music, her 1977 single "Here You Come Again" was a success on both the country and pop charts. A string of pop-country hits followed into the mid-1980s, the most successful being her 1980 hit "9 to 5" (from the film of the same name) and her 1983 duet with Kenny Rogers "Islands in the Stream", both of which topped the U.S. pop and country singles charts. A pair of albums recorded with Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris were among her later successes. In the late 1990s, she returned to classic country/bluegrass with a series of acclaimed recordings. Non-musical ventures include Dollywood, a theme park in Pigeon Forge in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, and her efforts on behalf of childhood literacy, particularly her Imagination Library, as well as Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede and Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show.

Baby Alive
Baby Alive is a baby doll made by Hasbro that eats, drinks, wets and in some cases messes. Its mouth moves. It is marketed as being lifelike. It was originally made and introduced by Kenner in 1973, and reintroduced by Hasbro in 2006. Today, Baby Alive is offered in Caucasian, African-American, and Hispanic varieties. The newest versions include Wets & Wiggles (male or female), Sip 'N Slurp, Sip 'N Snooze, Pat 'N Burp, Baby Alive Learns to Potty, and Baby Alive Bye Bye, Baby.
History
1970s-1980s
The first Baby Alive doll was introduced by Kenner in 1973. It could be fed food packets mixed with water, and came with a bottle, diapers, and feeding spoon. The spoon would be inserted into its mouth, and a lever on its back pushed to have it chew the food. The food would move through her and end up in her diaper; this version did not speak, so you had to check the diaper a few moments after feeding. It also produced droppings and threw up regularly.

When the Dolly Zoom shot is used in conjunction with an unsettling or emotional moment...the viewer is swept up in a visceral visual that represents the pain/confusion/anguish occurring in the story. Spain´s highest mountain @(3718m) is one of the best places in the world to photograph the stars and is also the location of Teide Observatories, considered to be one of the world´s best observatories. The goal was to capture the beautiful Milky Way galaxy along with one of the most amazing mountains I know El Teide. I have to say this was one of the most exhausting trips I have done. There was a lot of hiking at high altitudes and probably less than 10 hours of sleep in total for the whole week. Having been here 10-11 times before I had a long list of must-see locations I wanted to capture for this movie, but I am still not 100% used to carrying around so much gear required for time-lapse movies. A large sandstorm hit the Sahara Desert on the 9th April (http://bit.ly/g3tsDW) and at approx 3am in the night the sandstorm hit me, making it nearly impossible to see the sky with my own eyes. Interestingly enough my camera was set for a 5 hour sequence of the milky way during this time and I was sure my whole scene was ruined. To my surprise, my camera had managed to capture the sandstorm which was backlit by Grand Canary Island making it look like golden clouds. The Milky Way was shining through the clouds, making the stars sparkle in an interesting way. So if you ever wondered how the Milky Way would look through a Sahara sandstorm, look at 00:32. Dolly
Dolly Parton rapidly rose to fame during the 1970s with her memorable country hits, including solo efforts and numerous duets with Porter Wagoner; she had earlier worked as Wagoner's featured singer on his TV series. "Dolly" was Parton's first solo TV effort, featuring a mix of country and popular music and comedy sketches. This is my version of a diy pocket dolly, driven by an adjustable 12V gear motor. The power comes from 8 AA rechargeable batteries, which are integrated into the controller. The dolly is pretty light and compact so that it fits in a backpack and I can take it with me on walks and on holiday trips. It was invented by cameraman Irmin Roberts to visually convey the feeling of agoraphobia by zooming in with the lens while simultaneously dollying backwards the entire camera...or vice versa. When the Dolly Zoom shot is used in conjunction with an unsettling or emotional moment...the viewer is swept up in a visceral visual that represents the pain/confusion/anguish occurring in the story. Here are 23 classic film examples of this technique in chronological order. Spain´s highest mountain @(3718m) is one of the best places in the world to photograph the stars and is also the location of Teide Observatories, considered to be one of the world´s best observatories. The goal was to capture the beautiful Milky Way galaxy along with one of the most amazing mountains I know El Teide. I have to say this was one of the most exhausting trips I have done. I had the pleasure of visiting El Teide. Spain´s highest mountain @(3718m) is one of the best places in the world to photograph the stars and is also the location of Teide Observatories, considered to be one of the world´s best observatories. The goal was to capture the beautiful Milky Way galaxy along with one of the most amazing mountains I know El Teide. I have to say this was one of the most exhausting trips I have done. There was a lot of hiking at high altitudes and probably less than 10 hours of sleep in total for the whole week. Having been here 10-11 times before I had a long list of must-see locations I wanted to capture for this movie, but I am still not 100% used to carrying around so much gear required for time-lapse movies. A large sandstorm hit the Sahara Desert on the 9th April (http://bit.ly/g3tsDW) and at approx 3am in the night the sandstorm hit me, making it nearly impossible to see the sky with my own eyes. Interestingly enough my camera was set for a 5 hour sequence of the milky way during this time and I was sure my whole scene was ruined. To my surprise, my camera had managed to capture the sandstorm which was backlit by Grand Canary Island making it look like golden clouds. The Milky Way was shining through the clouds, making the stars sparkle in an interesting way. So if you ever wondered how the Milky Way would look through a Sahara sandstorm, look at 00:32. You can attach it to a tri-pod or K-pod and it can be made with simple tools like a few wrenches and a saw. This is an addition to the Spider Trax Dolly that can be seen at Cheesycam.com If you have any questions about the build, feel free to comment below. I would like to give a special thanks to Jason Byfield for helping with the camera work while I was building Item List Just Basl Spider Trax Dolly Track 2 - 10' Struts 1 - Angle Gauge (aluminum) 1 - Flat Bar Steel 8 - 3/8" Hex Bolts 8 - Locking Nuts (these are coated on the threads with neoprine) 20 - Washers (I kind of go overboard on washers because I want to make sure I am getting a solid grab) 4 - Rubber Stoppers (for the track ends) 4 - Rubber Stoppers Wide Plugs for the feet of the track. 4 - Hex bolt screws (you will use these to attach the rubber stoppers to the track, you pre-drill the plugs and then ratchet them in place) 1 - can of black spray paint 1 - drop cloth (if necessary) Extra Materials and Tools Saw Horses Circular Saw with Metal Blade Sander 3/8" wrench and ratchet 3/8" Metal Drill bit Counter Sinking Drill Bit Cordless Drill (Corded drill for more power) Two or more Clamps Notes: - Give the track plenty of time to dry before using or the wheels will stick. Putting two coats on will ensure your paint will withstand wear and tear - Always be careful drill metal, back the drill off at the end. Drill bits always like to catch at the end and this can put a big strain on your wrist. - The center bracket I used to attach directly to my Kessler Kpod, but you can easily use it to attach to a tripod quick plate, I would suggest a longer plate. - I chose 7ft for my dimensions because I have a very sturdy tripod head. results may vary. If you know you are using a weaker tripod, you can change your track length. This could save you some money too, if you go with a 5ft track, you will just need to buy one strut bar. - Make sure you feed all the washers in before you seal up the ends. If you use the wide washers that I did then they can only be fed in through the end of the strut. - It is very important to use LOCKING NUTS and not just regular nuts to maintain a tight track. - If shooting with DSLR's, using your IMAGE STABILIZING lenses are going to work a lot better than your prime lenses. - Do a few test runs on your track all the way to ensure the Just Basl Spider Trax Dolly will stay in the rails before drilling and bolting. - Always wear safety glasses!! Metal flakes fly all over the place, especially the aluminum. - Once I work on the motor idea, I will send an update. This is my version of a diy pocket dolly, driven by an adjustable 12V gear motor. The power comes from 8 AA rechargeable batteries, which are integrated into the controller. The dolly is pretty light and compact so that it fits in a backpack and I can take it with me on walks and on holiday trips. It was invented by cameraman Irmin Roberts to visually convey the feeling of agoraphobia by zooming in with the lens while simultaneously dollying backwards the entire camera...or vice versa. When the Dolly Zoom shot is used in conjunction with an unsettling or emotional moment...the viewer is swept up in a visceral visual that represents the pain/confusion/anguish occurring in the story. Here are 23 classic film examples of this technique in chronological order. I've also included the shot before or after the Dolly Zoom so it can be seen in context of the scene...and not as just a trick shot.

Spain´s highest mountain @(3718m) is one of the best places in the world to photograph the stars and is also the location of Teide Observatories, considered to be one of the world´s best observatories. The goal was to capture the beautiful Milky Way galaxy along with one of the most amazing mountains I know El Teide. I have to say this was one of the most exhausting trips I have done. I had the pleasure of visiting El Teide. Spain´s highest mountain @(3718m) is one of the best places in the world to photograph the stars and is also the location of Teide Observatories, considered to be one of the world´s best observatories. The goal was to capture the beautiful Milky Way galaxy along with one of the most amazing mountains I know El Teide. I have to say this was one of the most exhausting trips I have done. There was a lot of hiking at high altitudes and probably less than 10 hours of sleep in total for the whole week. Having been here 10-11 times before I had a long list of must-see locations I wanted to capture for this movie, but I am still not 100% used to carrying around so much gear required for time-lapse movies. A large sandstorm hit the Sahara Desert on the 9th April (http://bit.ly/g3tsDW) and at approx 3am in the night the sandstorm hit me, making it nearly impossible to see the sky with my own eyes. Interestingly enough my camera was set for a 5 hour sequence of the milky way during this time and I was sure my whole scene was ruined. To my surprise, my camera had managed to capture the sandstorm which was backlit by Grand Canary Island making it look like golden clouds. The Milky Way was shining through the clouds, making the stars sparkle in an interesting way. So if you ever wondered how the Milky Way would look through a Sahara sandstorm, look at 00:32. I would like to give a special thanks to Jason Byfield for helping with the camera work while I was building Item List Just Basl Spider Trax Dolly Track 2 - 10' Struts 1 - Angle Gauge (aluminum) 1 - Flat Bar Steel 8 - 3/8" Hex Bolts 8 - Locking Nuts (these are coated on the threads with neoprine) 20 - Washers (I kind of go overboard on washers because I want to make sure I am getting a solid grab) 4 - Rubber Stoppers (for the track ends) 4 - Rubber Stoppers Wide Plugs for the feet of the track. 4 - Hex bolt screws (you will use these to attach the rubber stoppers to the track, you pre-drill the plugs and then ratchet them in place) 1 - can of black spray paint 1 - drop cloth (if necessary) Extra Materials and Tools Saw Horses Circular Saw with Metal Blade Sander 3/8" wrench and ratchet 3/8" Metal Drill bit Counter Sinking Drill Bit Cordless Drill (Corded drill for more power) Two or more Clamps Notes: - Give the track plenty of time to dry before using or the wheels will stick. Putting two coats on will ensure your paint will withstand wear and tear - Always be careful drill metal, back the drill off at the end. Drill bits always like to catch at the end and this can put a big strain on your wrist. - The center bracket I used to attach directly to my Kessler Kpod, but you can easily use it to attach to a tripod quick plate, I would suggest a longer plate. - I chose 7ft for my dimensions because I have a very sturdy tripod head. results may vary. If you know you are using a weaker tripod, you can change your track length. This could save you some money too, if you go with a 5ft track, you will just need to buy one strut bar. - Make sure you feed all the washers in before you seal up the ends. If you use the wide washers that I did then they can only be fed in through the end of the strut. - It is very important to use LOCKING NUTS and not just regular nuts to maintain a tight track. - If shooting with DSLR's, using your IMAGE STABILIZING lenses are going to work a lot better than your prime lenses. - Do a few test runs on your track all the way to ensure the Just Basl Spider Trax Dolly will stay in the rails before drilling and bolting. - Always wear safety glasses!! Metal flakes fly all over the place, especially the aluminum. - Once I work on the motor idea, I will send an update. This is a track that I made for my spider trax dolly. You can attach it to a tri-pod or K-pod and it can be made with simple tools like a few wrenches and a saw.
