Travel video about destination Malaysia. Malaysia is an exotic world located in the Far East, full of tradition and history. We begin our journey in Malacca, the oldest city on the southwest coast of the Peninsular Malaysia that boasts six hundred years of history. Both Portuguese and Jesuit settlers lived here for a hundred and thirty years and introduced their culture to the region. The city’s history dates back to 1403 when Hindu prince, Paramesware of the Sri Vijaya Realm in Sumatra, established a sultanate. The Chinese-dominated area of the city extends across the opposite banks of the river where the mainly two storey residential and business premises are densely packed together. In contrast, the Cheng Hoon Temple is one of the oldest temples in Malaysia and nearby is the Kampung Klin...

I am almost hesitant to tell you about it, as I don't want tourism to spoil what we have experienced. At the same time I wish you could all see this place. I know I have more of the world to see, but Langkawi Malaysia ranks very high for us. Come with us as we show you our guide to Langkawi, so you can see what it has to offer with kids. We experienced rainforests, mangroves, wildlife, beaches, and even learned about their culture and legends. It was absolutely majestic watching eagles soar above us. That would be a rare sighting in the USA and they were plentiful while in Langkawi. We would like to thank Naturally Langkawi for providing us this week-long experienc...

A Malaysian task force has frozen six bank accounts following allegations that Prime Minister Najib Razak received nearly $700 million in public funds. However it did not reveal the identities of the account holders. Meanwhile, Malaysia's former leader, Mahathir Mohamed, has called on prime minister Najib to show public proof that his assets are legal. We asked the Prime Minister's office to respond to Mr Mahathir's comments on these allegations but they declined. However, Prime Minister Najib has previously issued a statement on Facebook saying that the various allegations made against him are "unsubstantiated" and "outrageous." Th...

A short film, dedicated to those who stay true to what they love and hold dear in life. FILM SYNOPSIS: Fianne loves photography. It is a passion inspired by her grandfather, who always taught her to never stray away from the passion she holds dear, rather than to sell her soul for fortune and fame. Fianne keeps in touch with her grandfather by phone every night. One day, Fianne accidentally bumps into Richie Tan, an owner of a large news agency, who is having problem with his current photographer. Richie quickly notices her undiscovered talent, and international standard photographs. He arrogantly offers to buy Fianne's photography work for top dollars. Richie claims this is the best chance Fianne has with him, to "make it big", in this already saturated photography industry. Fianne dec...

Exploring Malaysia's economic boom and how it used a unique financial model to expand abroad, reaping rewards and cementing itself as a world class innovator in Islamic finance.
Standard Chartered Bank's Asean economist Edward Lee forecasts 3.8% growth for Malaysia's economy.
With low commodity prices, an exodus of foreign funds, a slumping currency and financial scandals, it's been a rough year for Malaysia but things are turning around. The World Economic Forum now ranks Malaysia among the 20 most competitive countries in the world, beating out Australia(21th), Ireland(24th) and South Korea(26th). The country scored particularly highly in how it facilitates trade and manages its financial markets. Over the past five years, the government has been working to trim red tape, identify key growth areas and boost private investment under what it calls its Economic Transformation Programme. CCTV's Rian Maelzer reports from Kuala Lumpur.
The prime minister says the Malaysian economy can achieve its target of 2 trillion ringgit in the period of 7 to 8 years. This will place the nation among the top 20 economies in the world.
Malaysia's once robust economy is feeling the effects of Asia's economic downturn. Ratings Agency Fitch has revised Malaysia's outlook from stable to negative, and the central bank has downsized its growth forecast for this year. Al Jazeera's Stephanie Scawen has the story.

Changing the Chow Kit - Cabin In The Wood By Amir Izzat Adnan & Mohd. It is also lack of green forest spaces which leads to the earth global warming issue. The community around the Chow Kit do a lot of retail activities and business trades among themselves but not in a proper way which they use to be clustered during day and night. For the example is the night market. We are designing an improving public center for urban area which enhances the ecological, society and economy sectors of the city by injecting the forest concept into the design. 2nd Runner Up Anugerah Hijau 2012 (Architecture) EcoKnights, PAM (Pertubuhan Arkitek Malaysia) Honorable Menti...
Video Production for Greenpeace UK I really am delighted to support the Save the Arctic campaign. We superimposed the image on a polka-dotted T-shirt and also used the design in the invitation for the show. For me the Climate Revolution is about naming something that is already happening. Man-made climate change is accepted as a fact by most people and through every walk of life people are changing their behaviour. That is why it is so important to me to use fashion as a way to send a message; we have to put the planet first. In the long term what is good for th...

There are few countries that I've visited that offer up such a diverse range of cuisine that can be found in Malaysia. Many of the dishes are fusion types of concoctions blending South Asian and Chinese influences with local Southeast Asian ingredients and spices. Whether you're in the mood for a spicy Laksa, delicious dim sum or tantalizing Tandoori chicken, you'll find it all here in Malaysia. In this travel video travel guide to Malaysia, I travel to Malaysia's capital city, Kuala Lumpur, and to Terangganu, the country's second-largest city. I start off my trip by exploring Kenyir Lake, located just west of Terangganu, which is actually the largest man-made lake in Southeast Asia (it's the size of Singapore). I head to the far end of the lake by speedboat to go trekking into the hilly jungle where I come across a school of hungry fish waiting for eager tourists like myself to provide them with a cheap snack. I then head back on the lake to explore the many islands that call this lake home. Next, I head back onto the water -- this time onto the ocean -- to do a little squid jigging as part of the first annual Terengganu International Squid Jigging Fest. Squid jigging, for thos...

Few cities around the world offer up a melting pot of cuisines (including Malay, Chinese and Indian) while featuring some of the world's cheapest 5-star accommodations. License Video: http://dissolve.com/products?media_type=video&producer;=Pete+R&sort;_by_date=true Updated: Made the video a little more concise and the music a little bit more interesting and not repetitive. Take a deep breath and go on a journey around South East Asia through leech-infested jungles, abandoned temples, and colorful coral reefs. It was a 2 months trip that gone by so fast, like taking one deep breath. This is no ordinary "inspiring" travel video. For this, I decided to go with a much more fun and action-packed style instead of the usual go-to "inspirational" travel style that I like to do.. and a delicious "disco" music. Everything is better with disco music. :) I also experimented on many ways of shooting and framing and I think most of the footages came out really well. ...

I then head back on the lake to explore the many islands that call this lake home. WHY A TOUR IN ASIA? Attracted both by the beauty of Asia, we left our jobs to realise our dream: launch an online travel guide, while traveling six months through Asia. We already much traveled the world but we chose finally this continent because we always have lived strong and memorable experiences there. And it is there, you really feel the joy, the pride of all the emotions experienced. It's crazy,...

Six weeks in Borneo, Malaysia. One Nikon D600, Sigma 35mm lens, GoPro, a five year old Macbook with stuttery playback, one poorly designed Lonely Planet Guide, an ipod, smartphone, a lost debit card in the first day, no sense of a plan apart from a late minute booking to dive Sipadan on the 5th of March and a decade old itunes library. Hope you enjoy my travel diary. Music Iron and Wine // Upward over the Mountain
