New World Sound joins forces with up and coming Thomas Newson for a massive collaboration on brand new single 'Flute', to go out on DOORN on 11th November.
A 50 second preview was released last week hyping the video as a tantalising teaser for the track, which already racked up over 180,000 views on Youtube and hit #1 in the ADE Buzz Chart. The ID left everybody under the impression it was a new collab from W&W; and Blasterjaxx. Originally keeping the artists a secret Spinnin' reveals now the genius behind the track as New World Sound and Thomas Newson.
Built around the haunting pan flute that leads into a thumping bassline, the track combines an intense riff at the core of the track layered with the classical flute to create a peak time dance floor filler.
New World Sound aka 21 and 19 year old brothers Tyrone and Jesse Taylor are two DJ/ Producers currently dominating their homeland around the Gold Coast of Australia, and the world. Their first release 'Peak' earned them huge support from artists such as Tiesto, Ferry Corsten and Judge Jules as well as a score of other hugely influential artists.
New World Sound emerged from the studio again in October 2012 with 'Bantam', a dubstep infused club banger, and received praise from the Grammy Award winning David Guetta, placing it on his monthly top 10 Beatport chart and playing it twice on his F**k Me I'm Famous podcast. The release of 'Aye' in June 2013 marked the duo's signing to Avicii's label LE7ELS and earned New World Sound their first ever BBC Radio 1 play during Pete Tong's weekly essential collection show. They host a weekly radio show on Australia's premiere Dance Music Station, Radio Metro.
Thomas Newson is only 19 year old, yet he looks set to be one of the next up and coming producers. With support from Hardwell dropping his track 'Pallaroid' during his explosive set at Tomorrowland this year, this relative newcomer is one to look out for.

Flute
The flute is a family of a musical instrument in the woodwind group. Unlike woodwind instruments with reeds, a flute is an aerophone or reedless wind instrument that produces its sound from the flow of air across an opening. According to the instrument classification of Hornbostel–Sachs, flutes are categorized as edge-blown aerophones.
A musician who plays the flute can be referred to as a flute player, flautist, flutist or, less commonly, fluter or flutenist.
Flutes are the earliest extant musical instruments. A number of flutes dating to about 43,000 to 35,000 years ago have been found in the Swabian Alb region of Germany. These flutes demonstrate that a developed musical tradition existed from the earliest period of modern human presence in Europe. Flutes, including the famous Bansuri, have been an integral part of Indian classical music since 1500 BC. A major deity of Hinduism, Krishna, has been associated with the flute.
Etymology
The word flute first entered the English language during the Middle English period, as floute, or else flowte, flo(y)te, possibly from Old French flaute and from Old Provençal flaüt, or else from Old French fleüte, flaüte, flahute via Middle High German floite or Dutch fluit. The English verb flout has the same linguistic root, and the modern Dutch verb fluiten still shares the two meanings. Attempts to trace the word back to the Latin flare (to blow, inflate) have been pronounced "phonologically impossible" or "inadmissable". The first known use of the word flute was in the 14th century. According to the Oxford English Dictionary, this was in Geoffrey Chaucer's The Hous of Fame, c.1380.

New World
The New World is one of the names used for the Western Hemisphere, specifically the Americas (including nearby islands such as those of the Caribbean and Bermuda).
The term originated in the early 16th century after Europeans made landfall in what would later be called the Americas in the age of discovery, expanding the geographical horizon of classical geographers, who had thought of the world as consisting of Africa, Europe, and Asia, collectively now referred to as the Old World (aka Afro-Eurasia).
The term was first coined by Florentine explorer Amerigo Vespucci. The Americas were also referred to as the "fourth part of the world".
Usage
The terms "Old World" vs. "New World" are meaningful in historical context and for the purpose of distinguishing the world's major ecozones, and to classify plant and animal species that originated therein.
One can speak of the "New World" in a historical context, e.g., when discussing the voyages of Christopher Columbus, the Spanish conquest of Yucatán and other events of the colonial period. For lack of alternatives, the term is also still useful to those discussing issues which concern the Americas and the nearby oceanic islands, such as Bermuda and Clipperton Island, collectively. This usage is seen as problematic by many for its narrowness of perspective and implication that discovery by European explorers was the beginning of history for the Americas.

New World Sound is an Australian electronic DJ and record production duo, composed of Tyrone James and Jesse Taylor. In 2013, they released the single, "Flute", with Thomas Newson.

On 5 November 2012 New World Sound released their debut single "Bantam". On 31 May 2013 they released the single "Cube" with Ryan Kristo. On 27 September 2013 they released the single "Aye". In November 2013 they released the single "Flute" with Thomas Newson. The song charted in Belgium, France, Netherlands and Switzerland. On 28 February 2014 they released the single "Shakedown" with Uberjak'D. On 25 April 2014 they released the single "Colors" with Osen featuring vocals from Juanita Timpanaro. On 16 May 2014 they released the single "The Buzz" with Timmy Trumpet. On 17 June 2014 they released the single "Pineapple" / "Spoon". On 15 August 2014 they released the single "How to Twerk". On 21 December 2014 New World Sound and Thomas Newson released a second version of "Flute" in the UK with vocals from Lethal Bizzle titled "Flutes".

Music is an art form and cultural activity whose medium is sound and silence. The common elements of music are pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articulation), dynamics (loudness and softness), and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture (which are sometimes termed the "color" of a musical sound). Winner of the YouTube Play Guggenheim Biennial Festival. Soundtrack available here: http://tinyurl.com/7xj6net Reading a newspaper, I saw a picture of birds on the electric wires. I cut out the photo and decided to make a song, using the exact location of the birds as notes (no Photoshop edit). I knew it wasn't the most original idea in the universe. I was just curious to hear what melody the birds were creating. I sent the music to the photographer, Paulo Pinto, who I Googled on the internet. He told his editor, who told a reporter and the story ended up as an interview in the very same newspaper. Here I've posted a short video made with the photo, the music and the score (composed by the birds). A 50 second preview was released last week hyping the video as a tantalising teaser for the track, which already racked up over 180,000 views on Youtube and hit #1 in the ADE Buzz Chart. The ID left everybody under the impression it was a new collab from W&W; and Blasterjaxx. Originally keeping the artists a secret Spinnin' reveals now the genius behind the track as New World Sound and Thomas Newson.
Built around the haunting pan flute that leads into a thumping bassline, the track combines an intense riff at the core of the track layered with the classical flute to create a peak time dance floor filler.

New World Sound joins forces with up and coming Thomas Newson for a massive collaboration on brand new single 'Flute', to go out on DOORN on 11th November.
A 50 second preview was released last week hyping the video as a tantalising teaser for the track, which already racked up over 180,000 views on Youtube and hit #1 in the ADE Buzz Chart. The ID left everybody under the impression it was a new collab from W&W; and Blasterjaxx. Originally keeping the artists a secret Spinnin' reveals now the genius behind the track as New World Sound and Thomas Newson.
Built around the haunting pan flute that leads into a thumping bassline, the track combines an intense riff at the core of the track layered with the classical flute to create a peak time dance floor filler.

Reading a newspaper, I saw a picture of birds on the electric wires. I cut out the photo and decided to make a song, using the exact location of the birds as notes (no Photoshop edit). I knew it wasn't the most original idea in the universe. I was just curious to hear what melody the birds were creating.
I sent the music to the photographer, Paulo Pinto, who I Googled on the internet. He told his editor, who told a reporter and the story ended up as an interview in the very same newspaper.
Here I've posted a short video made with the photo, the music and the score (composed by the birds).
