what is destiny? it’s looking at current situations and trends, making a conclusion about the direction they are leading, then proclaiming them as holy, ordained manifestations of divine will. like proclaiming, early in the forth quarter of a football game, that the team leading 82-27 is “destined” to win.
to most people, though, Destiny means something much more grand – a divinely-sanctioned, inescapable fate, determined…oh…who knows?…aeons before the human race even existed, to the more fatalistic of those religiously inclined.
just like the afore-mentioned football game, the commentators upon 1800s american society could see the writing on the wall. at least for the indigenous people of the lands the american state coveted. the US would sweep westward, from sea-to-sea. and who would stop them from ethnically cleansing the lands between? no one. it was there for the taking, for anyone blood-thirsty enough to go and kill for it. it was as if guns were sent down from on high by jesus himself, for the benefit of the invaders.
the racist ratbastards who led the westward expansion, by venturing forth and killing the indigenous peoples, are national heroes, the patron saints of myth america: custer, fremont, jackson, “mad dog” anthony wayne, etc.
instead, roving gangs of armed men would go on murder and raping sprees beyond the “civilized” frontier. and land speculators, bankers, arms manufacturers, industrialists urged them forward, ever westward. these “uncivilizeded” people were in the way, living on lands that the christian god-shitbag had provided for his holy people. were these awful pagans even people? why treat them as such? and, you know – boys will be boys!
if god above had not sanctioned this, then why was it so easy? and if god-shitbag itself DID NOT sanction all this bloody carnage, that would mean this nation is full of raping, murdering, plundering bandits; psychopaths descended from men who sexually mutilated little girls and kept the parts as trophies. it HAS to be all part of god-above’s plan, right?
to ensure this message of divine blessing, the ancient methods of social and mind control were focused on this man-infested “Destiny” for the americas, once they had the confidence that the american experiment would last a while.
it was preached in sermons. it was proclaimed in newspapers. it was constantly mentioned in political speeches, and it inspired art.
yet the artwork constantly – ALWAYS – depicts things not in keeping with this image. why? why is the iconic imagery that represents Myth America all about ancient roman gods and goddesses, and their sumerian fore-runners? isn’t this supposed to be a christian nation, ordained by the god-shitbag of the “bible” (means “book”)? isn’t THAT the god who led them to this New World, barren and empty, for them to build a great nation for his believers?
