Accredited Medical Laboratory.

The Fertility Control Clinic has an Accredited Medical Laboratory on site, namely Jolimont Laboratory.

The laboratory's tests are accredited against ISO 15189 Medical Laboratories and NPAAC.

Requirements by the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA).

The laboratory has an Accredited Collection Centre on site which means patients have access to same day collection and testing.

The types of laboratory tests requested by the Fertility Control Clinic doctors include:

• Urine and serum (blood) pregnancy testing
• Cervical and urethral swabs for Sexually Transmitted Diseases STIs e.g. Chlamydia trachomatis and Neisseria gonorrhoeae
• Midstream urine analysis for Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) e.g. Escherichia coli
• Blood grouping and antibody screening
• Haemoglobin level (for anaemia)
• Histology - to diagnose biopsies
