The Sydney Morning Herald Spectrum Now Festival presented by ANZ

The Sydney Morning Herald Spectrum Now Festival is once again taking over Sydney with art, music, stage and talks with a vibrant program of exhibitions, gigs and performances across multiple venues from March 1-16, 2016. The festival’s reach is bold and impressive: from opera in the pub to classical music at the Opera House, from intimate gigs to rock odysseys, from beaches to the Domain, from solo exhibitions to mass displays. SPECTRUM NOW FESTIVAL @ THE DOMAIN

The Domain, the heart of the festival, will be transformed into a vintage circus fairground from 3 – 13 March, hosting a ticketed Big Top full of local and international music and comedy acts, lots of free entertainment, a KidZone and a delicious selection of food and drinks served up by some of Sydney’s hottest restaurants and bars.

The Domain opens at 5pm weekdays and 12pm on weekends. Entry into The Domain is free. Tickets to music performances can be purchased here.

MEET THE TEAM

The guiding light and vision for the festival is the Herald’s own popular Spectrum section. Indeed, it’s like a newspaper section come to life. Our editors and journalists are the people that go to the premieres, the big gigs, and the cutting-edge galleries. They know what audiences want to see, hear, eat and experience … and they’ve worked with organisers to bring audiences only the best in culture and entertainment for the Spectrum Now Festival. Find out more about the team here.

Tickets are now on sale, and more exciting announcements are on their way so be sure to sign up to our e-news to be first in the know.

THE INAUGURAL FESTIVAL

Spectrum Now Festival burst onto the Sydney festival calendar in 2015 in a blaze of creative partnerships, with Richard Roxburgh at the helm as director. More than 100,000 people took part in events all over Sydney, from film premieres with the stars and crowds rocking out at the Domain, to behind-the-scenes tours and hula hooping workshops. It was a terrific start to what is already on its way to become a stand-out, highly-anticipated annual fixture on the city’s arts and culture scene.

Experience Now. Remember Forever.
