Police have charged an 18-year-old as part of their investigation into the death of another teenager in Aveley on Thursday.

Corey De Bie's body was found in a park on Thursday morning. His friends told police he left them in the early hours of the morning after taking what he thought was the synthetic drug called N-bomb.

On Saturday police announced they had charged a man who they say had supplied a synthetic drug to the 19-year old.

Midland detectives say they found cannabis, smoking implements and a quantity of cash at the man's address.

He has been charged with supplying a prohibited drug and possessing cannabis with intent to sell or supply.

The police statement says, "The cause of the 19-year-old's man death is yet to be determined. At this point his death is not being treated as suspicious."
