Floods, storm damage and bone cracking cold are one side of Perth's miserable run of wet weather.
But on the flipside, it does create some rare opportunities for daredevil fun.
Take Cody Flynn and his mates down in Rockingham for example - who rigged up a winch to a generator, parked it beside a huge puddle at their local park in Kwinana and carved the place up on their wakeboards.
Cody put the call out on Facebook on Friday, saying "anyone for an urban wakeboard photo shoot with the winch this arvo? Don't have any location in mind just do the rounds."
A few hours later, the action was on - and plenty of people headed down to the flooded park to have a go.
"Not every day you get to ride your local park," Corey said, as he and his mates got towed along at high speed, zigging and zagging and even performing jumps.
"You have just gone off the Richter scale of awesomeness in their eyes!!" one person wrote, reacting to the footage they captured of their own private water skiing run.
"Always have to live by my life motto and find the positives in life," Corey said.
"Bad weather = a different kind of good fun and entertainment."
