Florida school children 'were murdered by their teachers'

These sinister pictures offer a glimpse inside a derelict boys' school with a gruesome past, where pupils were said to have been murdered by staff. The creepy images were taken at Arthur G. Dozier School for Boys in Marianna, Florida, where decades of abuse and violence took place against boys who studied there. The eerie photographs show the site where 55 of the dead were buried, and abandoned classrooms, laden with towering piles of plastic school chairs. In one room, rusting metal bunk-beds are flooded with daylight from a hole in the wall, which appears to once have been a fire exit. The empty beds are now inter-twined with vines from the surrounding grounds. Other images show decrepit bathrooms, where the wooden roof has rotted away and rubble now scatters the floor.

A man accused of brutally raping a young woman in a South Brisbane laneway more than five years ago has been granted bail. The 24-year-old was arrested in December last year over the alleged attack.

'Vertical forest' towers are coming to China

The towers (pictured) will be built in Nanjing with enough greenery to absorb 25 tons of CO2 each year and produce about 60kg of oxygen. They are due to be complete in 2018. Six hundred tall trees, 500 medium-sized trees and 2,500 cascading plants and shrubs will cover a 65,000-square-feet area on the buildings, called Nanjing Green Towers.

It's like, as Bruce blossoms, so does my tattoo,' he said. Fellow fanatic Brian Burke also travelled to Australia to see Springsteen in concert for the 63rd time. The two men bought tickets to all 14 shows in both Australia and New Zealand during January and February 2017.
