The British actress encased her toned pins in a pair of loose fitting trousers, elongating them a pair of stylish lace-up ankle boots.

Teaming it with a high neck crisp white blouse and a long black batwing coat, her ensemble was complete.

Letting her striking features shine through under just a hint of make-up, the blonde beauty  wore her hair in a sleek side parting as she arrived for her interview.

Rosamund appeared on the breakfast show alongside David Oyelowo to speak about her latest flick flick A United Kingdom which was released in November.

The film movingly re-creates the then-scandalous marriage between Prince Seretse Khama of Botswana and British typist grandmother Ruth Williams.

The couple caused an international stir when they married in the late 1940s.

In the inspirational film, Rosamund takes on the role of middle-class Ruth who falls for Seretse, an Oxford graduate and African king-in-waiting - played by David Oyelowo - after being introduced to him at a missionary society dance.

Their whirlwind romance and wedding wreaked havoc not only among their families, but at the highest political levels in Britain and southern Africa, where Seretse’s own Bechuanaland, now Botswana, was a longtime protectorate under British imperial rule.

Speaking of the movie on the Chris Evans Breakfast Show in November, Rosamund revealed: 'You see racism on both sides.

'It's this experience of a white woman craving to belong in the black world and being greeted with suspicion and hostility. They don't want a white woman to be the mother of their tribe.

'How is she going to understand the concerns of the women? How is she going to understand the concerns of the country? But she stuck it out.'

And speaking of Ruth's defiant will, the actress gushed: 'Sometimes you get these characters where you're like "God, if I had half of this woman's guts bravery and courage, I'd be such a better person"!

'It's a wonderful love story.'
