The singer was then lowered into the stadium and down onto the field to perform a number of her classic hits including 'Poker Face' and 'Born This Way. Twitter lit up as she performed that second song in front of Vice President Mike Pence, which includes the line: 'No matter gay, straight or bi / Lesbian, transgendered life / I'm on the right track baby / I was born to survive.' Following Gaga's performance, New England Patriot's quarterback Tom Brady, inset left, led his players back onto the field facing a 23-3 deficit. Approaching the final quarter, his team was 28-3 down. But in an amazing comeback, he inspired the team to draw level before breaking the hearts of Atlanta Falcons' fans with an overtime victory.

Vice President Mike Pence took some unexpected guests to the Super Bowl and even stopped to try some local Houston barbecue. He met with two wounded soldiers and their guests at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, to escort them to the football game on Air Force Two. Pence flew Marine Staff Sergeant Anthony Mannino, Jr, and Army Staff Sergeant Frederick Manning. Mannino, who was wounded in Iraq in 2008, brought his wife Diane while Manning, who was injured in Afghanistan in 2016, brought his nurse, Army Sergeant First Class Charles Stanley.

NEW Two men gave Detroit police a fright of their lives as they entered a local station while wearing guns to file a complaint. The men filmed themselves walking into Dearborn Police Station in Michigan. In the video, one of the men, who is wearing a ski mask and glasses (left and right), says: 'We're going to go in and file a complaint because we were illegally pulled over about an hour ago.' They added they were wearing the guns to 'protect themselves' after being 'afraid for their lives'. Several officers can be heard shouting and telling them to put their guns down (centre).

Mississippi antique store owner Roger Logan began putting on weight 12 years ago. While doctors at first told Logan, 57, that it was 'just fat,' when it began swelling they realized it was a growth that needed to be removed. This is the heart-stopping moment a three-year-old girl is saved from peril after falling down a gap on a train platform, minutes before the carriage is due to pull off. CCTV footage recorded at Xining Railway Station in Qinghai, China, shows the youngster strolling towards a train carriage before she slips down and disappears from view. Her mother is then seen struggling to pull her to safety as a number of passengers rush over to help.

NEW Lindsey Paradiso, from Fredericksburg, Virginia, took to Facebook to share her emotional story of having an abortion at 23 weeks. At 18 weeks doctors noticed baby Omara had an aggressive tumor growing around her neck. Lindsey continued on with her pregnancy in hopes it would be operable later. Weeks later, the baby's tumor had doubled in size and began to spread even further into her chest and Omara had a 99 per cent chance of dying. The couple decided to go through with an abortion through lethal injection.

Aaron Cauchi, 19, Robert Molloy, 20, and another youth aged 16, who cannot be named because of his age, appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court this morning where they admitted launching a foul-mouthed racist tirade at Juan Jasso (inset). A former US serviceman now living in the UK, Mr Jasso confronted the trio about their use of foul language on a packed morning commuter tram in Manchester (pictured left and right). He was travelling during rush hour in the city when he confronted them for swearing in front of women and children. Shocking video footage captured from the scene shows the three youths then turn on Mr Jasso and tell him to 'Get back to Africa' among other insults, before eventually being kicked off the bus by other passengers.

A mammoth $450million (£313million) sailing yacht was spotted pulling into Nobiskrug shipyard in Germany yesterday evening to be delivered to her new owner after months of rigorous testing. The 468ft-long vessel, owned by Russian billionaire Andrey Igorevich Melnichenko, was an impressive sight to behold as it sailed into the German Naval Yard in Kiel, north of Hamburg on Friday evening. The impressive superyacht, which was has three 300ft masts standing  taller than Big Ben's tower, was imaginatively named 'Sailing Yacht A' by its owner. Mr Melnichenko hit the headlines back in September when he moored his other £225 million masterpiece, 'Motor Yacht A', on the Thames.

An Oklahoma special needs student has become the latest viral sensation thanks to her success in scoring the final basket during a high school basketball game. The heartwarming moment showing Lainy Frederickson (center inset and left and right) scoring as the packed crowd chanted her name on Friday night during a match-up between Norman High School and Norman North High School was caught on camera. Of the moment, Lainy said: 'I love everybody being there, and I just love it.'

Cesilie Carlton, a 35-year-old American high diver, is seen leaping headfirst from a 55ft high platform aboard the Harmony of the Seas cruise ship as the fast-moving ocean churns past below her. Cesilie, who is also currently a Red Bull cliff diver, has amassed more than 250,000 views on Instagram since the footage was posted last week. The impressive and frankly terrifying video was shot aboard the Harmony of the Seas cruise ship by her colleague, fellow diver Sydney Brown. The cruise ship - the largest passenger liner in the world with a capacity for 5,479 guests - boasts a 2,100-strong crew, of which 20 are performers at the AquaTheater seen in the video.
