An Oklahoma special needs student has become the latest viral sensation thanks to her success in scoring the final basket during a high school basketball game.
The heartwarming moment showing Lainy Frederickson scoring as the packed crowd chanted her name on Friday night during a match-up between Norman High School and Norman North High School was caught on camera.
During the Senior Night game, Lainy had the chance to play for the first time this basketball season for the Lady Tigers.

During the Senior Night game on Friday, Lainy had the chance to play for the first time this basketball season for the Norman High School Lady Tigers who took on Norman North High School
Video from the game shows Lainy stepping on court as she approaches the basket and attempting her first shot that didn't make it in the basket. But on her second try, she scored big
Lainy, who is a Special Olympics veteran, made her second shot and the crowd at the game went wild
Lainy, who is a Special Olympics veteran, then launches the ball into the air in her first attempt to score, but the ball didn't go in.
But that didn't stop her, as she can be seen on video trying again and on her second attempt, Lainy scores big for the Lady Tigers.
'Lainy, Lainy, Lainy,' the crowd is then heard chanting as everyone in the stands stood up to cheer for her.
Her final shot helped the Lady Tigers strengthen their lead against Norman North, as Lainy helped her team win 57-35.
Of her big moment, Lainy told KWTV: 'I love everybody being there, and I just love it.'
Since the video was shared to social media, it's been shared thousands of times, as Lainy isn't surprised by its viral status.

'Because I'm famous,' the Lady Tigers rookie confidentially said.
Her parents, Mona and Jake Frederickson, and her brother Levi Frederickson, said that both students and staff members at Norman High School have always been supportive of Lainy.
'When Coach (Michael) Neal approached us about Lainy being on the team, that in itself was an honor,' Mona said.
The girls love her. She loves basketball, and it's been a wonderful experience.'

Naturally the players were impressed with Lainy's skills on and off the court, as they honored her and her family with court-side seats to watch them play on Saturday at the Chesapeake Arena.
Lainy is preparing to compete in the state Special Olympics in May and said that she wants to be an inspiration to others who may not believe they can reach their goals.
