Tom Brady posted a heartfelt photo to social media on Friday announcing that his family has arrived in Houston for his sixth Super Bowl appearance. His mother, Galynn, has reportedly been sick for the last eighteen months, and it was feared she might not be well enough to attend the game. Brady admitted through tears that she hadn't been present at a single game this season, and his father only made it to one, which was 'atypical'.

While spending the weekend at his resort in Florida, President Donald Trump (left on Sunday and right on Saturday with First Lady Melania Trump) took to Twitter (center inset) Sunday afternoon to express his frustration over a judge's decision to place a temporary stay on his controversial travel ban. 'Just cannot believe a judge would put our country in such peril. If something happens blame him and court system. People pouring in. In a second tweet, he added: 'I have instructed Homeland Security to check people coming into our country VERY CAREFULLY. The courts are making the job very difficult!' Prior to sharing his thoughts about the travel ban on Twitter in the afternoon, he had resisted the urge to tweet on Sunday morning by busying his hands with a round of golf in Palm Beach.

Just minutes after Alec Baldwin returned to NBC studios as President Donald Trump, Melissa McCarthy surprised the audience by coming on stage to play a blustering Sean Spicer. McCarthy used the opportunity to mock some of Spicer's more controversial attributes, namely his use of 'alternative facts' and contentious relationship with the press. In her opening remarks as the Press Secretary, she says: 'Before we begin, I know the press and myself have gotten off to a rocky start. 'When I say rocky I mean in the sense of "Rocky" the movie because I came out here to punch you in the face, and also I don't talk so good.' Later, in an impersonation of Spicer taking questions from the press, he quickly grows frustrated at journalists asking about the role of chief strategist and key adviser Steve Bannon, turning to toys to explain the President's executive order.

Even as my suspicions have been growing about the indoctrination of our young children by so-called liberals, so has the number of stories arriving in my inbox. Worried parents whose little kids come home repeating opinions they have been taught in school, rather than lessons, wondering how they should talk to the school about it without getting their kids into trouble. Children being taught that Trump is a bad man and a racist. That Brexit is wrong. That the correct answer is Clinton. I can accept that many teachers believe Trump to be an odious individual and/or that Trump equals hate. And I have heard the argument that it is right that teachers should teach children to be inclusive and to stand against hate, and by this logic teachers have a duty to speak out against Trump. But this is a sleight of hand. Deductive reasoning that has lost its way.

The Grab Your Wallet campaign was launched on October 11 by Shannon Coulter and Sue Atencio after they 'simultaneously realized they could no longer in good conscience shop at retailers that do business with the Trump family'. Shoes.com, a Canadian online shoe store, became the first retailer to announce it was dropping Trump's shoe line as a result of the campaign in November. A couple in South Carolina is fighting to keep a three-year-old girl they legally adopted at three weeks old after losing a court ruling to her biological father who was just released from prison and wants to raise her. Three-year-old Braelynn (pictured left) has lived with Tammy and Edward Dalsing (pictured right) since she was a newborn in Rock Hill. Despite legally adopting the toddler in 2015, a court recently ruled that she belongs with her biological father after he appealed the adoption order.

Lindsey Paradiso, from Fredericksburg, Virginia, took to Facebook to share her emotional story of having an abortion at 23 weeks. At 18 weeks doctors noticed baby Omara had an aggressive tumor growing around her neck. Lindsey continued on with her pregnancy in hopes it would be operable later. Weeks later, the baby's tumor had doubled in size and began to spread even further into her chest and Omara had a 99 per cent chance of dying. The couple decided to go through with an abortion through lethal injection.

Blanket Jackson made a rare public appearance in Los Angeles on Friday night amid claims his late father Michael was murdered. Blackmore and Emily Ruth Gail Blackmore are guilty of taking their daughter across the border in 2004 to marry the now imprisoned Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS) leader Warren Jeffs. In addition, the charges against 59-year-old Winston Blackmore (left) came after Special Prosecutor Peter Wilson approved three 'unlawful removal of a child from Canada...' charges against the former couple and Oler. Winston Blackmore is married to 27 women with whom he has at least 145 children in the polygamist community of Bountiful, British Columbia. Cesilie Carlton, a 35-year-old American high diver, is seen leaping headfirst from a 55ft high platform aboard the Harmony of the Seas cruise ship as the fast-moving ocean churns past below her. Cesilie, who is also currently a Red Bull cliff diver, has amassed more than 250,000 views on Instagram since the footage was posted last week. The impressive and frankly terrifying video was shot aboard the Harmony of the Seas cruise ship by her colleague, fellow diver Sydney Brown. The cruise ship - the largest passenger liner in the world with a capacity for 5,479 guests - boasts a 2,100-strong crew, of which 20 are performers at the AquaTheater seen in the video.

An Oklahoma special needs student has become the latest viral sensation thanks to her success in scoring the final basket during a high school basketball game. The heartwarming moment showing Lainy Frederickson (center inset and left and right) scoring as the packed crowd chanted her name on Friday night during a match-up between Norman High School and Norman North High School was caught on camera. Of the moment, Lainy said: 'I love everybody being there, and I just love it.'

A video was posted online that shows a musically gifted chicken named Jogku as she pecks piano keys along to the tune of 'America the Beautiful'. The patriotic pecker is named Jogku, and is a 19-month-old Brahma Bantam who lives in Germantown, Maryland. The chicken follows a red light as it appears under different keys, signalling which one to peck next.

Instead, they now have proposed a contest: write a 200-word essay, submit a $149 entry fee, and the house could be yours.
