Donald Trump's press team have elevated Malcolm Turnbull to the position of Aussie President.
The Trump Administration has made another diplomatic gaffe in its dealings with Australia, this time stuffing up Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull's job title.
Just days after White House press secretary Sean Spicer repeatedly referred to Turnbull as "Trunbull", the US Office of the Press Secretary has ballsed up the PM's official title, calling him "President of Australia"
The embarrassing slip up was contained in a statement released by the Press Secretary listing all the ways Donald Trump was delivering for the US since assuming office. The statement included all the world leaders the reality TV star-turned-politician had consulted with so far.

The "President of Australia" was wedged somewhere between the "President of France, Francois Hollande" and "The King Of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abd al-Aziz Al Saud" on the statement.
By Sunday afternoon AEDT the statement had been updated to read, "On January 28th, The President spoke with the Prime Minister of Australia, Malcolm Turnbull".
US-Australia relations have taken a hit this week not only because of team Trump's gaffes, but also following the US President's reportedly hostile phone call with the PM. Trump is said to have hung up on Turnbull just 25 minutes into what should have been a one-hour long call with one of America's oldest and closest allies.
Trump has dismissed negative reports of the phone conversation, labelling them "fake news" on Twitter.
