San Francisco (/sæn frənˈsɪskoʊ/), officially the City and County of San Francisco, is the cultural, commercial, and financial center of Northern California and the only consolidated city-county in California. San Francisco encompasses a land area of about 46.9 square miles (121 km2) on the northern end of the San Francisco Peninsula, which makes it the smallest county in the state. It has a density of about 18,187 people per square mile (7,022 people per km2), making it the most densely settled large city (population greater than 200,000) in the state of California and the second-most densely populated major city in the United States after New York City. San Francisco is the fourth-most populous city in California, after Los Angeles, San Diego and San Jose, and the 13th-most populous city in the United States—with a Census-estimated 2014 population of 852,469. The city and its surrounding areas are known as the San Francisco Bay Area, and are a part of the larger OMB designated San Jose-San Francisco-Oakland combined statistical area, the fifth most populous in the nation with an estimated population of 8.6 million.

It is located on the northeast shore of Tomales Bay, about seven miles (11 km) south-southeast of the village of Tomales, at an elevation of about 70 feet (21 meters) above sea level. Marconi is located in the area of the town of Marshall, California.
The inhabitants of old Native American settlement called "Fisherman's" later shipped seafood from here via railroad. Then, in 1913, the Marconi Wireless Company bought this site to establish a transpacific wireless telegraph station.
A fisherman or fisher is someone who captures fish and other animals from a body of water, or gathers shellfish.
Worldwide, there are about 38 million commercial and subsistence fishermen and fish farmers. The term can also be applied to recreational fishermen and may be used to describe both men and women. Fishing has existed as a means of obtaining food since the Mesolithic period.
Fishing has existed as a means of obtaining food since the Mesolithic period. During the time of the Ancient Egyptians, fishermen provided the majority of food for Egyptians. Fishing had become a major means of survival as well as a business venture.
Fishing and the fisherman have also influenced Ancient Egyptian religion; mullets were worshiped as a sign of the arriving flood season. Bastet was often manifested in the form of a catfish. In ancient Egyptian literature, the method that Amun used to create the world is associated with the tilapia's method of mouth-brooding.
According to the FAO, there were about 39 million fishers in countries producing more than 200,000 tonnes in 2012, which is nearly 140% the number in 1995. The total fishery production of 66 million tonnes equated to an average productivity of 3.5 tonnes per person.
Francisco is the Spanish and Portuguese form of the masculine given name Franciscus (corresponding to English Francis).
In Spanish, people with the name Francisco sometimes are nicknamed "Paco": San Francisco de Asís was known as Pater Comunitatis (The Community father) when he founded the Franciscan order, "Paco" is a short form of "Pater Comunitatis". Also, in Spanish Latin America and in the Philippines, people with the name Francisco are called "Pancho". "Kiko" is also used as a nickname in the Philippines.
In Portuguese, people named Francisco are commonly nicknamed "Chico" (shíco) or "Kiko". This is also a less-common nickname for Francisco in Spanish too.

Property of Fogarty's Cove Music. I didn't notice the dead air at the end of song until some time after I uploaded it. The song is supposed to be approximately four minutes long. There must have been an error when it was either ripped from the CD, made into a video or when I posted it on youtube. I would like to upload it again with the proper version and delete this one but I didn't want to mess up any links people may have to this version.

Recently Wifey & I were in Monterey, California and we decided to visit the Old Fisherman's Wharf for dinner. We made a reservation and ate at the Old Fisherman's Grotto Restaurant. I can highly recommend this restaurant. I gave it 5 stars on Google. The service was as good as we've ever had and the Halibut dinner we had was incredible. While waiting for our reservation, I went on a walking tour of Fisherman's Wharf. The Wharf is a very cool spot to hang out for sightseeing, people watching and there are some fantastic restaurants. In this San Francisco travel video guide, I travel to San Francisco, California, one of the most scenic cities in the United States, if not the world. In town for a conference for only four days, only one of which was going to be sunny, I headed out to see as much as I could in a day. I started my day by visiting the Haight-Ashbury district, San Francisco's most famous neighborhood. Ground zero for the Summer of Love, this neighborhood's bohemian past is still evident as you walk around the area, though things have changed quite a bit. Next I headed to the Mission District, San Francisco's "It" neighborhood right now. Home to a large and varied immigrant population, cheap rents have lured many a young and hip individual to the area, evidenced by the artisanal chocolate shops, used book s...

It was in the spring this year of grace
With new life pushing through
That I looked from the citadel down to the narrows and asked what it's coming to
I saw Upper-Canadian concrete and glass
right down to the water line
I have heard an old song down on Fisherman's Wharf
Can I sing it just one time
With half-closed eyes against the sun
for the warm wind giving thanks
I dreamed of the years of the deep laden schooners splashing home from the Grand Banks
The last lies done in the harbor sun
With her picture on a dime
But I heard an old song down on Fisherman's Wharf
Can I sing it just one time
Can I sing it just one time
CHORUS:
And haul away and heave her home
This song is heard no more
No boats to sing it for
No sailors to sing it for
There rises now a single tide of tourists passing through
We traded old ways for the new
Old ways for the new
Old ways for the new, for the new
Now you ask "What's this romantic boy,
Who laments what's done and gone?"
There was no romance on a cold winter ocean and the gale sang an awful song
But my fathers knew of wind and tide, and my blood is maritime
And I heard an old song down on Fisherman's Wharf
Can I sing it just one time
CHORUS
