MORE than 75,000 visitors have flown high above Arthurs Seat since the Eagle opened in early December.

And it’s becoming a favourite spot for romance, with five marriage proposals already.

CEO Hans Brugman said the new staff had delivered exceptional customer service to guests.

“It has been fantastic after so many years of planning to have the doors open and welcome guests from all around the world,” he said.

“It has been especially rewarding to see people with disabilities being able to access the gondolas and enjoy the ride.”

Mr Brugman said he believed the Eagle was already contributing to the overall appeal of the peninsula as a leading holiday destination.

A boutique market is running every Thursday at the base station from 10am until 3pm this month.

Former Swans player Warwick Capper has already taken a ride, followed the next day by former St Kilda and North Melbourne footballer Nick Dal Santo.
