While the vast majority of corporate Australia was still busy getting the sands of Noosa from between their toes or packing away the skis after yet another year of schussing in Aspen, the earlybirds were back at it – helping the Human Ponytail to make rent for January.

To wit, the little luncheon posse gathered at Global HQ on Monday. Little in number, but not so much in stature. Recently appointed Crown Resorts chairman John Alexander was spied breaking bread and brisket with Crown director and former Qantas boss Geoff Dixon and Neil Perry himself – one of Crown's higher-profile tenants.
