7 October 2016 marks the fifteenth anniversary of the invasion of Afghanistan. Many Western leaders claimed the invasion, dubbed Operation Enduring Freedom, was a humanitarian intervention to liberate Afghans and especially Afghan women and girls from the brutal Taliban regime. Since India embraced what trade unions call the LPG route to growth (that is liberalization, privatization and globalization) in 1991, the country has seen 16 general strikes. And the 17th all India workers’ strike falls on September 2nd. Nunca como ahora tuvo tanta pertinencia aquella desafortunada invención de nuestro vicepresidente. Pues si el supuesto empate tiene sabor a derrota, entonces la figura del “empate técnico” es sólo un amargo consuelo (pretendiendo hacer de la derrota empate, lo técnico resulta una mera alquimia que sueña convertir plomo en oro). Nunca la retórica del empate se hace tan amarga como cuando se pretende disfrazar una derrota que confirma la no correspondencia entre la realidad y su interpretación. En ese sentido, lo técnico encubre una catástrofe: el gigante de bronce se descubre con pies de barro. Marx decía que la historia se repite dos veces, una como tragedia y otra como comedia. Lo que no dijo es que la comedia no es tal para el que la sufre; la tragedia continúa y hasta con más saña (por eso la historia está para aprenderla, no sólo para citarla). ... read full story / add a comment

Συγκέντρωση χρημάτων για την υποστήριξη του «La Plume Noire» και των δραστηριοτήτων του Het verzet van onze kameraden vermeed dat de fascisten er in slaagden werkelijk binnen te dringen, maar ze konden niet vermijden dat er schade werd toegebracht aan het gebouw: alle ruiten warden ingeslagen en de metalen blinden warden deels vernield. Verschillende mensen raakten lichtgewond tijdens de aanval, die slechts minuten duurde, maar het leken uren. De verwondingen werden grotendeels veroorzaakt door de projectielen die de fascisten naar hun doelwit smeten: stenen, metalen voorwerpen en flessen. Bij aankomst en bij vertrek scandeerden de fascisten xenofobe slogans; “on est chez nous”, “La france aux francais” en “morts aux Juifs” (“wij zijn ‘bij ons’, ‘laat Frankrijk aan de fransen’ en ‘dood aan de joden’) om angst te zaaien. La resistenza dei nostri compagni ha impedito che i fascisti entrassero, ma non ha impedito che ci fossero danni materiali: la distruzione di tutti i vetri delle finestre e parte delle persiane di metallo. Diverse persone sono rimaste leggermente ferite in questo attacco che è durato lunghi minuti, soprattutto a causa dei proiettili (pietre, oggetti metallici, bottiglie) scagliati dai fascisti. Quando sono arrivati e quando se ne sono andati, i fascisti hanno cantato "on est chez nous", "la France aux Français" (slogan xenofobi) e "morte agli ebrei", come segnali di adunata e di dispersione. Several people were slightly injured in this attack that lasted long minutes, mainly because of projectiles (stones, metallic tools, bottles) thrown by the fascists. Την Πέμπτη 17/11/2016, μετά την ολοκλήρωση της πορείας, οι μπάτσοι συνέλαβαν δύο διαδηλωτές έξω από το Πολυτεχνείο του ΑΠΘ. Οι δύο σύντροφοι μεταφέρθηκαν στην ΓΑΔΘ. Και οι δύο συλληφθέντες χτυπήθηκαν άγρια τόσο κατά τη σύλληψή τους όσο και στο πάρκινγκ της ΓΑΔΘ. Η στρατηγική μας στηρίζεται στην ενότητα των εν λόγω άμεσων δράσεων, καθώς η κάλπη δεν αποτελεί άμυνα ενάντια στο φασισμό και το μίσος ούτε συνιστά κάτι τέτοιο το Δημοκρατικό Κόμμα. Μαζί κρατάμε τη λύση στο ζήτημα Τραμπ και στα μεγαλύτερα προβλήματα του καπιταλισμού, την πατριαρχία και τη λευκή υπεροχή. Η 17 Νοέμβρη έρχεται για να μας υπενθυμίσει τι; Μήπως το νόημα ή το μήνυμα έχει εκλείψει; Οι λόγοι δεν υπάρχουν; Οι εξεγέρσεις δε γίνονται με στημένα ραντεβού θα πει κάποιος.Ωστόσο ένα κίνημα που λησμονεί την ιστορία του, φαίνεται να είναι ανίκανο να συνδέσει τη παρελθούσα αγωνιστική παρακαταθήκη με τη μελλοντική ελπίδα, την διακαή προσδοκία ότι αυτός ο κόσμος αλλάζει. Η διαδήλωση αυτή μπορεί να έχει χαρακτήρα ενθύμησης και μνήμης, αλλά πάνω από όλα έχει χαρακτήρα επικαιροποίησης. Ο αντικρατισμός ασκεί κριτική στη μορφή, και κυρίως στην έκταση της λειτουργίας του κράτους, αποδεχόμενος την ύπαρξη και παρουσία του. Όπως, επίσης, ο αντικυβερνητισμός απλά ενίσταται στον τρόπο κυβέρνησης/διακυβέρνησης ,χωρίς να υπάρχει ίχνος αντικρατικής σχέσης. Συνεπώς, η Αριστερά (όταν βρίσκεται στην αντιπολίτευση) και όσοι πορεύονται λίγο ή πολύ μαζί της, διεξάγουν από κοινού και μόνο αντικυβερνητική δράση…
