1978 (MCMLXXVIII) was a common year starting on Sunday (dominical letter A) of the Gregorian calendar, the 1978th year of the Common Era (CE) and Anno Domini (AD) designations, the 978th year of the 2nd millennium, the 78th year of the 20th century, and the 9th year of the 1970s decade.
David Lowell Rich (August 31, 1920 – October 21, 2001) was an American film director and producer. He directed nearly 100 films and TV episodes between 1950 and 1987. He was born in New York City.
He began directing on a regular basis in 1950. Rich won an Emmy for outstanding direction of a special in 1978 for The Defection of Simas Kudirka. His brother was director John Rich.
London Weekend Television (LWT) was the ITV network franchise holder for Greater London and the Home Counties at weekends, broadcasting from Fridays at 5.15pm (prior to 1982 at 7pm) to Monday mornings at 6am. From 1968 until 1992, when LWT's weekday neighbour was Thames Television, there was an on-screen handover to and from LWT at each end of the weekend; from 1993 to 2002, when LWT's weekday neighbour was Carlton Television, the transfer occurred invisibly during a commercial break as Carlton and LWT shared studio and transmission space.
Like most ITV franchises, including Carlton's, the London weekend franchise is currently operated by ITV plc. As of 2014, the franchise is still separately licensed, but unlike many other franchises, it is no longer distinguished on air in any way. LWT is now managed with Carlton Television as a single entity (ITV London), and the legal name for LWT is now ITV London (Weekends). London Weekend Television Ltd is, along with most other regional companies owned by ITV plc, listed at Companies House as a "Dormant company".

Catherine "Kate" Bush, CBE (born 30 July 1958) is an English singer-songwriter, musician, composer, dancer and record producer known for her eclectic music and idiosyncratic performances.
Bush first came to note in 1978 when, at the age of 19, she topped the UK Singles Chart for four weeks with her debut single, "Wuthering Heights", becoming the first female artist to achieve a UK number-one with a self-written song. She has since released twenty-five UK Top 40 singles, including the top ten hits "The Man with the Child in His Eyes", "Babooshka", "Running Up That Hill", and "King of the Mountain". She has released ten studio albums, all of which reached the UK Top 10, including the UK number-one albums, Never for Ever (1980) and Hounds of Love (1985). She is the first British solo female artist to top the UK album charts and the first female artist ever to enter the album chart at number-one, as well as the first (and to date, only) female artist to have top five albums in the UK charts in five successive decades.
Property Of.. is the fourth album by Swedish Heavy Metal band Syron Vanes, released in 2007. It was produced by Rimbert Vahlstroem.
The album is the only Syron Vanes album without Anders Hahne who left the band for a long break right after the album Insane in 2003.
Property Of.. was released 2007. The album got some nice reviews, Gary Hill at Music Street Journal wrote: Well, as strong as this disc is, I can sure see why. If you are a fan of old school metal you’ll certainly love this album. It rocks out with the best of them and will probably be near the top of my list of best metal discs of the year.

American Top 40 March 18, 1978 with Casey Kasem. For the first time since the Beatles, an artist claims the Top Two spots on the Hot 100 in the same week. This is even more amazing when you consider the Bee Gees also wrote and are heard on the #3 song, "Emotion" by Samantha Sang. Also incredible is that to accomplish this feat, they moved from 1 to 2 to SIX, then back to #2 with "Stayin' Alive", AND they knocked their own brother out of #1 to do it, with a song they also wrote. They are also responsible for several other songs on the chart, and have THREE #1s just on their own on the survey at the same time. Unbelievable week. Music is clipped to avoid copyright violations. Show is posted for historical significance under "fair use". If you have any requests or questions, email me...
