A petition on Change.org calling for the Electoral College to elect Hillary Clinton as President has earned over half of the signatures needed for it to be sent to the governing body. Although Trump won over the 270 necessary electoral votes to secure the Presidency, Clinton narrowly earned the nation’s popular vote. The Electoral College - which was first introduced in 1804 - is comprised of 538 electors.
PeopleA bald eagle in Florida was rescued Thursday night after being stuck in a storm drain for about 90 minutes after fighting with another bald eagle. “I saw two eagles fighting in the sky and they just dropped right into the drain, so I immediately pulled over,” witness Edward Bickerstaff told ABC affiliate WFTV. Portions of the road were closed as crews worked to retrieve the eagle from the drain, and WFTVbroadcast the rescue live on Facebook for the entirety of the ordeal.
