Some footage of the busiest corridor for streetcars in the city of Toronto. All TTC streetcar routes converge on the length of Spadina Street, from St Clair Avenue in the north, to the Harbourfront (Queens Quay) in the south. Route 510-Spadina runs the length of the street, tying the other streetcar routes together. Beginning at the underground streetcar loop at Spadina station on the Bloor-Danforth subway line, I rode the Spadina streetcar south. It surfaces, makes a few stops, then swings around Spadina Crescent before continuing straight south on the street again. College, Dundas, Queen, and King streets, all of which have their own streetcar lines, are crossed in succession. I got off at Dundas and Queen streets, respectively, to watch the action as cars on the 510-Spadina, 505-Du...

The first renderings of the tallest towers at Concord CityPlace in Downtown Toronto have been released. Proposed at 64 and 75 storeys, the residential towers rise from a shared 10-storey mixed-use podium located on the northeast corner of Spadina Avenue and Bremner Boulevard at the heart of the neighbourhood. The project, known as the Signature Towers from an early plan for them, do not have an official name for marketing yet, but will be built on 'Block 22' at CityPlace, where the Concord Adex headquarters and presentation centre now stands. http://urbantoronto.ca/news/2014/12/concord-adex-releases-renderings-spadina-and-bremner-site
If you were wondering what "really" happened at the corner of Queen and Spadina on June 27, 2010, this video will get you close. This compilation is a recreation of the incident that occurred at the intersection of Queen street and Spadina avenue in Toronto on June 27, 2010 between 6:00pm and 6:30 pm. Using the various online videos that separately showed snippets of protesters entering the intersection, being separated into the two groups, one large and one small, the violent "kettling" of the smaller group and their arrest, a continuous unbroken document was recreated. Each clip is meticulously synchronized to the others via both visual and audio cues that occur in one or more of the other clips to ensure that this recreation is an authentic experience for the viewer.

Another catch-all video of scenes between Toronto and Port Hope, Ontario from the period 1989 to 1995. We begin at CP's Agincourt Yard watching a stream of locals going out (with vans!) then to downtown where we catch a CN switcher switching the Toronto Star, followed by a brief glimpse of a pair of "Sweeps" (EMD switchers with Geep hoods). A GO train and a VIA train from Sarnia are seen from Spadina Avenue. Then back to Agincourt and over to the big junction south of CN's Macmillan Yard. We catch a CP eastbound leaving the east end of Agincourt and chase it to Port Hope, followed by various scenes there and along the way. Finally we chase a CP westbound back to Toronto to finish the journey.
