First Friday with a Friend
Each tour lasts for 45-60 minutes and includes 3-4 works of art. Each participant is given reproductions of the works of art discussed, to take home. This allows the experience at the Gallery to be extended and shared with family members and carers. Trained educators, with the support of Gallery volunteers, deliver the tours at the National Gallery.

First Friday of every month. 10.30-11.30am
You can come individually with a carer, family member or friend. The Gallery runs monthly tours for people living with dementia and their personal carer.

Community based dementia care providers
Community dementia care organisations bring regular groups to the Gallery. Coordination between the Gallery and the care provider establish the frequency of the tours. Community based dementia care providers should contact the Gallery to participate.

Residential dementia care providers
Residential care facilities are able to bring small groups to the Gallery. Ask your activity officer to contact the National Gallery of Australia.
