Questions you may have

What does the Verizon deal mean for my business?

We recently announced that Verizon will acquire Yahoo's operating business. This deal is expected to close in Q1 2017, so right now everything remains the same, and your Aabaco Small Business team is unchanged.

Please stay tuned for further announcements, and thank you for being a part of Aabaco Small Business from Yahoo!

Why is Aabaco Small Business no longer being separated from Yahoo?

Yahoo has decided to suspend work on the spin-off of Aabaco Holdings, which also includes Aabaco Small Business. Read more.

Are my products and services with Aabaco Small Business the same as they were with Yahoo Small Business?

Your products will either remain the same or you will see improvements over time.

As a customer, is there anything I need to do?

Yes. Please review this Questions and Answers document to ensure your services continue without interruption. We have also put together this abbreviated Checklist to help you manage any changes you may need to make.

You should also read our new terms of service and privacy policy which are now in effect.

What, if anything, will happen to my Yahoo account?

You will still keep your Yahoo account so that you can continue to access other Yahoo products and services, including any personal Yahoo Mail accounts.

Why do I see luminate.com for some site pages and my Control Panel?

Long story, short: We had to move all sites and servers off of the Yahoo domain as part of the previously planned spin preparations. At the time, luminate.com was our planned product brand, but Yahoo decided to instead adopt the company name, Aabaco Small Business, as our brand. You may see the luminate.com domain used for some time.

Are Yahoo Small Business India and Yahoo Small Business Canada also part of this rebrand?

Yes. Yahoo Small Business India and Yahoo Small Business Canada have also been renamed Aabaco Small Business. If you are a Yahoo Small Business India customer, please review this page for more details.

Will prices for my services remain the same?

We do not have plans to change the prices for our products and services in association with the rebrand.

Since Aabaco Small Business is still a part of Yahoo, will my invoices and renewals come from Yahoo or Aabaco Small Business?

The invoice you will receive for your services will come from Aabaco Small Business. For now, “Yahoo” will appear on your bank statements.

How does this impact my Business Mail accounts?

Business Mail will continue to be powered by Yahoo Mail. The functionality you have today will either remain the same or see improvements. You will have access to past emails sent and retain your sub-account email addresses as you have already set them up. We also anticipate no changes to the way you access your business email mailboxes.

Will SiteBuilder and/or Site Solution be part of the ongoing offerings?

There are no planned changes for Yahoo SiteBuilder or Site Solution associated with the rebrand.

If you are a SiteBuilder user, you need to download a new version of SiteBuilder starting November 15, 2015. This new version is available here.
