Max Emanuel Cenčić (born September 21, 1976) is a countertenor, currently based in Austria.
Born in Zagreb, Cenčić started singing at a very early age, earning fame in his native Croatia at the age of six after singing the Queen of the Night's coloratura showpiece aria 'Der Hölle Rache' from Mozart's Die Zauberflöte on Zagreb television. From circa 1987 to 1992, Cenčić was a member of the Wiener Sängerknaben, with which institution he toured and recorded widely. Recorded performances (in which Cenčić was either treble soloist of the Sängerknaben or an independent male soprano) with the Sängerknaben include Händel's Messiah, Haydn's Die Schöpfung, and Mozart's Requiem (which also features countertenor Derek Lee Ragin), all available on the Capriccio label. Cenčić can also be heard in his capacity as the leading treble soloist with the Wiener Sängerknaben in numerous recordings of liturgical and secular music on the Philips label. A particular highlight from his recordings with the Sängerknaben is a performance of the vocal version of Johann Strauss II's Frühlingsstimmen, a remarkable feat of vocalism for a boy soprano.
Maximilian II (11 July 1662 – 26 February 1726), also known as Max Emanuel or Maximilian Emanuel, was a Wittelsbach ruler of Bavaria and a Kurfürst of the Holy Roman Empire. He was also the last governor of the Spanish Netherlands and duke of Luxembourg. An able soldier, his ambition led to conflicts that limited his ultimate dynastic achievements.
He was born in Munich to Ferdinand Maria, Elector of Bavaria and Henriette Adelaide of Savoy (d.1676). His maternal grandparents were Victor Amadeus I of Savoy and Christine Marie of France, daughter of King Henri IV.
Maximilian inherited the elector's mantle while still a minor in 1679 and remained under his uncle Maximilian Philipp's regency until 1680. By 1683 he was already embarked on a military career, fighting in the defense of Vienna against the attempt of the Ottoman Empire to extend their possessions further into Europe. He returned to court for long enough to marry Maria Antonia, daughter of Leopold I, Holy Roman Emperor and Margaret Theresa of Spain, on July 15, 1685 in Vienna, Austria. This marriage was very unhappy since the couple disliked each other, but it was successful in producing a desired heir for both Bavaria and the Spanish monarchy. Maximilian Emanuel's fame was assured when, in 1688, he led the capture of Belgrade from the Turks, with the full support of Serbian insurgents under the command of Jovan Monasterlija.

George Petrou (Γιώργος Πέτρου) is a Greek conductor of classical music, and in particular the operas of Handel. His recording of Alessandro with his own Armonia Atenea ensemble was awarded a prize at the International Opera Awards.
Born in Athens, Petrou studied piano at the Conservatory of Athens, then at the Royal Academy in London, with the support of the Onassis Foundation. As a pianist he performed in a duo with the pianist Christos Papageorgiu, winning the Redding-Piette competition in 1995. His recordings of Handel have tended to final versions, unknown works such as pasticcios. His recordings of Greek composers include the Don Crepuscolo of Nikolaos Mantzaros, performed by bass Christophoros Stamboglis (MDG, LC06768, 2011)
