Orleans' an American pop-rock band best known for its hits "Dance with Me" & "Still the One" The group's name evolved from the music it was playing at the time of their formation, which was inspired by Louisiana artists such as Allen Toussaint and the Neville Brothers. Orleans was formed in Woodstock, New York in January 1972 by vocalist/guitarist/songwriter John Hall, vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist Larry Hoppen and drummer/percussionist Wells Kelly. In October of that year, the group expanded to include Larry's younger brother, Lance, on bass. Drummer Jerry Marotta joined in 1976,completing the quintet.
Orleans continued to write, record and perform. In 2010 there were repeat performances in both Washington, DC (in support of DCCC) and in Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands (fundraising for the Nana Baby Home, the orphanage there). The writing and recording of new material was always a high priority for the band.
Original band member Larry Hoppen passed away on the evening of July 24, 2012, however there are no details as to the cause yet.
In August 2012 Lance posted the following message on the band's website: "We mourn the sudden loss of brother Larry Hoppen. However, we will undertake to finish this year's calendar of gigs in his honor. Larry would have wanted that. Since this tragic time, Orleans has made the decision to carry on with a lineup consisting of: John Hall, Dennis "Fly" Amero, Charlie Morgan and Lance and Lane Hoppen -WiKi

Orléans (pronounced: [ɔʁleɑ̃]) is a city in north-central France, about 130 kilometres (81 mi) southwest of Paris. It is the capital of the Loiret department and of the Centre region.
Orléans is located on the Loire River where the river curves south towards the Massif Central.
The city of New Orleans (in French, La Nouvelle-Orléans), in the United States is named after the commune of Orléans.
Orléans is located in the northern bend of the Loire, which crosses from east to west. Orléans belongs to the vallée de la Loire sector between Sully-sur-Loire and Chalonnes-sur-Loire, which was in 2000 inscribed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The capital of Orléanais, 120 kilomètres south-south-west of Paris, it is bordered to the north by the Beauce region and the forêt d'Orléans, and the Orléans-la-Source neighbourhood and the Sologne region to the south.
Five bridges in the town cross the river :
To the south of the Loire (on the "rive gauche") is to be found a small hill (102 m (335 ft) at the pont Georges-V, 110 m (360 ft) at the place du Martroi) which gently rises to 125 m (410 ft) at la Croix Fleury, at the limits of Fleury-les-Aubrais.

Unfortanty I did not catch my type-o on the video untl a few weeks after i had made the post and by then the video had received so many hits that I decided to just let it roll - Thanks J.R. Orleans' an American pop-rock band best known for its hits "Dance with Me" & "Still the One" The group's name evolved from the music it was playing at the time of their formation, which was inspired by Louisiana artists such as Allen Toussaint and the Neville Brothers. Orleans' an American pop-rock band best known for its hits "Dance with Me" & "Still the One" The group's name evolved from the music it was playing at the time of their formation, which was inspired by Louisiana artists such as Allen Toussaint and the Neville Brothers. Orleans was formed in Woodstock, New York in January 1972 by vocalist/guitarist/songwriter John Hall, vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist Larry Hoppen and drummer/percussionist Wells Kelly. In October of that year, the group expanded to include Larry's younger brother, Lance, on bass. Drummer Jerry Marotta joined in 1976,completing the quintet.
Orleans continued to write, record and perform. In 2010 there were repeat performances in both Washington, DC (in support of DCCC) and in Saint Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands (fundraising for the Nana Baby Home, the orphanage there). The writing and recording of new material was always a high priority for the band.
Original band member Larry Hoppen passed away on the evening of July 24, 2012, however there are no details as to the cause yet.
In August 2012 Lance posted the following message on the band's website: "We mourn the sudden loss of brother Larry Hoppen. However, we will undertake to finish this year's calendar of gigs in his honor. Larry would have wanted that. Since this tragic time, Orleans has made the decision to carry on with a lineup consisting of: John Hall, Dennis "Fly" Amero, Charlie Morgan and Lance and Lane Hoppen -WiKi

One of my bestfriends/roommate (Zenese) and a good friend (Joe) of mine met in New Orleans for the 4th of July weekend. We explored Bourbon Street and the French Quarter. Joe is from Baton Rouge and is also familiar with the city of New Orleans, so of course he was our travel guide during our trip. We stayed at a house off Airbnb, we thought it was a little skeptical at first, but it turned out to be ok. The house wasn't far from all the activities, so we ubered majority of the time. I also met up one of the many cousins I have and partied with him for the first time (I feel old lol). LipsticknCurls had her last "Curls over Brunch Tour" in New Orleans, so of course my bestie and I had to attend. I sadly don't have any footage from the brunch, but it was an amazing event! (I will link her video below) Looking back at the video, I wish I would have recorded more, but I learned from my mistake and will do better next time. I hope you enjoy the video!
