Daniel Lorenzo Hackett[1] (born December 19, 1987) is an Italian-American professional basketball player who plays for Emporio Armani Milano of the Italian League. Standing at 6 ft 6 in (1.98 m), he can play both the point guard and shooting guard positions.
The son of Rudy Hackett, Daniel was born in Forlimpopoli (Forlì-Cesena), but grew up in Pesaro. He attended high school at St. John Bosco of Bellflower. He studied at the University of Southern California, playing college basketball since his freshman year as the USC Trojans' point guard, with whom he played in the NCAA Tournament three times. On November 17, 2007, Hackett had his first triple double with the Trojans', putting on the score sheet 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists.
Hackett went undrafted in the 2009 NBA Draft, and decided to play for the Italian League team Benetton Treviso for one season. In 2010, he moved to Scavolini Pesaro, where he spent two years. In 2012, he signed a two-year deal with the Italian team Montepaschi Siena.[2] In his first season with the team, he was named, both Italian League Finals and Italian Cup most valuable player. Also, in his first career Euroleague season he averaged 7.2 points, 3 assists and 2.3 rebounds over 22 games. On December 24, 2013, he signed a three-year deal with Emporio Armani Milano
Hackett was a member of the senior men's Italian national basketball team at the FIBA EuroBasket 2011, in Lithuania.

Daniel Lorenzo Hackett (Forlimpopoli, 19 dicembre 1987) è un cestista italiano dell'Olimpia Milano.
Hackett fa parte del gruppo dei titolari della Nazionale italiana, con cui ha disputato alcune amichevoli nell'estate del 2007. Sempre nello stesso anno ha vinto la medaglia di bronzo al Campionato Europeo Under 20 disputatosi nelle città di Nova Gorica e Gorizia.
Nel 2008 si è allenato con la Nazionale maggiore a Bormio. Nel 2011 è tra i 18 pre-convocati da Simone Pianigiani per il FIBA EuroBasket 2011, ad agosto è stato definitivamente convocato per la fase finale durante la quale è partito sempre in quintetto giocando come playmaker titolare, ottenendo 7.8 punti, 3 assist e 2.8 rimbalzi di media[7].
Non ha partecipato all'Eurobasket 2013 a causa di un infortunio[8].
Il 18 luglio 2014 abbandona, secondo la FIP senza motivazione e giustificato motivo, il ritiro della Nazionale italiana a Trieste.

John William "Johnny" Carson (October 23, 1925 – January 23, 2005) was an American television host and comedian, known for thirty years as host of The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson (1962–1992). Carson received six Emmy Awards, the Governor Award, and a 1985 Peabody Award. He was inducted into the Television Academy Hall of Fame in 1987. Johnny Carson was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1992 and received a Kennedy Center Honor in 1993.
Although his show was already successful by the end of the 1960s, during the 1970s Carson became an American icon and remained so until his retirement in 1992. He adopted a casual, conversational approach with extensive interaction with guests, an approach pioneered by Arthur Godfrey and previous Tonight Show hosts Steve Allen and Jack Paar. Late night hosts David Letterman, Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien, Craig Ferguson, and Jimmy Fallon have all cited Carson's influence on their late-night talk shows, which resemble his in format and tone.
Carson was born in Corning, Iowa, in the year 1925, to Homer Lloyd "Kit" Carson, a power company manager, and Ruth Hook Carson, who was of Irish descent. He grew up in the nearby towns of Avoca, Clarinda, and Red Oak in southwest Iowa before moving to Norfolk, Nebraska, at the age of eight. At the age of twelve, Carson found a book on magic at a friend's house and immediately purchased a mail-order magician's kit. He debuted as "The Great Carsoni" at fourteen and was paid $3; many other performances at local picnics and country fairs followed.

Daniel Lorenzo Hackett[1] (born December 19, 1987) is an Italian-American professional basketball player who plays for Emporio Armani Milano of the Italian League. Standing at 6 ft 6 in (1.98 m), he can play both the point guard and shooting guard positions. The son of Rudy Hackett, Daniel was born in Forlimpopoli (Forlì-Cesena), but grew up in Pesaro. He attended high school at St. John Bosco of Bellflower. Daniel Lorenzo Hackett[1] (born December 19, 1987) is an Italian-American professional basketball player who plays for Emporio Armani Milano of the Italian League. Standing at 6 ft 6 in (1.98 m), he can play both the point guard and shooting guard positions.
The son of Rudy Hackett, Daniel was born in Forlimpopoli (Forlì-Cesena), but grew up in Pesaro. He attended high school at St. John Bosco of Bellflower. He studied at the University of Southern California, playing college basketball since his freshman year as the USC Trojans' point guard, with whom he played in the NCAA Tournament three times. On November 17, 2007, Hackett had his first triple double with the Trojans', putting on the score sheet 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists.
Hackett went undrafted in the 2009 NBA Draft, and decided to play for the Italian League team Benetton Treviso for one season. In 2010, he moved to Scavolini Pesaro, where he spent two years. In 2012, he signed a two-year deal with the Italian team Montepaschi Siena.[2] In his first season with the team, he was named, both Italian League Finals and Italian Cup most valuable player. Also, in his first career Euroleague season he averaged 7.2 points, 3 assists and 2.3 rebounds over 22 games. On December 24, 2013, he signed a three-year deal with Emporio Armani Milano
Hackett was a member of the senior men's Italian national basketball team at the FIBA EuroBasket 2011, in Lithuania.

Hackett fa parte del gruppo dei titolari della Nazionale italiana, con cui ha disputato alcune amichevoli nell'estate del 2007. Sempre nello stesso anno ha vinto la medaglia di bronzo al Campionato Europeo Under 20 disputatosi nelle città di Nova Gorica e Gorizia.
Nel 2008 si è allenato con la Nazionale maggiore a Bormio. Nel 2011 è tra i 18 pre-convocati da Simone Pianigiani per il FIBA EuroBasket 2011, ad agosto è stato definitivamente convocato per la fase finale durante la quale è partito sempre in quintetto giocando come playmaker titolare, ottenendo 7.8 punti, 3 assist e 2.8 rimbalzi di media[7].
Non ha partecipato all'Eurobasket 2013 a causa di un infortunio[8].
Il 18 luglio 2014 abbandona, secondo la FIP senza motivazione e giustificato motivo, il ritiro della Nazionale italiana a Trieste.
