Pink Floyd - Another Brick In The Wall
Lifted from "Pink Floyd The Wall" film, this video is actually comprised of two songs: "The Happiest Days Of Our Lives" and "Another Brick In The Wall Pt. 2" This video became the official video of "Another Brick In The Wall Pt. 2" after the release of the film in 1982.
This single is by far Pink Floyd's greatest ever mainstream success, instantly attaining classic status, and is perhaps their most famous piece of work.
ABINTW Pt. 2 even became the protest song of a group of South African students during the apartheid regime, the song was subsequently banned in South Africa.
The song itself is a protest against the rigidity of British schools, and in particular, the boarding school system Waters would have been part of as a young boy.
The poem read out by the schoolteacher is a direct reference to "Money"
The schoolteacher in this video was portrayed by the late, great, Scottish actor Alex McAvoy who passed away in June 2005.

My name is Maegan Woodin, and I'm a professional dancer, choreographer, teacher and student. I have danced for MTV, Diana Ross, Marc Jacobs and have appeared in many music videos. A pique turn is a travelling turning step in which your foot is in a forte usually with your toe behind the knee and your arms for pique turns starts from here and they are gonna open up second position in closed back in first position it's important that you don't close your arms too soon or you keep the arms in 2nd position for too long it's also important that you feel them directly in front of your belly button instead of arc to one side or the other and thinking about that bottom line again coming straight up and down when you are doing the pique turns, so just demonstrating the arms first coz they are actually one of the most important things as well spotting in pique turns so starting with your arms very rounded and strong when you get the corner you are gonna make sure that your arms are in a second position not too far behind you wanna make sure they are nice and forward and then when you start to come towards back your arms should be together at this point and then if you are going to continue on you wanna open up the second arm to continue the pique turns so you are gonna go open up to second close to first and then open up again. Making sure that you are spotting the entire time in one corner of the room .so when you are doing a pique turn sequence down in a diagonal you wanna make sure that you are stepping every time you are going to the next pique turn, stepping in front of yourself so if I was to do a pique turn directly in front of me ,I wanna make sure that I am stepping forward and coming up to forte instead of trying to come to the side you wanna make sure that your foot is always pointed in front and you are thinking about your body coming directly to that line. so I am gonna now demonstrate a sequence of pique turns in a diagonal.

The Wall
The Wall is the eleventh studio album by the English progressive rock band Pink Floyd. It is the last studio album released with the classic lineup of guitarist David Gilmour, bassist/lyricist Roger Waters, keyboardist Richard Wright and drummer Nick Mason before Wright left the band. Released as a double album on 30 November 1979, it was supported by a tour with elaborate theatrical effects, and adapted into a 1982 feature film, Pink Floyd – The Wall. The album features the band's only number one single; "Another Brick in the Wall Part 2".
As with Pink Floyd's previous three albums, The Wall is a concept album and explores themes of abandonment and personal isolation. The album is a rock opera that follows Pink, a character whom Waters modelled after himself and the band's original leader, Syd Barrett. Pink's life begins with the loss of his father during the Second World War and continues with abuse from his schoolteachers, an overprotective mother, and the breakdown of his marriage; all contribute to his eventual self-imposed isolation from society, represented by a metaphorical wall. Waters conceived the album during Pink Floyd's 1977 In the Flesh Tour, when his frustration with the audience became so acute that he imagined a wall between the audience and the stage.

Pink Floyd
Pink Floyd were an English rock band formed in London. They achieved international acclaim with their progressive and psychedelic music. Distinguished by their use of philosophical lyrics, sonic experimentation, extended compositions and elaborate live shows, they are one of the most commercially successful and musically influential groups in the history of popular music.
Pink Floyd were founded in 1965 by students Syd Barrett, Nick Mason, Roger Waters, and Richard Wright. They gained popularity performing in London's underground music scene during the late 1960s, and under Barrett's leadership released two charting singles and a successful debut album, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn (1967). David Gilmour joined as a fifth member in December 1967; Barrett left the band in April 1968 due to deteriorating mental health. Waters became the band's primary lyricist and, by the mid-1970s, their dominant songwriter, devising the concepts behind their critically and commercially successful albums The Dark Side of the Moon (1973), Wish You Were Here (1975), Animals (1977), The Wall (1979) and The Final Cut (1983). The Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall became two of the best-selling albums of all time.

Another Brick in the Wall
"Another Brick in the Wall" is the title of three songs set to variations of the same basic theme, on Pink Floyd's 1979 rock opera, The Wall, subtitled Part 1 (working title "Reminiscing"), Part 2 (working title "Education"), and Part 3 (working title "Drugs"). All parts were written by Pink Floyd's bassist, Roger Waters. Part II is a protest song against rigid schooling in general and boarding schools in the UK in particular. It was also released as a single and provided the band's only number-one hit in the United Kingdom, the United States, West Germany and many other countries. In addition, in the US, along with the tracks, "Run Like Hell", and "Don't Leave Me Now", "Another Brick in the Wall" reached number fifty-seven on the disco chart.
In the UK, it was Pink Floyd's first single since 1968's "Point Me at the Sky"; the song was also the final number-one single of the 1970s. For Part II, Pink Floyd received a Grammy nomination for Best Performance by a Rock Duo or Group and lost to Bob Seger's "Against the Wind". In addition, Part II was number 375 on Rolling Stone's list of "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time". The single sold over 4 million copies worldwide.

I'm going to be talking to you about ballet. A pique turn is a travelling turning step in which your foot is in a forte usually with your toe behind the knee and your arms for pique turns starts from here and they are gonna open up second position in closed back in first position it's important that you don't close your arms too soon or you keep the arms in 2nd position for too long it's also important that you feel them directly in front of your belly button instead of arc to one side or the other and thinking about that bottom line again coming straight up and down when you are doing the pique turns, so just demonstrating the arms first coz they are actually one of the most important things as well spotting in pique turns so starting with your arms very rounded and strong when you get the corner you are gonna make sure that your arms are in a second position not too far behind you wanna make sure they are nice and forward and then when you start to come towards back your arms should be together at this point and then if you are going to continue on you wanna open up the second arm to continue the pique turns so you are gonna go open up to second close to first and then open up again. Making sure that you are spotting the entire time in one corner of the room .so when you are doing a pique turn sequence down in a diagonal you wanna make sure that you are stepping every time you are going to the next pique turn, stepping in front of yourself so if I was to do a pique turn directly in front of me ,I wanna make sure that I am stepping forward and coming up to forte instead of trying to come to the side you wanna make sure that your foot is always pointed in front and you are thinking about your body coming directly to that line. so I am gonna now demonstrate a sequence of pique turns in a diagonal.

My name is Maegan Woodin, and I'm a professional dancer, choreographer, teacher and student. I have danced for MTV, Diana Ross, Marc Jacobs and have appeared in many music videos. A pique turn is a travelling turning step in which your foot is in a forte usually with your toe behind the knee and your arms for pique turns starts from here and they are gonna open up second position in closed back in first position it's important that you don't close your arms too soon or you keep the arms in 2nd position for too long it's also important that you feel them directly in front of your belly button instead of arc to one side or the other and thinking about that bottom line again coming straight up and down when you are doing the pique turns, so just demonstrating the arms first coz they are actually one of the most important things as well spotting in pique turns so starting with your arms very rounded and strong when you get the corner you are gonna make sure that your arms are in a second position not too far behind you wanna make sure they are nice and forward and then when you start to come towards back your arms should be together at this point and then if you are going to continue on you wanna open up the second arm to continue the pique turns so you are gonna go open up to second close to first and then open up again. Making sure that you are spotting the entire time in one corner of the room .so when you are doing a pique turn sequence down in a diagonal you wanna make sure that you are stepping every time you are going to the next pique turn, stepping in front of yourself so if I was to do a pique turn directly in front of me ,I wanna make sure that I am stepping forward and coming up to forte instead of trying to come to the side you wanna make sure that your foot is always pointed in front and you are thinking about your body coming directly to that line. so I am gonna now demonstrate a sequence of pique turns in a diagonal.
