Don't Look Away is the debut full-length album from Kate Voegele. The album was released via MySpace Records and Interscope Records. It has sold approximately 250,000 copies worldwide to date.
Voegele began work on the album in 2006, after she signed a record contract with Myspace Records and Interscope Records. The album features songs which were used on both of Voegele's extended plays. It was received well by critics and fans, who called Voegele "a breath of fresh air". The album spawned three singles, including Only Fooling Myself, Hallelujah, and You Can't Break a Broken Heart. It has sold approximately 250,000 copies to date worldwide.
Voegele promoted the album mainly through live performances. She performed songs from the album on her Lift Me Up Tour, and on Jordin Sparks's Battlefield Tour, in which she appeared as the opening act. Songs from the album were also performed on the hit television series One Tree Hill, by her character Mia Catalano, who is also an aspiring singer.
You Were Here is an album by Canadian singer-songwriter Sarah Harmer, released in 2000.
You Were Here was Harmer's commercial breakthrough in Canada after years of almost reaching the pop charts with Weeping Tile. Ironically, the album's first big hit, "Basement Apt.", had previously been a Weeping Tile song, appearing on that band's 1995 release eepee. Harmer also had a hit with "Don't Get Your Back Up", which she had previously recorded with The Saddletramps. Three other songs, "Weakened State", "Lodestar" and "Coffee Stain", had also been previously recorded by Weeping Tile, on 1998's This Great Black Night.
Harmer stated "“I always had kind of high expectations for You Were Here, but I was holding onto it for as long as I could, to find a proper, appropriate home.” She self-financed and self-released the album on her own Cold Snap Records label before it was licensed by Zoë Records and Universal Music Canada.
The album's title track is a tribute to her former Weeping Tile bandmate Joe Chithalen, who died in 1999.
Pink Floyd were an English rock band formed in London. They achieved international acclaim with their progressive and psychedelic music. Distinguished by their use of philosophical lyrics, sonic experimentation, extended compositions and elaborate live shows, they are one of the most commercially successful and musically influential groups in the history of popular music.
Pink Floyd were founded in 1965 by students Syd Barrett, Nick Mason, Roger Waters, and Richard Wright. They gained popularity performing in London's underground music scene during the late 1960s, and under Barrett's leadership released two charting singles and a successful debut album, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn (1967). David Gilmour joined as a fifth member in December 1967; Barrett left the band in April 1968 due to deteriorating mental health. Waters became the band's primary lyricist and, by the mid-1970s, their dominant songwriter, devising the concepts behind their critically and commercially successful albums The Dark Side of the Moon (1973), Wish You Were Here (1975), Animals (1977), The Wall (1979) and The Final Cut (1983). The Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall became two of the best-selling albums of all time.

The Pink Floyd's longest and best song! Lyrics: Remember when you were young, You shone like the sun, Shine On You Crazy Diamond! Now there's a look in your eyes, Like black holes in the sky, Shine On You Crazy Diamond! You were caught in the cross fire, Of childhood and stardom, Blown on the steel breeze. Come on you target for faraway laughter, Come on you stranger, you legend, you martyr and shine! You reached for the secrets too soon, You cried for the moon, Shine On You Crazy Diamond! Threatened by shadows at night, And exposed to the light, Shine On You Crazy Diamond! Well you wore out your welcome, With random precision, Rode on the steel breeze. Come on you raver, you seer of visions, Come on you painter, you piper, you prisoner and shine! Nobody knows were you are, How near or...

"Wish You Were Here" is the title track on Pink Floyd's 1975 album Wish You Were Here. The song's lyrics encompass writer Roger Waters' feelings of alienation from other people. Like most of the album, it refers to former Pink Floyd member Syd Barrett and his breakdown. The main riff came to David Gilmour at home while playing on an acoustic guitar, and it became something which he continued to play in-between takes at Abbey Road Studios where it caught the attention of Roger Waters. They collaborated to complete the song, as Waters had already written some lyrics. In 2004, the song was ranked #316 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

Here is something completely different than what I normally do, but I really like Pink Floyd. So, I covered one of their entire albums. And some people say I don't use my time productively... EDIT: What has happened? Why does this suddenly have so many more views? Did I miss something?
Wish You Were Here is the ninth studio album by the English progressive rock group Pink Floyd, released in September 1975. It explores themes of absence, the music business and former band member Syd Barrett's mental decline. Inspired by material the band composed while performing across Europe, Wish You Were Here was recorded in numerous sessions at London's Abbey Road Studios. The premise of the album was based on a song written by the band called "Shine On You Crazy Diamond". "Shine On" was a tribute to Barrett, who, coincidentally, made an impromptu visit to the studio while it was being recorded. It was lead writer Roger Waters's idea to split the "Shine On" in two parts and use it to bookend the album around three new compositions, forming a new concept similar to their previous albu...
