Your gynecologist has recommended that you undergo surgery to remove vaginal fibroids. But what does that actually mean?
The uterus is part of a woman's reproductive system - it's the organ that contains and protects a growing fetus during pregnancy.
Fibroids are non-cancerous tumors that grow from the inner or outer wall of the uterus, and may be removed via the vaginal passage. They are quite common - as many as 20% of women over 30 will develop fibroids sometime during their lifetimes.
In most cases fibroids do not cause any discomfort and are never detected. Occasionally, however, fibroid tumors can cause problems. Complications from fibroid growth can include:
* Pressure on the urinary system.
* Pressure on the intestines.
* Interference with the reproductive system
* Or infection.
* Fibroids that lead to heavy vaginal bleeding lead to anemia and iron deficiency.
Because these tumors can grow to be very large, surgery is usually recommended in order to restore health and to protect the uterus. A small surgery that can be performed transvaginally or laparoscopically.

Health is the level of functional or metabolic efficiency of a living being. In humans, it is the general condition of a person's mind, body and spirit, usually meaning to be free from illness, injury or pain (as in “good health” or “healthy”). Classification systems such as the WHO Family of International Classifications, including the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) and the International Classification of Diseases (ICD), are commonly used to define and measure the components of health.
The maintenance and promotion of health is achieved through different combination of physical, mental, and social well-being, together sometimes referred to as the “health triangle”. The WHO's 1986 Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion furthered that health is not just a state, but also "a resource for everyday life, not the objective of living. Health is a positive concept emphasizing social and personal resources, as well as physical capacities."

Bipasha Basu (born 7 January 1979) is an Indian actress who appears in Hindi language films. She has also worked in Telugu, Bengali and Tamil language films. She is a former model who had a successful modeling career before venturing into films.
She debuted in a negative role in Ajnabee (2001) which earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Her first commercial success was Raaz (2002). She was then noticed for her bold role in the erotic thriller film, Jism (2003). She starred in top grossing films like 2005's biggest hit – No Entry, Phir Hera Pheri (2006), Dhoom 2 (2006) – her biggest commercial success till date and Race (2008). Her performances in Apharan (2005), Corporate (2006), Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008) and Lamhaa (2010) won her multiple nominations for several awards. She is frequented in the media as a "sex symbol".
She has been nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress and the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress twice each along with one nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Performance in a Negative Role. Roles apart, she is also renowned for her item songs like "Phoonk De" in No Smoking (2007), and "Beedi" and "Namak Ishq Ka" in Omkara (2006). Basu is slated to make her international film debut with the 2012 Australian film Singularity.

Plot: David Ashley Planner, a young sociopathic father with two abandoned teenaged kids and a posse of devoted, pathetic women who all wear the same shirt, is about to win the girl of his dreams. I'd get a ton of bands together, and there would be a whole new canon... I don't think I'd make rock as popular, I mean... the rhythms that people rely on that are based off of it are just... the opposite of what music is really supposed to inspire, which is a passion for... life. And there would be an alternate set of book publishers to publish any books that this book would create by referencing. We'd open a Museum of Contemporary Art that was filled with... real art.::Immaculada Boxer: What would you call it?::David 'Ashley' Planner: I'm just frustrated because there are so many options, and there's only one choice to be made in a particular situation, and I think that... a fascist art project that costs billions of dollars and requires the violation of personal rights to bring it into fruition... would relieve the desperation that comes from the limitlessness of everyone's imagination, and the finality not just of life itself but of every single moment that passes in life. Because I need something in my life to fill my life, and I need it to be the biggest thing I can think of, and the biggest thing is my thoughts. The project itself couldn't be titled. It's just a universal, impossible dream being un-realized and realized in a particular way.::Immaculada Boxer: Tell me more about my dreams.::David 'Ashley' Planner: I need something first. The uterus is part of a woman's reproductive system - it's the organ that contains and protects a growing fetus during pregnancy.
Fibroids are non-cancerous tumors that grow from the inner or outer wall of the uterus, and may be removed via the vaginal passage. They are quite common - as many as 20% of women over 30 will develop fibroids sometime during their lifetimes.
In most cases fibroids do not cause any discomfort and are never detected. Occasionally, however, fibroid tumors can cause problems. Complications from fibroid growth can include:
* Pressure on the urinary system.
* Pressure on the intestines.
* Interference with the reproductive system
* Or infection.
* Fibroids that lead to heavy vaginal bleeding lead to anemia and iron deficiency.
Because these tumors can grow to be very large, surgery is usually recommended in order to restore health and to protect the uterus. A small surgery that can be performed transvaginally or laparoscopically.
