Jac was a champ and woke up at 2:30am to fly to Nashville the day after her finals to arrange this one. We always have a blast working with Tasha Peter, she's a longtime friend of ours and we love singing with her.
Shoutout to Spring Gate intheVillage in Harrisburg, PA for letting us film at their venue. We performed there around Thanksgiving and thought it would be a great location to shoot.

Hey all! Hope you're having a wonderful New Year so far. We filmed this a few weeks back and I finally got around to putting the footage together. I had asked for some suggestions on my Facebook, and "Blank Space" by Taylor Swift seemed to be one of the more popular requests. We ended up mashing it with "Jealous" by Nick Jonas. Jac was a trooper through this one, as she was fighting a cold. Hopefully next time we're together, we'll be healthier!

Hey all! Hope you're having a wonderful New Year so far. We filmed this a few weeks back and I finally got around to putting the footage together. I had asked for some suggestions on my Facebook, and "Blank Space" by Taylor Swift seemed to be one of the more popular requests. We ended up mashing it with "Jealous" by Nick Jonas. Jac was a trooper through this one, as she was fighting a cold. Hopefully next time we're together, we'll be healthier! In an exciting world first, The Science of Opera with Stephen Fry and Alan Davies saw a team of medical scientists from UCL discovering what happens inside us when we go to the opera.
Opera lover Stephen Fry took his friend, Royal Opera virgin and QI panellist Alan Davies, to the Royal Opera House. They were hooked up with the latest medical gadgetry to record the physical effects on their bodies of watching Verdi's political masterpiece Simon Boccanegra.
The Science of Opera promises some landmark medical discoveries as well as answering some key questions; was Alan Davies won over by opera? Did Stephen Fry get shivers down the spine during the show? Did either of them fall asleep? And what could opera do to you?

Long established as a classic of music-theatre, the work is an extravagant, disturbing and poignant portrayal of madness. The king is George III of England - or maybe another madman who believes himself to be that monarch - vocalizing weirdly as he bemoans his fate and tries to teach his instrumentalist-birds to sing. The string and woodwind players are the captives of his insanity, intended to play from within giant cages, while the percussionist is his keeper, holding him within the confines of a maddened musical sensibility. But all the musicians are essentially projections from within his own mind. The focus is always on him, and on his wild vocal performances, which include various kinds of Sprechgesang, chords and a range of over four octaves. The virtuosity of the instrumentalists is no less, nor that of the composer in playing spikily over a range of eighteenth-century references.
