The IAHCCJ and the Maison des Sciences de l’Homme announce the Herman Diederiks prize 2016

In honor of its founder and first president, the IAHCCJ has instituted an award for an original article, in the field of the history of crime and criminal justice broadly conceived, written by a scholar at the beginning of his or her academic career (normally someone who is working on a doctorate or who has completed a doctorate within two years of submitting of the paper to the journal). Within the field, there are no limitations on the subject. The article, however, must be in French or English and must not have been previously published. The award-winning article will be assured of publication in the present journal. In addition, the Foundation Maison des Sciences de l’Homme offers the winner a grant of 1 000 € to be used for study or other professional purposes.

Manuscripts must be submitted before 30 June 2016, with a CV. The editorial board of CHS serves as jury. Manuscript should be sent (preferably by e-mail) to the Editor CHS (see below).

L’IAHCCJ et la Maison des Sciences de l’Homme annoncent le prix Herman Diederiks 2016

En hommage à son président-fondateur l’IAHCCJ a institué un prix destiné à récompenser un article original, relatif au domaine, largement entendu, de l’histoire de la criminalité et de la justice pénale et écrit par un chercheur en début de carrière (c’est-à-dire, en principe, doctorant ou docteur depuis deux ans au plus à la date de soumission de l’article à la revue). À l’intérieur du domaine indiqué, tous les sujets sont admis. Toutefois, l’article doit être rédigé en français ou en anglais et ne doit jamais avoir été publié. L’article distingué sera publié dans la présente revue. En outre, le lauréat se verra offrir, par la Fondation de la Maison des Sciences de l’Homme, une bourse de 1 000 € utilisable à des fins professionnelles.

Les manuscrits, accompagnés d’un CV, doivent être adressés avant le 30 juin 2016 au rédacteur en chef de CHS, de préférence par courrier électronique (voir adresse ci-dessous). Le comité de rédaction fait office de jury.
