This is not me in the video the guy throwing the tantrum saw another guy reach for a gun and wanted to seek help from the train's security system. No one responded and because of his overreaction to no response and his overall erratic behaviour other passengers thought he was just losing his mind and attacked him and ultimately thrown him off the train.

.No response from the WMATA Emergency Call box when another rider (The man in the yellow Whole Foods shirt at 0:52 in the video!) pretended to reach for a gun. Anyone that knows this man, please come forward.
When I tried to call the conductor using the Emergency Call Box, NO action was taken by WMATA. How many times does someone (in need!) need to press this damn button?! What the Hell does the button do?! Does opening the door help?!
Ultimately, the other riders tried to get ME off the train, then a guy, the African American gentleman with the hooodie and gloves (Seen at 0:38), grabbed my phone from my hand, and stepped off the train. HE chucked it under the train when I tackled him, and wouldn't let go until the police arrived. He spent the night in jail, and I'm awaiting further prosecution of him.
At some point, I got punched in the right ear, which bled. Tonight, it continues to throb. The transit police sent pics to me of it.
I sat in the Metro station in hand-cuffs and had to go to two different WMATA transit police stations to upload my video to their computers.
I will say that the WMATA Transit Police are a GREAT bunch! They even refused to cuff me when I requested the first time, (such that everything could be sorted properly) Later, they finally obliged.
Anyway, I hope this pulls back the curtain as to how vulnerable we really are on our own subway system..

"conductor we have a problem" to reach the conductor about what he perceived as a threat on the train.
After repeatedly hitting the button and continuing to yell ""conductor we have a problem" the video shows the man going to the other side of the train and attempting to reach the conductor through the intercom over there. Eventually, the other passengers on the train urge him to get off the train, which he does.
A Metro spokesperson told WUSA9 the incident happened Thursday night on a Yellow line train heading towards the L'Enfant Plaza Station. Metro transit police and medics met the man at the next station and interviewed him. Passengers on the train also called police from their cell phones about the man.
The spokesperson said there was never a threat to the train and no injuries were reported.
WARNING: The video contains strong language
The spokesperson says the button repeatedly pushed by the man is an intercom and the conductor can not respond if the button is continually pushed.
Metro officials said they believe the system worked adequately and they were satisfied with the response to the situation.
The spokesperson would not say if the man faces any charges.

Bundit Ungrangsee (Thai: บัณฑิต อึ้งรังษี, born December 7, 1970) is an international symphonic conductor.
Thai-born and of Chinese descent, Bundit Ungrangsee was named one of two co-winners and Laureates of the inaugural Maazel-Vilar International Conductors' Competition held at Carnegie Hall in New York City, USA in September 2002. Since then, Ungrangsee has built a career as an international guest conductor, regularly leading orchestras in primarily Europe and Asia.
His work includes Principal Guest Conductor of the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra and regularly conducting orchestras in Italy, including Orchestra Internazionale d'Italia. Over the course of his career, he has held posts as Music Director of the Young Musician's Foundation Debut Orchestra in Los Angeles, Associate Conductor of the Utah Symphony, Cover Conductor for the New York Philharmonic, Associate Conductor of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra and Principal Guest Conductor of the Charleston Symphony Orchestra.
Bundit was among the honorees for the Thai Ministry of Culture's Office of Contemporary Art and Culture's Silpathorn Award in 2005. He was also named a "Cultural Ambassador".

After repeatedly hitting the button and continuing to yell ""conductor we have a problem" the video shows the man going to the other side of the train and attempting to reach the conductor through the intercom over there. Eventually, the other passengers on the train urge him to get off the train, which he does. A Metro spokesperson told WUSA9 the incident happened Thursday night on a Yellow line train heading towards the L'Enfant Plaza Station. Metro transit police and medics met the man at the next station and interviewed him. Passengers on the train also called police from their cell phones about the man. The spokesperson said there was never a threat to the train and no injuries were reported. WARNING: The video contains strong language The spokesperson says the button repeatedly pushed by the man is an intercom and the conductor can not respond if the button is continually pushed. Metro officials said they believe the system worked adequately and they were satisfied with the response to the situation. The spokesperson would not say if the man faces any charges. -

Plot: While excavating near the Pyramids, Dr. Leonhardt finds a small box with a map to the treasures of the Pharaoh Ramessess II. On his way to deliver this to the local authorities, he is kidnapped by his nemesis Dr. Bent. Before Bent can retrieve the papyrus map, Karen, who is Leonhardt's student assistant, and John, Leonhardt's son take the map to look for Leonhardt. They soon find that Bent is in hot pursuit and they figure that the only way to save Leonhardt is to be the first to the treasure so that they could ransom the Doctor from Bent. But Bent has other plans for all three of them.

No one responded and because of his overreaction to no response and his overall erratic behaviour other passengers thought he was just losing his mind and attacked him and ultimately thrown him off the train.

.No response from the WMATA Emergency Call box when another rider (The man in the yellow Whole Foods shirt at 0:52 in the video!) pretended to reach for a gun. Anyone that knows this man, please come forward.
When I tried to call the conductor using the Emergency Call Box, NO action was taken by WMATA. How many times does someone (in need!) need to press this damn button?! What the Hell does the button do?! Does opening the door help?!
Ultimately, the other riders tried to get ME off the train, then a guy, the African American gentleman with the hooodie and gloves (Seen at 0:38), grabbed my phone from my hand, and stepped off the train. HE chucked it under the train when I tackled him, and wouldn't let go until the police arrived. He spent the night in jail, and I'm awaiting further prosecution of him.
At some point, I got punched in the right ear, which bled. Tonight, it continues to throb. The transit police sent pics to me of it.
I sat in the Metro station in hand-cuffs and had to go to two different WMATA transit police stations to upload my video to their computers.
I will say that the WMATA Transit Police are a GREAT bunch! They even refused to cuff me when I requested the first time, (such that everything could be sorted properly) Later, they finally obliged.
Anyway, I hope this pulls back the curtain as to how vulnerable we really are on our own subway system..

After repeatedly hitting the button and continuing to yell ""conductor we have a problem" the video shows the man going to the other side of the train and attempting to reach the conductor through the intercom over there. Eventually, the other passengers on the train urge him to get off the train, which he does.
A Metro spokesperson told WUSA9 the incident happened Thursday night on a Yellow line train heading towards the L'Enfant Plaza Station. Metro transit police and medics met the man at the next station and interviewed him. Passengers on the train also called police from their cell phones about the man.
The spokesperson said there was never a threat to the train and no injuries were reported.

The spokesperson says the button repeatedly pushed by the man is an intercom and the conductor can not respond if the button is continually pushed.
Metro officials said they believe the system worked adequately and they were satisfied with the response to the situation.

Todo lo que necesitaba Loquillo para ser feliz a comienzos de los años ochenta (además de tatuarse el pecho, mascar tabaco, meter mano a su chica y escupir a la autoridad) era un camión. Suponemos que, con tanta ansia motorizada expresada a ritmo de rock and roll, el cantante barcelonés se sentiría en la auténtica gloria si pudiera subirse a uno de los prototipos autónomos de Mercedes. Porque, gracias a la tecnología, podría descansar de la conducción y tendría mayores posibilidades para dedicarse a esas otras cosas (lo de meter mano, por ejemplo) elevadas a señas de identidad de un verdadero camionero.
Los tiempos han cambiado desde que Loquillo irrumpiera en la escena musical española, pero el trabajo de camionero continúa siendo tan duro como entonces, a pesar de la mejora de las vías y de los vehículos. Muchas horas al volante, días fuera de casa y los sentidos siempre alerta para evitar los peligros de la carretera, son una constante en la rutina diaria de los conductores profesionales. De ahí que avances tecnológicos como los que anuncia Wolfgang Bernhard, máximo responsable de la división de autobuses y camiones de la compañía Daimler, resultarán de una gran ayuda para aliviar las dificultades de esta profesión. El Mercedes Future Truck 2025, que ya ha circulado en Estados Unidos y Alemania, incorpora cámaras, sensores de movimiento y un ordenador central que recoge todos los datos del propio vehículo y el resto de objetos que le rodean para tomar las decisiones más adecuadas en cada momento. En este caso el conductor no desaparece, sino que el objetivo es permitir que, gracias a un sistema de navegación autónomo, pueda realizar otra tareas o descansar un tiempo. Durante las pruebas realizadas con los prototipos se midió la fatiga de los conductores y se pudo apreciar que esta disminuía en un 25%, lo que ayuda a que después, una vez recuperado el mando del vehículo, sean más seguros en sus maniobras.
Para los más escépticos, aquellos que no confían en la tecnología y sienten temor ante la posibilidad de cruzarse en su camino con un camión autónomo, podríamos recomendarles ver “El diablo sobre ruedas”, el primer guión que dirigió de Steven Spielberg. Porque detrás de aquel volante había un camionero psicópata; y en casos como aquel, por inusuales que resulten, mejor encontrarse con un sistema inteligente.
