A wild and dazzling 7-8 hour train ride through the heart of the stunning country of Sri Lanka careens through the pristine tea plantations and lush greenery, easily categorizing it as the most beautiful train ride in the tear-shaped island country, and possibly the world! We had 2nd class tickets, and the train car was so incredibly stuffed we had to stand most of the ride, forced to relinquish any notion of personal space and rely on the kindness of strangers who shared their seats with us, which only added to the adventure itself. We hope you enjoy this video, as this train ride from Kandy to Ella, through Nuwara Eliya, was one of our favorite experiences from our time in Sri Lanka. Nuwara Eliya Golf Club | GoPlaces Sri Lanka It didn’t take the tea planters long to lay out land for drives and putts in their holiday town, and the golf club was founded in 1889. Spreading north from Grand Hotel Rd, Nuwara Eliya Golf Club is beautifully kept and has a retinue of languid sleeping dogs guarding more than a few of the greens. Temporary members pay Rs 500 per day. Hire golf clubs for Rs 1500 to Rs 2500 per day and golf shoes for Rs 500 per day. As with most golf clubs a certain standard of dress applies (shirts and trousers or shorts of a 'respectable' length). The club has a convivial wood-lined bar and a billiard room. Dinner in the dining room includes classic bland English cuisine, such as lamb chops with mint sauce, and an increasing number of Asian dishes. The Nuwara...

I saw you dance in the flames,
But somehow you walked out unscathed.
Slip down your way through the minefield,
By a foot and slit Achilles' heels.
Kissing curves and time bombs
Blowing your mind without going off.
Of nine, you got one life left to go.
This time you won't need to worry at all.
Cause this is your surefire shot, don't miss.
Under the gun, but for once on the other side of it.
Taking now what you want and it's yours...
for the taking.
Like a war won without waging.
Just when I thought that your luck was spent,
You dodge another bullet.
Count your blessings, even those are second guessing.
Cause of nine there's one life left to go.
This time you won't need to worry at all
Cause this is your surefire shot, don't miss.
Under the gun, but for once on the other side of it.
Taking now what you want.
It's your surefire shot, don't miss
Under the gun, but for once you're a force to be reckoned with.
Taking now what you want and it's yours.
Knocked down the odds stacked against you.
Before you sound off that surrender,
Size up the forces against you
Before you drop down to your knees.
Believe me, I can say with certainty.
Cause this is your surefire shot, don't miss.
Under the gun, but for once on the other side of it.
Taking now what you want.
It's your surefire shot, don't miss
Under the gun, but for once you're a force to be reckoned with.
Taking now what you want (believe me)
