Kuta is administratively a district (kecamatan) and subdistrict/village (kelurahan) in southern Bali, Indonesia. A former fishing village, it was one of the first towns on Bali to see substantial tourist development, and as a beach resort remains one of Indonesia's major tourist destinations. It is known internationally for its long sandy beach, varied accommodation, many restaurants and bars, and many renowned surfers who visit from Australia. It is located near Bali's Ngurah Rai Airport.
Kuta was the site of the October 12, 2002 1st Bali bombing (202 killed) and the October 1, 2005 2nd Bali bombing (26 killed).
The Balinese Provincial Government have taken the view that the preservation of the Balinese culture, natural resources and wildlife are of primary importance in the development of the island. To this end they have limited tourist development to the peninsula on the extreme southern aspect of the island; Kuta beach is on the western side of this peninsula and Sanur is on the east. To the north of the peninsula no new tourist development is supposedly permitted.[citation needed].

Aussie Expats in Bali, Travel Video Guide
I plan on filming a night out in the Kuta Beach tourism precinct but instead meet some Australians running a local bar and settle in to learn about visa requirements for expats. Australians over 65 get a special 12 month visa which means many stay in Bali in order to stretch the value of their pensions. I also film the common Kuta species, Australis Drunkis Yobbois, which flys to bali from Australia in large packs in the summer months. It is known for it's loud call and colorful tattoo plumage. Pesisir pantainya masih asri, walaupun masih ada sampah dedaunan yang masih berserakan karena jarang dibersihkan. Pemandangan bawah lautnya sangat indah, dan wisatawan bisa melakukan snorkeling sepuasnya karena ombaknya tidak terlalu besar. Terumbu karangnya menjulang ketengah menyebabkan ombak besarnya pecah di tengah. Tersedia juga hotel-hotel dengan harga yang bervariasi, dari yang mahal sampai hotel yang berharga ekonomis. Pariwisata Lombok bukan hanya mengandalkan Gunung Rinjani saja tetapi juga ada sejumlah pantai yang terbentang disepanjang pulau Lombok. Kawasan pantai Senggigi selalu ramai oleh turis, baik yang sedang berenang dipinggiran pantai maupun yang sedang berjalan-jalan menyusuri kawasan pantai atau dengan menggunakan perahu sewaan.
Pantai ini jaraknya ya sekitar 6 km dari Bandara Selaparang, Mataram. Kawasan pantai sudah dilengkapi berbagai fasilitas seperti penginapan, tempat hiburan, hingga pasar seni yang menjual aneka barang seni produk lokal. Malam hari biasanya diadakan pertubjukan tari tradisional ditempat terbuka. Banyak wisatawan manca negara terpesona oleh wisata lombok, selain pantainya yang berombak tenang dengan panorama yang indah, juga karena keindahan taman laut di Lombok. Keindahan wisata di Lombok selain dipantai Senggigi adalah kawanan pulau kecil yang terdiri dari Gili Air, Gili Meno, Gili Trawangan, pulau-pulau kecil ini terletak di sebelah barat laut pulau Lombok.
Wisata Kuliner di Pulau lombok
Dari wisata kuliner tradisional Lombok, kami tak lupa menyantap masakan bercitarasa internasional atau dari daerah lainnya. Maka sembari menikmati romantisme matahari terbenam di Pura Batu Bolong Senggigi, kami jalan kaki menyusuri pantai ke arah Cafe Alberto.
Sebuah resto dan cafe yang memiliki outdoor setting. Di mana kursi-kursi dan meja-meja makan diletakkan di bibir pantai, seperti di Jimbaran Bay, Bali. Dilengkapi lilin yang berpendar lembut. Kami menikmati fruit punch sembari memandang langit jingga pelan-pelan berganti warna menjadi biru pekat dan gelap.
Resto ini memiliki sajian eccletic serta beberapa menu nasional dan menitikberatkan sajian pada pizza yang dimasak pakai oven berbahan bakar kayu. Pilihan kami jatuh pada paket bebek goreng dengan nasi.
Di kesempatan dinner lainnya, kami bertandang ke Lotus Restaurant. Sebuah tempat makan yang membuat kami selalu ingin datang kembali, setiap kali berkunjung ke Lombok. Dengan setting menghadap bibir pantai, interior resto ini senada dengan chain Lotus Restaurant yang ada di Ubud. Baik di kawasan Monkey Forest maupun Jalan Raya, yang berlokasi dekat Pura Saraswati.
Meja ditutup dengan ubin keramik bergambar teratai dan daunnya serta seekor kodok. Sementara wadah lilin dan vas bunganya melukiskan kelopak-kelopak teratai. Resto ini juga memiliki chain di Singapura.
Sebagai appetizer, favorit kami adalah cheese samosa. Bentuknya tak beda dengan samosa berbentuk segitiga. Tapi isinya keju yang langsung lumer di lidah begitu digigit. Hidangan ini disajikan dengan saos chutney plum. Terbuat dari buah plum segar dicincang, yang dimasak dengan cabe merah dan gula hingga menghasilkan saos bertekstur kasar.

In 2011, a two-meter white sandstone fence, built in a Balinese architecture style, was built along the road to block the sand from blowing to the cafes and restaurants. The project costed Rp.4 billion ($0.47 million). Some tourists dislike it as it is considered blocking the beach view, while some others believe the wall help dampens the sounds from the congested traffic street. To make the beach cleaner, as of late August 2011, the vendors are prohibited to sell food at the Kuta Beach, but they are still allowed to sell beverages and souvenirs

products and had greater and greater influence giving work to more and more people and in the end, his
enterprise had a network over the whole island. Tourism started to gain ground only a century later. In
1936, two enterprising Americans were here. They got to love the coast of Kuta so much, that they soon
built a hotel. After them an avalanche began and many others built hotels here. Though, during World
War II and due to the Japanese invasion, tourism was interrupted. But since the end of the war,
development is unbroken due to Australian surfers and American world travelers.

I plan on filming a night out in the Kuta Beach tourism precinct but instead meet some Australians running a local bar and settle in to learn about visa requirements for expats. Australians over 65 get a special 12 month visa which means many stay in Bali in order to stretch the value of their pensions.
I also film the common Kuta species, Australis Drunkis Yobbois, which flys to bali from Australia in large packs in the summer months. It is known for it's loud call and colorful tattoo plumage.

6) Indulge in Street Food
I can't think of a single nation in SE Asia where you can't devour amazing street food. In our travel video guide we showcase the Saturday Night Market in Chaing Mai where you can eat Thai and International street food delights without shelling out too much Baht.
7) Explore a Mega Alpha City
There are many mega cities in SE Asia worth exploring from Kuala Lumpur to Saigon and Bangkok to Hanoi; however, no city in Southeast really compares with Singapore. Clean. Impossibly sterile.
