In this lecture, Nakpa Glenn will share some of the primordial wisdom car

GRAHAM HANCOCK is the author of the major international bestsellers The Sign and The Seal, Fingerprints of the Gods, and Heaven's Mirror. His books have sold more than five million copies worldwide and have been translated into 27 languages. His public lectures, radio and TV appearances, including two major TV series for Channel 4 in the UK and The Learning Channel in the US - Quest For The Lost Civilisation and Flooded Kingdoms of the Ice Age - have put his ideas before audiences of tens of millions. He has become recognised as an unconventional thinker who raises controversial questions about humanity's past.
Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, Hancock's early years were spent in India, where his father worked as a surgeon. Later he went to school and university in the northern English city of Durham and graduated from Durham University in 1973 with First Class Honours in Sociology. He went on to pursue a career in quality journalism, writing for many of Britain's leading newspapers including The Times, The Sunday Times, The Independent, and The Guardian. He was co-editor of New Internationalist magazine from 1976-1979 and East Africa correspondent of The Economist from 1981-1983.
In the early 1980's Hancock's writing began to move consistently in the direction of books. His first book (Journey Through Pakistan, with photographers Mohamed Amin and Duncan Willetts) was published in 1981. It was followed by Under Ethiopian Skies (1983), co-authored with Richard Pankhurst and photographed by Duncan Willets , Ethiopia: The Challenge of Hunger (1984), and AIDS: The Deadly Epidemic (1986) co-authored with Enver Carim. In 1987 Hancock began work on his widely-acclaimed critique of foreign aid, Lords of Poverty, which was published in 1989. African Ark (with photographers Angela Fisher and Carol Beckwith) was published in 1990.
Hancock's breakthrough to bestseller status came in 1992 with the publication of The Sign and The Seal, his epic investigation into the mystique and whereabouts today of the lost Ark of the Covenant. 'Hancock has invented a new genre,' commented The Guardian, 'an intellectual whodunit by a do-it-yourself sleuth.' Fingerprints of the Gods, published in 1995 confirmed Hancock's growing reputation. Described as 'one of the intellectual landmarks of the decade' by the Literary Review, this book has now sold more than three million copies and continues to be in demand all around the world. Subsequent works such as Keeper Of Genesis (The Message of the Sphinx in the US) with co-author Robert Bauval, and Heaven's Mirror, with photographer Santha Faiia, have also been Number 1 bestsellers, the latter accompanied by Hancock's three-part television series Quest For the Lost Civilisation.
In 2002 Hancock published Underworld: Flooded Kingdoms of the Ice Age to great critical acclaim, and hosted the accompanying major TV series. This was the culmination of years of research and on-hand dives at ancient underwater ruins. Arguing that many of the clues to the origin of civilization lay underwater, on coastal regions once above water but flooded at the end of the last Ice age, Underworld offered tangible archaeological evidence that myths and legends of ancient floods were not to be dismissed out of hand.
Graham's next venture Talisman: Sacred Cities, Secret Faith, co-authored by Robert Bauval, was published in 2004. This work, a decade in preparation, returns to the themes last dealt with in Keeper Of Genesis, seeking further evidence for the continuation of a secret astronomical cult into modern times. It is a roller-coaster intellectual journey through the back streets and rat runs of history to uncover the traces in architecture and monuments of a secret religion that has shaped the world.
In 2005 Graham published Supernatural: Meetings with The Ancient Teachers of Mankind, an investigation of shamanism and the origins of religion. This controversial book suggests that experiences in altered states of consciousness have played a fundamental role in the evolution of human culture, and that other realities - indeed parallel worlds - surround us all the time but are not normally accessible to our senses.

'The Shaman's Last Apprentice' is a narrative documentary focusing on the story of Rebekah Shaman, who in 1997 followed a vision she received from a Shaman calling her to the Amazon, where she found and studied intensively with a powerful Ayahuasquero Shaman in a little village nestled in a remote corner of the Amazon rainforest. Now she tells of her unique story working with the Shaman and Ayahuasca to connect with Mother Earth.
What follows is a warning from the Shaman to the West that we urgently need to change our relationship with each other, and with mother Earth.
Only when we understand how vital each one of us is to the future unfolding of this planetary story, can we find the courage to let go of the fear, evolve consciously, and step into our own power so we can be the change.
Directed and Produced by: Alexander Ward
Featuring: Rebekah Shaman
Runtime: 32:53

Ayahuasca and Amazonian Shamanism
An informative and compelling exploration of Shamanic use of Ayahuasca, the extraordinary visionary brew. - Rick Strassman MD, author DMT: The Spirit Molecule
Human Future will be designed on how conscious we will be able to make ourselves and if there are plants that can accelerate consciousness then we must seek out and utilize these things. Something could jump out of some unexpected dimension and change everything. - Terrence McKenna
Shamans of the Amazon by Dean Jefferys is one of the best documentaries available on the use of ayahuasca in contemporary context, in traditional cultures that are being destabilized by the forces of globalization. As Jefferys' documentary makes clear, the revival of traditional shamanic practices with ayahuasca is proving to be a potent political and propaganda tool for reaffirming and preserving cultural values and identity in indigenous societies that are buffeted by environmental, economic, and societal forces beyond their control. - Dennis McKenna PhD, co-author The Invisible Landscape
In a time when indigenous people, their culture and the natural environment are experiencing dramatic changes, this in-depth series of programs examine what these SHAMANS OF THE AMAZON, their hallucinogenic rituals and their special relationship with nature have to offer humanity at this crucial time in history. Discover how westerners around the world are using Ayahuasca and other Shamanic plants to receive knowledge, to understand their relationship with nature and to seek visions of how best to deal with deep personal, spiritual and environmental questions. In a say no to drugs era, there is a new subculture emerging, based on an ancient ritual of hallucinogenic plant use.
Ayahuasca is an Amazonian plant mixture that is capable of inducing altered states of consciousness, usually lasting between 4 to 8 hours after ingestion. Ranging from mildly stimulating to extremely visionary, ayahuasca is used primarily as a medicine and as a shamanic means of communication, typically in a ceremonial session under the guidance of an experienced drinker.
The main ingredient of this jungle tea is a vine, Banisteriopsis caapi, which like the tea itself is also called ayahuasca (which means ‘vine of the soul' or 'vine with a soul’). The secondary ingredient is either chacruna (Psychotria viridis) or chagropanga (Diplopterys cabrerana), plants that contain a relatively high amount of the psychedelic substance DMT.
Nobody knows for sure how long this drink has been used. First recorded Western contact with ayahuasca was made in 1851 by Richard Spruce, the famous ethnobotanist from England. When taking into account archeological evidence of comparable native plant use, it seems likely that its use dates back to at least two millennia ago.
Ayahuasca induces a psychedelic, visionary state of mind and this effect is employed by various people for various reasons.
Shamans or medicine men take ayahuasca to communicate with nature or to see what is causing a patient’s illness on a spiritual level. In Brazil several religions can be found that pivot around gatherings where ayahuasca is taken by all participants. Drinking ayahuasca and singing together takes them into a healing and inspiring kind of trance.
In the past few decades ayahuasca is slowly gaining interest from Western society as well. Not only academic researchers in the field of psychotherapy have shown an increased interest. Psychonauts, i.e. people who practice responsible and conscious use of mind-altering substances, use ayahuasca to confront themselves with the richness of the mind, the infinity of the universe, and their deepest fears, so as to experience ecstasy resulting from facing and overcoming these fears.
One effect of ayahuasca is that it makes a lot of people vomit and many drinkers get diarrhea. One tribe calls ayahuasca 'kamarampi', which stems from 'kamarank': to vomit. It is also called ‘la purga’, as it purges the body through this physical effect, and purifies the mind through the meaningful psychological experiences or visions. You usually feel totally refreshed and reborn after a strong experience.
Although not unique to ayahuasca, there are many fascinating reports about people who have been healed from comprehensive problems, like addiction or depression, during one or more sessions. This, however, can also be achieved using LSD, psilocybin mushrooms, iboga, other psychedelics or various breathing and meditation techniques, and always involves heavy psychological work.
Ayahuasca is not a miracle cure in the sense that you drink the brew and all your troubles have vanished within a couple of hours. It is a miracle cure though, in the sense that it brings unconscious and seemingly other-worldly processes to surface, which enables you to work with it while the effects last.

Shamanic Retreats, Shamanism & Ayahuasca - Important Advice Before Going To Peru

Shamanic Retreats & Shamanism - After my journey with shamanic work & my deepest healing, drinking Ayahuasca almost weekly for over a year... I filmed this video from the beautiful jungles of Peru to help anybody and everbody who is called to Ayahuasca, healing or shamanism.
My name is Trinity de Guzman and I've been sitting with this sacred plant medicine of Ayahuasca on an almost weekly basis since March, 2013. I've never experienced anything that's changed my life so deeply, so quickly... so I've dedicated my life to sharing this medicine with the world, and more importantly, to serve you in your Awakening.
I truly believe that Ayahuasca is coming into the 'modern' world just like yoga & meditation have, to bring us back to our Truth, remind us of Who We Really Are, and help us remember the true power of Stillness. Being. Bring us back to the Truth of our Essence as Divine.
No words can ever fully describe this to you, or tell you Who You Really Are, it's something that can only be experienced for itself, and instead of 10 years with meditation, to maybe get that experience of coming back to your Divine Source, the Absolute of Existence. Pure Consciousness. To come back to that, there's this sacred medicine that's come from the Amazon of Peru: Ayahuasca. It's also found in the Amazon of Ecuador, Venezuela, Brazil and Colombia, where it's known as Yage - to bring us back to our Truth, in a single night.
It's not always true that in your first ayahuasca ceremony, you'll get to this depth of Connection with Who You Really Are... but what you're doing is cleaning up. All of the garbage, limiting beliefs, "I can't do that" "I don't deserve it" and the underlying belief of not being worthy... all the unsupporting values we've learned from society, and everything that is in the way of us living our Truth - that is what you're cleaning up. There are all these beliefs and programs that stop us from living our Highest Truth, and what this medicine of ayahuasca does is help you clean up all of it, see illusion for illusion, and truth as truth... see the unconscious fears and self-sabatoge programs holding you back, and give you exactly what you need, wherever you're at in your journey.
But I'll tell you now, it's not easy. Anything really worth it never is, but it's your choice. What's more important? Healing what stops you from living as the greatest being you can? Or letting past programs live your life for you, letting old beliefs keep you playing small and holding you back from your greatness?
Ayahuasca, healing, and this path of coming back to Your Highest Truth, isn't easy, and I really believe ayahuasca is only for the people who are serious about their inner work. It's not a 'drug' or something you do 'just to try it'. Check in with yourself. Only if your intention is to do real healing, and you're truly ready to let go of the things that have been keeping you small, is Ayahuasca for you. This is my sincere genuine belief, and I'll even say if you're not serious about that, going to an ayahuasca ceremony may do you more damage than harm.
Feel into your own guidance before taking the path of sitting with ayahuasca or doing any sort of healing or spiritual retreats. You are your own Master, your own Guru, Spirit manifested, and only you can know what is best for you. My only advice is to trust your intuition, and follow that, no matter what that is, and no matter what that means. That's the only path to the greatest life you can live, and to enjoying all that's most important to you.
Thank you so much for watching this video & my views on Ayahuasca, I'm so grateful to be able to share with you and to be able to help spread this incredible medicine with the world. I keep saying it because I keep thinking it: I've never seen anything help so many people, so deeply, and I feel like it's my duty to share this with our world, during a time when we need it most.
We Are Waking Up. It's not easy, and we're going through an experience where all of our unconscious patterns and unsupportive ways of being, thinking and acting, are being shown to us, so we can clean them up. So we don't keep living them, re-charging them, or pass them on to the next generation. This time is known as The Great Awakening, and we as human beings are waking up to our Divine Nature and Truth. It's happening, and you're most definitely not alone. What you're going through is what so many of us have chosen to go through, and I understand how difficult it could be at times...
Breathe. Be kind during these times. Stay present and in the heart. And most importantly, Love. That's the only way we'll make it out of this. For ourselves, and the whole. And to paradise on earth, in our own hearts, we return.
