(TI) is an American electronics company that designs and makes semiconductors, which it sells to electronics designers and manufacturers globally. Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, United States, TI is the third largest manufacturer of semiconductors worldwide after Intel and Samsung, the second largest supplier of chips for cellular handsets after Qualcomm, and the largest producer of digital signal processors (DSPs) and analog semiconductors, among a wide range of other semiconductor products, including calculators, microcontrollers and multi-core processors. Texas Instruments is among the Top 20 Semiconductor producing companies in the world.
Texas Instruments was founded in 1951. It emerged after a reorganization of Geophysical Service, a company that manufactured equipment for use in the seismic industry as well as defense electronics. TI began research in transistors in the early 1950s and produced the world's first commercial silicon transistor. In 1954, Texas Instruments designed and manufactured the first transistor radio and Jack Kilby invented the integrated circuit in 1958 while working at TI's Central Research Labs. The company produced the first integrated circuit-based computer for the U.S. Air Force in 1961. TI researched infrared technology in the late 1950s and later made radar systems as well as guidance and control systems for both missiles and bombs. The hand-held calculator was introduced to the world by TI in 1967.
Texas /ˈtɛksəs/ (Spanish: Texas or Tejas [ˈtexas]) is a state in the United States of America. It is the second most populous and second largest state by area in the US. Geographically located in the south central part of the country, Texas shares an international border with Mexico to the south and borders the states of New Mexico to the west, Oklahoma to the north, Arkansas to the northeast, and Louisiana to the east. Texas has an area of 268,820 square miles (696,200 km2) and a growing population of over 27.5 million residents (July 2015).
Houston is the largest city in Texas and the fourth-largest in the United States, while San Antonio is the second largest in the state and seventh largest in the United States. Dallas–Fort Worth and Greater Houston are the fourth and fifth largest United States metropolitan statistical areas, respectively. Other major cities include Austin (the state capital) and El Paso. Texas is nicknamed the Lone Star State to signify Texas as a former independent republic, and as a reminder of the state's struggle for independence from Mexico. The "Lone Star" can be found on the Texan state flag and on the Texan state seal. The origin of the state name, Texas, is from the word, "Tejas", which means 'friends' in the Caddo language.

Milton Bradley (November 8, 1836 – May 30, 1911) was an American business magnate, game pioneer and publisher, credited by many with launching the board game industry in North America, which was inspired by European origin with, Milton Bradley Company.
Born in Vienna, Maine in 1836, to Lewis and Fannie (Lyford) Bradley. Bradley grew up in a working-class household in Lowell, Massachusetts after the family moved there in 1847. After completing high school in 1854 he found work as a draftsman and patent agent before enrolling at the Lawrence Scientific School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He was unable to finish his studies after moving with his family to Hartford, Connecticut, where he could not find gainful employment. In 1856, he left home and got a job in the locomotive works of the Blanchard & Kimball (later Bemis & Company) in Springfield, Massachusetts.
After the company was shuttered during the recession of 1858, he entered business for himself as a mechanical draftsman and patent agent. In 1859, Bradley went to Providence, Rhode Island to learn lithography and in 1860, he set up the first color lithography shop in Springfield, Massachusetts. He moved forward with an idea he had for a board game which he called The Checkered Game of Life, an early version of what later became The Game of Life.
The Texas TI-99/4A was launched in 1981 in the American markets, following shortly after worldwide, and was the successor to the TI-99/4. It boasted a new, more functional keyboard over it's predecessor and a new lower case mode, with the previous offering only capable of upper case characters. In the 2nd part of our look at Jack Tramiel, two more brilliant engineers help to create the Commodore 64, the company's most successful computer. Commodore and Texas Instruments engage in a brutal and bloody price war. Jack ends up getting on the wrong side of Irving Gould for the last time...and we have a bit of a look at the big American crash - the games had already happened, and now it was the computer's turn. Preview of my demo remake of Super Mario Bros for the TI-99/4A (1980's home computer) with the F18A video board installed. The demo is hand coded in TMS9900 assembly without use of the original NES source code. Only World 1-1 has been implemented. The F18A video board is a close match to the NES PPU in many respects, but also includes a second tile layer that becomes visible when I turn on the background. Sorry for the video quality. I don't have a VGA frame grabber or even a tripod for the camera, but I wanted to show this demo on the real hardware. We took an original TI-99/4A computer (http://bit.ly/TI-99-4A) and turned it into a RaspberryPi-powered emulation machine. Watch our video to see how! Below are some links and notes mentioned in the video. The RetroPie Project (http://bit.ly/RetroPie). This Raspbian-based distro is a fairly comprehensive emulator collection. Relatively easy to setup and quite robust. Keyboard Conversion (http://bit.ly/TI-USB-Keyboard). We used Matthew Epler's method of converting the TI's original keyboard into a USB keyboard. He used a Teensy++ 2.0 and wrote some great code for that (http://bit.ly/raspTI-keyboard-code). We wanted to save a few bucks, so we used the standard Teensy 2.0 and modified his code a little to suit our needs (code to be posted soon). Teensy (http://bit.ly/teensy-usb). This is...

The TI-99/4A was a very popular home computer in the early '80s, but was quickly forgotten after TI discontinued it in 1984. That's a shame, because it has good graphics and sound (including an add-on voice synthesizer), and has many fun games. The systems and cartridges are easy to find and relatively cheap, making it a good choice for adding to (or starting) your collection of vintage computers and video games.
This is me playing the game of Parsec on the TI 99 4/A. This was a Texas Instrument's original video game and was very popular at the time.
Texas Instruments Travel Mate 4000 WinDX2 Color 486dx2/40 Megahertz Portable Laptop Workstation. I remember my Dad bringing this thing home in the early 90's and thinking it was the coolest thing ever! This was the internet TV of it's day! I used Texas Instruments calculators through college and think it is hilarious that they made Laptops. As you can see it still fires right up (see part 2 for more).

So why you, bound to fuck wit fake guys too
Aint nothin' hard about it why you lookin sad? Shoulda though about it
Say you learned, I truly doubt it
I guess you got a problem with affection, kinda loose with the love
Gettin freaky with the thug niggaz up in the club
Ask to buy you a drink, you holla Dom Perignon
Knowin I'm a cash getter still I, remain calm
Let you chill with me; plus you was smilin 'til the bill miss me
That's what you get for tryin to dick me
Missed me with that "Buy me this, buy me that" syndrome shit
Bitch get a job if you wanna be rich
Gettin mad cause I cursed and I scream I hate'cha
Introduced you to a nigga nature, feel me?
[Chorus: Lil' Mo]
Kissed the girls, made them cry
Thuggin life, and gettin high
Why you gangsta, all the time?
That's a thug's nature
Though sometimes, I can deal with it
I realize, that I'm feelin it
It's a love and hate relationship
but that's a thug's nature
[add to line four of Chorus first time:] "That's a nigga nature"
[2Pac]
I'm probably too nice at first, I let you kiss me where it hurts
Me and you gettin busy, slingin dick in the dirt
Met you at a pool party it was cool to kick it
See us, tounge-kissin, you was truly with it
Little ecstacy, Hennesey, mix with me
Picture me pay for pussy when the dick's for free
Hey now, where my niggaz at? Tell these hoes
Before I pay; I jerk off, word to Moses
Visions of you sittin there sweaty and wet
Pointin to the places that you want me to hit
Give me room all up in the womb, call the cops
Nigga, hittin walls 'til them bastard drop
Label me Makaveli - thug nigga with bite
Livin life like a rock star's Friday night
Make money, get pussy, always keep a pager
Cell phone in the ride to complete my nature now!
[Chorus]
[2Pac]
Haha.. started as a seed from the semen; straight outta papa's nuts
Lustin for creamin - bitches with big butts
Curves make a nigga cry, tits and shit
When I'm locked down beggin you for porno flicks
Sneak weed in, help a nigga pass the time
Put my name tattoo'd so that ass is mine
Tell everybody; 'Pac put it down for good
A local legend through the whole hood, follow me
I got a gun on me, goin for none on the run baby
You know a nigga need some, is my son crazy?
Why I cry, when I be thuggin til I die
Picture a nigga in heaven, high off weed I fly
Got me missin dead homies wishin phonies would die
Hit the weed and hope it get me high; dear God
Understand my ways, livin major
Blessed with a thug's heart.. and a real live nigga nature
[Chorus]
[add to line four of Chorus:] "That's a nigga nature"
[add to line eight of Chorus:] "Cause that's a nigga nature"
[Chorus]
[add to line four of Chorus:] "Hey, just be a nigga nature"
[add to line eight of Chorus:] "Cause that's a nigga nature"
