Dizzy Dean was a famous baseball player and radio personality who frequented Durant's restaurant. Jon Gries (known for his iconic role in Napoleon Dynamite as Uncle Rico) plays Dizzy Dean in our film and steals every scene he's in.
Durant's Never Closes is scheduled for theatrical release January 22nd, 2016 at Harkins Shea 14 in Scottsdale, Arizona and will play select cities after that.

Jonathan Francis "Jon" Gries (born June 17, 1957) is an American actor, writer and director. He is also credited under the names Jon Francis and Jonathan Gries. He is known for his role in Napoleon Dynamite as Uncle Rico, and more recently as recurring character Roger Linus on Lost. He is also known for his roles in Martin and The Pretender.
Gries was born in Glendale, California, the son of Tom Gries, a writer, director, and producer. His first film role came at the age of 11, when he played the Boy Horace in the Charlton Heston film Will Penny. Some of his signature roles have come in cult classics. He played Lazlo Hollyfeld in Real Genius (1985), Shawn McDermott in the TV series Martin (1992-1994), Ronnie Wingate in Get Shorty (1995), Harvey in The Rundown, and Uncle Rico in Napoleon Dynamite (2004). Gries has played a werewolf on several occasions, such as Fright Night Part II and The Monster Squad. In the historical Western film September Dawn, he played executed murderer John D. Lee, in a performance praised by critics who otherwise panned the film. His most recent role was as Casey in the film Taken released in 2008 in Europe, and 2009 in the US. He was also in TerrorVision as O.D. He will also be appearing in the 2012 summer movie Noobz

A beautiful young woman like Samaire Armstrong should have a lot of great character opportunities as her career rolls along. Maybe one of them will come from two of her latest jobs, starting with the film Around June, in which she plays the daughter of an abusive father portrayed by Jon Gries. Gries -- who you'll remember as "Uncle Rico" from the Napoleon Dynamite movie and cartoon series -- is a menace to behold. But Samaire, as June, has had enough and we see her finally fight back against her father, declaring she won't be pushed around anymore.
Samaire also just shot a new movie tentatively called Adopting Terror with actor Sean Astin, who starred in Lord of the Rings.
You might also have noticed Samaire in multiple episodes of the CBS drama "The Mentalist" this season as Summer Edgecomb, sort of a hooker with a heart -- and a personal interest in Detective Cho.

Hunters from Outwest Farms located in Okeechobee, Florida have posted an image showing a massive, near 15-foot, 780 pound alligator they found and killed. According to CNN, the huge reptile was discovered on Saturday on one of the ponds located on a private ranch owned by Outwest Farms owner Lee Lightsey ... They were surprised when they came across this huge alligator instead ... I hate seeing a beautiful dinosaur like that killed.???? #RIP....
