Kuele by FlamenKhoi melds the rhythmic art of flamenco with the ancient traditions of the Tswana and the Khoi San that takes you on a journey imbued with the elements of nature. The story is set in the Kalahari desert, where three wanderers, three nomads, come together, each containing a spiritual concept within. They summon the elements; Earth, Wind, Fire and Water through the music, song and dance rituals to the point of replenishment through trance. These passionate artists have joined African and European traditions in a performance that is both exciting and evolutionary; it is an evolving new dance vocabulary which fuses the innate universal human elements found in dance throughout the world. The merging of these forms explores the similarities between people and cultures, fostering a greater understanding and awareness of the sameness of universal rhythm.

Jonathan Pienaar (born 16 September 1962) is a South African writer, actor, voice-over artist and comedian who has been active for over 20 years. He has appeared in numerous South African and international films and television shows including Blood Diamond, Crusoe, and Wild At Heart.

Jonathan Freeman-Attwood
Professor Jonathan Freeman-Attwood is the 14th Principal of the Royal Academy of Music in London, and was appointed in 2008. Alongside his commitment to education, he is also writer, recording producer, broadcaster and freelance trumpet player.
He read music at the University of Toronto and graduated with First Class Honours before embarking on research at Christ Church, Oxford. He served for thirteen years as Vice-Principal & Director of Studies at the Royal Academy of Music under his predecessor Sir Curtis Price after a period as Dean of Undergraduate Studies between 1991-5 when he was responsible for launching the first Bachelor of Music performance degree in the sector, with King's College London, and under the aegis of the Centre of Advanced Performance Studies.
