Then, you must repent of your sins. What is repentance? Basically, you are apologizing to God for breaking his rules and regulations. Where are you able to find his rules and regulations? In the Bible. This is an example of how you would repent: "God, please forgive me for all the things that I have done. I really don't want to sin anymore, please help me." All you have to do is verbally say the phrase above. It may feel strange to talk when no one is there. God is hearing everything you say and do even if you aren't repenting or praying to him. As I replied earlier, you can say the repentance prayer that I have written above. You can make your own variation when you repent. As long as you are asking God for forgiveness. We have to show God that we acknowledge that we have broken God's rules and regulations. The next step to this, is to ask God for forgiveness. 1 John 1:9 King James Version (KJV) 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. {MEDIA AND COMPANY} You have to be extremely careful with music, movies, TV series, friends, family members, acquaintances, people, and any other entertainment source. When it comes down to entertainment sources: music, movies, and TV series. Make sure you aren't watching or listening to anything immoral. What do I mean by immoral? Anything to do with excessive/graphic sex scenes or language, excessive vulgar language, homosexuality, criticizes God and/or Jesus Christ, crude jokes, any ideology that tries to falsify the existence of God and his doctrine. I am trying to be as descriptive as possible. When it comes down to people: friends, family members, acquaintances, etc... Make sure that you aren't hanging around anyone who are acting immoral. I previously explained to you what I meant by immoral. Peer pressure is extremely strong. Even if you think that you are a strong individual, everyone is influenced by something or someone. You must remember, we are in a spiritual war. As long as you are staying away from the things I warned you about, maintaining your salvation will be much more simple. We make our lives harder than what they should be. So if you are constantly falling back into sin, I guarantee you, you are entertaining yourself with sinful things. So it is not a surprise. Keep in mind, nothing is ever a coincidence. Everything happens for a reason. Once you understand this, your "eyes will be opened." {SEEKING GOD} What should you do now? You need to go to church, pray, fast, and read the Bible more often. Why should you do these things? Spiritual growth. You are either elevating, declining, or being stagnant. If you are being stagnant or declining, this is the reason why you are falling into sin so often. If you are not entertaining yourself with Godly things, you will be entertaining yourself with things of this world. If you are entertaining yourself with things of this world, you will most certainly fall back into sin. How do you pray? Let me ask you a question. How do you have a conversation? Praying is the same thing as having a conversation with God. Please don't overthink it. It is much more simple than what you think. Before you pray, make sure you have repented of your sins before you pray. God will hear your prayer, but he won't consider it if you are still in sin. John 9:31 King James Version (KJV) 31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth. Talk to him as if he is a human being. It is real simple. Just an average conversation, that's all it takes. What is fasting? Sometimes when you are having a lot of trouble staying out of sin, you may need to fast for God. How do you accomplish this? When you fast, you aren't eating or drinking anything for a particular time period. Some people fast for one day, three days, one week, two weeks, etc... It depends on you personally. On average, I believe people fast for at least 3 days. What does fasting accomplish? It will drain your desire to disobey God. It will also get rid of strong demons that are possessing, oppressing or influencing you. If you have to, you should fast regularly. While you are fasting, you need to pray, go to church, and read your Bible. Does any of this make any sense?
