Plot: Young and beautiful Rajeshwari is the priestess of Devi Maa Durga's temple in a small village in Southern India. She is well-known and respected by everyone in the region, including Mohan Dholakia, who plays the drum, and is treated as her brother. She is blessed by Devi Maa and can walk n bed of nails without coming to any harm while the villagers all take turns to feed Rajeshwari and Mohan. Every night she journeys with a fire-lit torch to light up a small temple of Nagraj. During one of her journeys, she meets with the new Forest Officer Shankar and both fall in love. Mohan wants them to get married and accordingly a date on the 15th of the month is fixed for the marriage. Unfortunately, the 15th is the day that Devi Maa Durga assumes the form of Devi Maa Kali to slay demons and sinners. Shortly thereafter, Rajeshwari's body is found, torn apart by a tiger. When Mohan goes to light her funeral pyre, the body appears to come alive, and Mohan is told that Rajeshwari's soul is unhappy and not at peace. The villagers fear going near the temple, as word spreads that the Devi Maa has killed one of her closest devotees. Fearing they will suffer the same fate, residents start to move out of the village, and the temple is shut down. Amidst this fear and chaos, a warlock named Kalicharan is ready to assume the shape of a fearsome demon to locate the gold and jewelery that are buried near the temple. The question does remain, did Devi Maa Durga, the Protector, really kill her devotee?

Plot: Gauri and Prakash are in love and get intimate. Their ways are separate, and Prakash must marry Renuka, as she meets his family's approval. Gauri gets pregnant as a result of this intimacy, gets ill, and is hospitalized. It is here that the truth surfaces about Gauri and Prakash, as details are revealed of their past birth, in which they were lovers - Gangadhar Upadhyay, and Gauri, and Kalavati (presently Renuka). During this previous birth too, Gauri gets pregnant, gets ill, and passes away, because of Kalavati's interference. The child in her womb does not survive, and as a result Gangadhar also gets killed. In this birth, the only way Prakash can survive is after someone who loves him sacrifices their life for him. And that person cannot be Gauri, as her death will leave to the death of the child in her womb, and subsequently to Prakash's death. Renuka is now prepared to kill Gauri so she can get Prakash all to herself.

Bhagwan Parshuram (1970)

Plot: Before Bhagwan Vishnu took an avatar (reincarnation) as Bhagwan Shri Ram, he was Bhagwan Parshuram, a revered sage, who undertook upon himself to stop all warriors and war, if force by necessary. This story depicts the birth of Parshuram, in the home of a sage, and his wife, Reunka. Together they give birth to five sons, with Parshuram being one of them. Their household and Ashram is home to the weary and the hungry, and their provider is Kamdhenu, a cow who is blessed to bestow and fulfill any wish by Renuka. One day the land's Samrat himself attends, and has a feast through Kamdhenu. After the feast the arrogant Samrat wants to buy Kamdhenu, but Renuka will not part with the cow for any amount. The Samrat returns home, angry and swears to avenge this humiliation. The sage is upset with Renuka and suspects her fidelity, and calls upon his sons to behead her. None of the sons is able to carry out this task, but Parshuram does so, thus proving that duty comes before everyone. Bhagwan Shiv is impressed with this, and asks the Sage to restore the life of his wife and his sons, which he does. Parshuram, now armed with an axe, goes on to complete the task his birth was for - to stop all wars. He meets with the Samrat's daughter, Gayetri, and both fall in love. This angers the Samrat, and in rage he kills Gayetri. Parshuram is enraged and strikes the Samrat dead, and carries on with his life of bringing peace on Earth. His next encounter with Gayetri will be when she is re-born as Sita, and is in the process of marrying Bhagwan Shri Ram, none other than another avtar of Bhagwan Vishnu

Plot: Prakash lives a fairly wealthy lifestyle in Bombay along with his widowed mother, and a sister, Renuka, who is soon to wed Dindayal, the only son of widower businessman Mukatlal. Before the wedding could be formalized, Prakash unexpectedly leaves, and the Police notify Mukatlal that his house has been broken into and diamonds worth Rs.8 Lakhs have been stolen. Mukatlal's servant informs them that he is able to identify Prakash as one of five of the culprits, the police launch a search for him, and the wedding gets canceled. Prakash returns home and informs his family and girlfriend, Shoba, that he has been framed, and sets out to try and convince Mukatlal also. Shortly thereafter, his mother will get the news that Mukatlal has been killed and the prime suspect is none other than her son.
