Eric Marlon Bishop (born December 13, 1967), professionally known as Jamie Foxx, is an American actor, singer-songwriter, rapper, stand-up comedian, and talk radio host who began playing the piano when he was five years old. As an actor, his work in the film Ray earned him the Academy Award and BAFTA Award for Best Actor as well as the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a musical/comedy. He is also a Grammy Award winning musician, producing three albums which have charted highly on the Billboard 200: Unpredictable, which topped the chart, Best Night of My Life and Intuition.
Born in Terrell, Texas, Foxx was raised by his mother's adoptive parents. He performed in high school and was awarded with a scholarship to United States International University. In his twenties, Foxx began performing stand-up at comedy clubs, and eventually joined the cast of In Living Color in 1991; this exposure helped him land film roles and star in his own sitcom, The Jamie Foxx Show. He released his debut album, Peep This, in 1994, but he did not gain significant musical success until 2004 when he was featured in Twista's song "Slow Jamz". Also in 2004, Foxx played critically acclaimed roles in the films Collateral and Ray. He released his second album, Unpredictable, in 2005, which was helped by his collaboration on Kanye West's number-one single "Gold Digger". His third album Intuition was released in 2008 and was anchored by the single "Blame It". Foxx released his fourth studio album, Best Night of My Life, in 2010.

I am in radio contact!
What kind of people are we?
I am in radio contact!
What kind of people are we?
I am in radio contact!
So I dreamed we were somewhere
And everything you said was real
And everything I said was right
That we don't have to fear the night
Then I'm in light and I still find
That when we look around
We still feel
Like we're running out of time
And there is nothing left for us to try
We stay together now
When all the signals say we should move on from here
But I don't think it's coincidence
And I don't believe in accidents
It's time to ask ourselves
Why are we still here
Why are we still here
What kind of people are we?
I am in radio contact!
Come back down and we still find
That all our waking fears
Are around us and
Shining in our eyes
They are blinding out the skies
Something still you don't give me
Something that just won't break
You sit there
Silent in your place
And try to see your face
Why do we still try
When all our time is spent in holding on to hope
But I don't think it's coincidence
And I don't believe in accidents
It's time to ask ourselves
Why are we still here
Why are we still here
What kind of people are we?
What kind of people are we?
I am in radio contact!
Why are we still here
Why are we still here
Why are we still here
Why are we still here
I don't think it's coincidence
And I don't believe in accidents
It's time to ask ourselves
They promised us, that we are safe
But why do I see, bodies of my children
COld steel in my mouth, enemies raping my corpse
Those four empty eyes, asking what is this
...Still Here...
You left us here
Told us we were safe
Why must we pay
For those empty lies
Our bodies do not bleed
We are cold as ice
Why are we...
...still here?
Death came with bullets, but left use here
Do we feel this coldness, all eternity
Our bodies were taken a long time ago
Why this punishment, trapped in the dark
...Still Here...
All the others are gone
We are left in the dark
We are still here...
You hold tight to your tomorrow
Cuz there's no one here except yourself
I did not come to beg or borrow
Were you expecting someone else
And I will be there to soften your fall
And I will be there for the good of it all
I will not let you feel you've wasted all your time
And every day we have is one more day that you'll be mine
If my life is a flight and a crash in the sea
I'm still here but I can not speak the words
They say the rain will always follow
When you're lost inside yourself
The truth is not so easily swallowed
When you left me for someone else
And I will be there to soften your fall
And I will be there in the thick of it all
I will not let you feel you've wasted all your time
And every day we had was one more day that you were mine
If my life is a flight and a crash in the sea
I'm still here
Born with a heart defect
I am a father's son
One day I will be here
The next day I'll be gone
So could I steal a moment of your time
A dreamer's eyes are always open wide
I will not let you feel you've wasted all your time
And every day we have is one more day that you'll be mine
If my life is a flight and a crash in the sea
I'm still here
When you?ve gone I?m still here
Waiting for your call
I'm waiting patiently
When you?ve fired your last shot
You?ll come back for me
So this world has left you bare
I'm sorry I no longer care
I wonder who?ll be there for you
When I?m not?
Take your problems
Somewhere else
I could use some help myself
I wonder who?ll be there for you
When I?m not?
When you?ve gone I?m still here
I know you?ll come around
I?m waiting patiently
When you?ve tried all other ways
You?ll come back for me
Yeah, you?ll come back for me
So this world has left you bare
I'm sorry I no longer care
I wonder who?ll be there for you
When I?m not?
Take your problems
Somewhere else
I could use some help myself
I wonder who?ll be there for you
When I?m not?
So this world has left you bare
I'm sorry I no longer care
I wonder who?ll be there for you
When I?m not?
Take your problems
Somewhere else
I could use some help myself
I wonder who?ll be there for you
When I?m not?
I wonder who?ll be there for you
When I?m not?
I wonder who?ll be there for you
(music composed and arranged by Buratto, Messina, Lonobile, Cartasegna, Gianotti, Agate; words by Messina, Buratto, Lonobile)
This song is for all you,
Talkin'trash to what you never gonna do,
You all backstabbers which for
Interest would step over anyone,
Misleading people you betrayed me
All this shit must return back...
Now I know,
I can't trust you,
Try to look at me in the eyes,
Don't understand,
We're not like you,
try to look into the mirror
You say you don't give a damn,
Think you are smart, your success is false,
Your dreams will come crashing very soon,
soon, you'll see
Now you know,
You can't trust me,
Don't look right into my eyes,
You don't understand,
We're not like you,
Now we'll give you what you deserve
Your poison, your treason,
Are you satisfied?
Despite all these we are
Still here to give you all,
Your poison, your true lies,
Are you satisfied?
Despite all these we are
Still here to give you all
sometimes I'd detroy evreything sometimes I'd cry
[Verse 1 (Scarface)]
Up early in the morning,
waken by the sound of my cell phone,
Donny hathaway singing on the ringtone.
Was a homie that I went to school with,
tellin me life wasnt shit to fool with.
These young niggas steady dyin' over dumb shit,
fast money for your soul,
now your done with.
You hear the gun click.
[gunshot]
Blood stains on the walls and carpet,
pain and the hardships
of a father identifyin' his child
from a photo of the plan,
with his brains blown out now.
Lets rewind to where it all took place,
started off in math class early that day.
Hey! Its high school,
and everybodys tryin to earn a rep
and he gone gun shot a homie to death.
The impossible is happenin,
children are left to make decisions.
Do ya let 'em die or kill them urself?
[Chorus (Shateish)]
As I look at my life..
Remembering where ive been.
I may not have been here.
Cuda been in the gutter,
drowning in my tears.
I remember how hard it is on the block. (Yeahhhh)
Everytime you turn around somebody got shot..
Oooooh,
but im still here.
Im still here.
[Verse 2:]
Another homie got murdered in the dope house,
ass pocket full of money,
chillin' gettin' smoked out.
Two shots hit him in his face when he blast it,
frame pictured,
and its closed casket.
This is so tragic.
I see death on every block I turn,
its just not my turn.
Live the same lifestyle,
cash money to burn.
Weed blowin' steady slippin' in the darkest term.
When it feels like real life,
knowin' is next.
Rep to take it,
be the last left,
humble yourself.
In slow-mo you see your wholse life flashin'
that second from the beginning,
back to the end and that lesson
is nothin short of what a nigga expect.
Livin' life like this,
this is duly respect.
And I refuse to give debt.
[Chorus:]
[Verse 3:]
Yeah I remember,
we tatted are names on our arms for fun.
Writin rest in piece for the dead and gone.
Thats just me,
and I aint the one to stunt,
but seems like im losing somebody every other month.
Thats why I walk through the hood
tryin' talk to the hood,
but some niggas is lost in the hood.
and we blind to that fact,
that we actin' like they wanted us to act.
White man versus black.
Reason I aint vote for my iraqs 'cos I love 'em.
They gonna want him hanged after that.
In god we trust,
what? (what?)
Money or the life of a soldier
sent to die in the war in a fight,
that never should took place.
Mary K-K-K
used to be a great place (great place),
now I guess we save face (save face).
John McCain hates niggas, (hates niggas)
on Martin Lutha King day. (hahahahaha)
Go Figure.
[Chorus:]
Uh, yeah
Like a thief in the night
You came and took what was mine
I was willing, I wanted to give it
So far gone, so deep in it
Moving fast, my head was spinning
We became like two in one
There was no me without you baby
So intense it got so crazy!
I believe what you told me
I believe what you told me!
Every word, every word
I was holding on to them!
I believe what you told me
I believe what you sold me!
Every word, every word
I was holding on to that!
And you're still here, yes you're still here
And everything you said was true!
Everything you promised,
Everything you said would be
And you're still here, yes you're still here
And I always believed
Said you would give me the world
And you gave it all to me.
They said it was a big mistake
Get out now, before it's too late
I didn't care what anyone said
You and me went full steam ahead!
I don't regret the choice I made
Knew what I felt, I wasn't afraid
I know I had to risk it
No turning back too deep in it uh yea
I believe what you told me
I believe what you told me!
Every word, every word
I was holding on to them!
I believe what you told me
I believe what you sold me!
Every word, every word
I was holding on to them!
And you're still here, yes you're still here
And everything you said was true!
Everything you promised
Everything you said would be
And you're still here, yes you're still here
And I always believed
Said you’d give me the world
And you gave it all to me!
And you're still here, yes you're still here
And everything you said was true!
Everything you promised
Everything you said would be
And you're still here, yes you're still here
And I always believed
Said you’d give me the world
And you gave it all to me!
To me to me to me..
Gave it all to me
To me, oh to me
Said you’d give me the world
And you're still here, yes you're still here
And everything you said was true!
Everything you promised
Everything you said would be
And you're still here, yes you're still here
And I always believed
Said you’d give me the world
And you gave it all..
And you're still here, yes you're still here
And everything you said was true!
Everything you promised
Everything you said would be
And you're still here, yes you're still here
I’ll always believe
Said you’d give me the world
And you gave it all..
Some days your back's against the wall
Some days you trip and drop the ball
There are days you lie to save face
And other days your soul is out of place
And no matter how many cigarettes you smoke
No matter how many books you read
No matter how many rosaries you pray
Your heart won't belive
Because you're still here
You're still here
Caught up in the middle of it
And you're still here
You still cry
Xalking through the middle of it
Still here
You're still here
You're still here
Still here
This day's designed for you to fail
The wind ignores your chance to sail
You can't seem to get away from you
You look around infront to wear the truth
No matter how many cigaretters you smoke
No matter how many books you read
No matter how many rosaries you pray
Your heart can't concieve
Why?
Cause you're still here
You're still here
Caught up in the middle of it
And you're still here
You still cry
Walking through the middle of it
Still here
Walking throught the middle of it
You're still here
Caught up in the middle of it
I'll get through the middle of it
And you're still here
You still cry
Caught up in the middle of it
You still cry
Are you slipping away…
this is hard for me to say
I’m barely holding on…
so scared of the unknown
I’m still here…
holding your hand
Close your eyes
I’ll stay beside you
I’m still here
I won’t let them find you
I’ll be laying right here by your side
Even though my heart is breaking
seeing you like this I’ll face it
don’t be afraid
you’re not alone
From now I’ll walk alone
no one to guide me
I’m completely alone
Was it worth all this pain?
For just a stolen moment
in the rain
I’m still here
holding your hand
Close your eyes
I’ll stay beside you
I’m still here
I won’t let them find you
I’ll be laying right here by your side
Even though my heart is breaking
seeing you like this I’ll face it
Don’t be afraid
you’re not alone
How can I
move on and fly
when I still don’t know
the reason why
You and I
we touched the sky
someone give me a reason why
Close your eyes
I’ll stay beside you
I’m still here
I won’t let them find you
I’ll be laying right here by your side
And even though my heart is breaking
Seeing you like this I’ll face it
Don’t be afraid
You’re not alone
So close your eyes
I’ll stay beside you
I’m still here
I won’t let them find you
I’ll be laying right here by your side
And even though my heart is breaking
seeing you like this I’ll face it
Don’t be afraid…
[C-Town]

I be at Harlem world party pleaser,

That's where I rest at,

and spend some cream on,
tv screens all over you best to see one,
It ain't all about me I'm tryna put my team on,
Cause its good to have a crew to lean on, mics I fiend on,

so dont doubt L,
whats this motha fuckin rap game without L?
Yo thats like jewels without ice,

or the holy bible without christ,
or the bulls without mike,
or crackheads without pipes,
the village without dykes,
and hockey games without fights,
don't touch the mic if you unable to spit,
flamboyant is the label I'm with
(chorus)
(dj mixing lyrics)

(chorus)
You thought this was over with?
And winter's coming
God it's been a whole lotta years
Time is moving faster it seems
I can feel it
Life is changed
But I'm still here
Had many lovers
And been in love at least two times
Couldn't seem to get it right
On I keep movin'
But I'm still here in the same old spot
Happiness comes, but passes by
I got everythin I need
But alone I sit empty inside
'Cause I'm still here
Still waiting on you
Right here, another man won't do
Still here, still waiting on you
I know it's useless
I hear you're OK
Cruel to know that you can move about freely
When I'm still caught up in love's cage
I don't want this love, set me free
Life moved ahead and it's fine, but forgot me
Let me go, I got things I wanna do
I'm not whole, but God I need to be
'Cause I'm still here
Still waiting for you
Right here, another man won't do
Still here, still waiting on you
Here bound by this web of nothing
Ooh I wanna go
Spend days in many crowded rooms
But still I'm filled with nothing
'cause I'm still here
Still waiting on you
Right here, another man won't do
Still here, still waiting on you
I still love you babe
I still need you babe
I still love you
Street life killed my daddy
Got my momma pregnant in the back of a caddy
Since i lost my first tooth i ain't been happy
Young wild nigga child why that boy is so nappy
He got that devil in 'im
Police wanna take him down
Used to be a player but the coochie cost money now
He ain't to bright but he know a trap when he see one
Got is conscious in his pants with his gun
Seventeen years of rain foggin up my windows (yeah)
It done been seventeen years of pain
But i'm still here though
Seventeen years of rain foggin up my window (yeah)
It done been seventeen years of pain but i'm still here though
Shoe box full of pictures
All that's left of good times i shared with my niggas
Some alive and some no longer with us
How da, how da, how da hell do you pray for forgiveness
When you got devil in you
Rogain keeps the hair strong but Cocain keeps the cable on
I can't wait till my nigga jb come home
Why do all the real niggas stay gone so long
Seventeen years of rain foggin up my window (yeah)
It done been seventeen years of pain
But i'm still here though
Seventeen years of rain foggin up my window
It done been seventeen years of pain but i'm still here though
Even though a nigga still in the hood
Gettin drunk and smokin on wood
I'ma make it up out of this street life
On the corner is where i stood
Out there all by myself
Cuz a player gotta get this mil
Wearin fur ain't doin us no good
Flippin burgers ain't gonn make you filled
But i'm still ten toes in this Hustlin tryna make hood rich
And i still ain't trustin no bitch Cuz the mother fuckers always snitch
Its hard in this ghetto man
Fifteen years old with coke and caine
Cheese don't come i'ma go insane Snatch me a purse snatch me a chain
Out here on the block with the fiends and the moon
Squeeze on the glock tryna pop at a goon
He done stole my dough he took my food
Project wasn't born with a silver spoon
In my mouth in my grill wear six chain then niggas get killed
One in the grave the other in jail
Nobody wins thats fo' real
Back way when i was a runny nose
runnin round
Up and down the town
Carrying a black glock and a gold frown
I kept that product on me
It wasn't no problem homie
You said it i had it and met you if you stole my money
Just tryna buy bologna but now i'm buying lobster
You looked at me and saw what I never could see
You made me feel more than I thought I could ever be
And when I needed a friend you were always there to lift me up
To make me strong
You're not gone
You're still here
With me all the time
You're still here
When I close my eyes
I still see you
I still feel you
And we'll never be apart
You're still here
Still here in my heart
In my heart
Because of you I knew how it felt to be loved
You made me feel beautiful 'cause you believed I was
And I will never forget how you touched my life
You made me feel like I belong
You live on
You're still here
With me all the time
You're still here
When I close my eyes
I still see you
I still feel you
And we'll never be apart
You're still here
Still here in my heart
In my heart
All my life
You'll be in my life
You'll be part of me
I'll just think of you and you'll still be
You'll still be here
Still here
You're with me all the time
You'll still be here
Still here
When I close my eyes
I still see you
I still feel you
And we'll never be apart
You're still here in my heart
You're still...
I still feel you
And we'll never be apart
You're still here in my heart
In my heart
In my heart
In my heart
I never knew life could be this way
Life without you
I never knew life could be this strange
Like a sky that isn't blue
I know you're still here
I know you still care
I know you follow me to places only you and I would share
You know you're my love
Know that I always cared
I may have been away without you
But my heart was always here
Never forget
I never left
Always there in the shadow
Hard to believe
Because you couldn't see
Always there when it mattered
I'm still here
I never meant to fall this way
So much to sacrifice
I never thought life would pass away
And at such a high price
Feel we're still one
That love hasn't gone
I sense everything about you
Around me when I'm alone
Know that you'll always be
Deep in the heart of me
No matter where I am today
You'll always be a part of me
Never forget
I never left
Always there in the shadow
Hard to believe
Because you couldn't see
Always there when it mattered
I'm still here
I'm still here
I'm still here
Straight edge before you were born
heard Minor threat and it was on
it was on
38 years edge what the fuck you gotta say?
Is anyone out there still here today?
Nailed to the X, man I live this shit
I am an S.E.O.G. don't ever forget it
They said my views would change but they never did!
Still here, still here, after all these fucking years
Where did you go?
Still here, sincere, after all these fucking years
Where did you go?
To all the new kids this is a way to live
it's not a passing trend, a way to fit in
I never preached shit, I just spoke my mind
to live a positive life and don't waste you're time
Nailed to the X man, I live this shit
I am an S.E.O.G don't ever forget it.
All my friends did it all but I never gave, gave in.
Still here, still here, after all these fucking years
Where did you go?
Still here, sincere, after all these fucking years
Where did you go?
Where did you go? [x3]
You looked at me and saw what I never could see
You made me be more than I thought I could ever be
And when I needed a friend you were always there to lift me up to make me strong
You?re not gone your still here
With me all the time
You?re still here
When I close my eyes
I still see you
I still feel you
And we?ll never be apart
You?re still here
Still here in my heart
In my heart
It?s because of you I knew how it felt to be loved, Oh?
You made me feel beautiful cause you believed I was
And I will never forget how you touched my life
You made me feel like I belonged
You?ll live on
You?re still here
With me all the time
You?re still here
When I close my eyes
I still see you
I still feel you
And we?ll never be apart
You?re still here
Still here in my heart
You?re my life
You?ll be in my life
You?ll be part of me
I?ll just think of you and you?ll be?
Still here
With me all the time, Oh Lord
Still here
When I close my eyes
I feel you
And we?ll never never be apart
You?re still here
Still here in my heart
In my heart
Still here
Aaahhhh
Still here
Oh?.
Whooo
Well here we are again, just like last Tuesday night
Getting Drunk, being too loud and looking for another fight
Skipped class, sat out on the porch, watched the girls go by
Beer ran out, somebody go to the store, cause I'm too drunk to drive
Chorus:
Sing me a song about the way things used to be
Back in 76' when this was the place to be
Float the river go to old Gruene Hall and drink that Lone Star Beer
We'll find our way down to Cheatham St. that's why we're all here
Well we never run out of little things that we can do for fun
Like drive out to five mile just to catch some sun
We always have Mexico, it's just a few hours away
Or road trip out to Luckenbach, to hear old Bob Keen Play
Hey there Matthew Hopkins, are you listening to us - we're still here
Boodstone, Tiger's Eye, whet the hell - we're still here
The dreaming Earth's moving in your sleep - it's all real
And everything you tried to keep so secret will one day be revealed
There's grit in the oysters there's wind in the trees
There's a full moon rising and salt in the seas
And we're outside of the line
Still running - outside of the line
Heinrich Kramer, Jacob Sprenger - we're still here
Can you hear us Torquemada - we're still here
The rolling of thunder, there's holes in the sky
We'll meet you again on the opposite side
Outside of the line
Still running - ouside of the line
The sent of datura, the beat of the drum
Seven by seven, al the ravens have flown
The crack of the lightning, there's holes in the sky
We'll meet you again on the opposite side and we're
Outside of the line
By the earth and the fire and the water and the air
By the blood pouring in my veins I swear
Outside of the line
Either you're living God's way
Or either you have gone astray
Either you're walking in the light
Or either you ain't living right
Lead: God wants
Choir: All or nothing
Lead: No straddle the fence (I said He wants)
Choir: All or nothing
Lead: No in between
Choir: You gotta come clean
No in the middle 4x's
Either you're acting God's way
Or either you're acting a lie
God's got an all seeing eye
And you can't get be, don't you try
Lead: God wants
Choir: All or nothing
Lead: No straddle the fence (I said He wants)
Choir: All or nothing
Lead: No in between
Choir: You gotta come clean
No in the middle 4x's
No in the middle (with lead inserts)
All this time you misbehave me
I should leave
I am still here
Honey you would want that if he would call
He is so beautiful
Don't you stand there staring at this... as a studio
I'm not in this fight alone!
Still in your face, still fucking here!
Till my last dying breath!
Hate! Hate! Hate! Hate!
So many have come and gone, only a few have stood the test
For some it's just a passing phase, but for us it's the only way
We are still right here! Right here!
The scars we wear show that we are real
It's not something we saw on t.v. or that we read in a book
It was born in the streets!
This is for those with real hate inside
This is for those with no shame to hide
This is for the fuck ups and the disenchanted
We are the ones who refuse to be branded
We are right here! Still right here!
Trends set no values, they just confuse the youth
They give no reason for nothing to hold on to
Our time never expires, our marks show that truth
The chains that bind us, you can't undo
[Verse 1:]
Street life killed my daddy
Got my momma pregnant in the back of a caddy
Since i lost my first tooth i ain't been happy
Young wild nigga child why that boy is so nappy
He got that devil in him
Police wanna take him down
Used to be a player but the coochie cost money now
He ain't to bright but he know a trap when he see one
Got his conscious in his pants with his gun
[Chorus:]
Seventeen years of rain (That boy good) foggin up my windows yeah(These niggas always talking bout somethin') It done been seventeen years of pain
But i'm still here though(In the middle of it all this nigga still here)
Seventeen years of rain foggin up my window (yeah)
It done been seventeen years of pain but i'm still here though (and the nigga still here, he still right here).
[Verse 2:]
Shoe box full of pictures
All that's left of good times i shared with my niggas
Some alive and some no longer with us
How da, how da, how da hell do you pray for forgiveness
When you got devil in you
Rogain keeps the hair strong but Cocaine keeps the cable on
I can't wait till my nigga jb come home
Why do all the real niggas stay gone so long
[Chorus:]
Seventeen years of rain foggin up my window (yeah)
It done been seventeen years of pain
But i'm still here though
Seventeen years of rain foggin up my window
It done been seventeen years of pain but i'm still here though
[Three 6 Mafia & Project Pat (rap)]
Even though a nigga still in the hood
Gettin drunk and smokin on wood
I'ma make it up out of this street life
On the corner is where i stood
Out there all by myself
'cause a player gotta get this meal
Welfare ain't doin us no good
Flippin burgers ain't gonn make you filled
But i'm still ten toes in this Hustlin tryna make hood rich
And i still ain't trustin no bitch 'cause the mother fuckers always snitch
Its hard in this ghetto man
Fifteen years old with coke and caine
Cheese don't come i'ma go insane Snatch me a purse snatch me a chain
Out here on the block with the fiends and the moon
Squeeze on the glock tryna pop at a goon
He done stole my dough he took my food
Project wasn't born with a silver spoon
In my mouth in my grill words exchange then niggas get killed
One in the grave the other in jail
Nobody wins thats fo' real
Back way when i was a runny nose
runnin round
Up and down the town
Carrying a black glock and a gold frown
I kept that product on me
It wasn't no problem homie
You said it i had it and met you if you stole my money
Just tryna buy bologna but now i'm buying lobster
Still totin a glock but pusing a rolls rouce and winning oscars
[Chorus 2x]
It seems so far away, so long ago.
Remember when you wouldn't dream of letting go.
Things are not what they used to be.
Every waking thought takes me back to you.
The plans we made for a future bright
Evaporate like water under the blistering sun.
The pain of your memory paralyses me with fear,
But I'm still here.
And I'm still here, I'm still here.
I can't recall when my heart had mourned so much.
I look to the skies and wish there was no flight at all.
Except for the elevation of the human condition.
Moments of madness finally take their toll.
I'm still here, won't you feel me,
Won't you hold me, in your arms.
I'm still here, won't you call me,
I am waiting to hear your voice.
I'm still here, won't you call me,
Won't you let me know, that you are here.
A sharp intake of icy breath,
A chill runs down my spine.
A thousand years of struggle,
Echoes of another time.
Confounding me, astounding me,
Not knowing the final page.
Every chapter in the book,
Refers to a bygone age.
Waiting for something or someone,
To take me away.
And show me a better world,
A better way.
The visions I have of you remain so clear.
The warmth of your touch, the sound of your voice,
I'd swear you'd never left.
The scattered shards of memories like broken mirrored glass,
Are all I have of you now you have gone.
But I'm still here.
Can you feel me, can you touch me,
Can you take me for a while?
I'm still here.
Can I feel you, can I touch you,
There is none like You
There is none like You to me
There is none like You
There is none like You to me
And no one else will be
Everyday I always fail
You are still here
You are still here
Everytime I always fall
You are still here
You are still here
There is none like You
There is none like You to me
There is none like You
There is none like You to me
And no one else will be
Everyday I always fail
You are still here
You are still here
Everytime I always fall
You are still here
You are still here
Bridge
Fix my broken life and make it new
Change my heart and make it just like You
There is none like You
There is none like You to me
There is none like You
There is none like You to me
Musing through memories
Losing my grip in the grey
Numbing the senses
I feel you slipping away
Fighting to hold on
Clinging to just one more day
Love turns to ashes
With all that I wish could say
I'd die to be where you are
I tried to be where you are
Every night I dream you're still here
The ghost by my side, so perfectly clear
When I awake, you disappear
Back to the shadows
With all I hold, dear
With all I hold, dear
I dream you're still here
Hidden companion
Phantom be still in my heart
Make me a promise that
Time won't erase us
That we were not lost from the start
I'd die to be where you are
I tried to be where you are
Every night I dream you're still here
The ghost by my side, so perfectly clear
When I awake, you disappear
Back to the shadows
With all I hold, dear
With all I hold, dear
I dream you're still here
I dream you're still here
Ever slightly out of reach
I dream you're still here
But it breaks so easily
I try to protect you
I can't let you fade
I feel you slipping
I feel you slipping away
Every night I dream you're still here
The ghost by my side, so perfectly clear
When I awake, you disappear
Back to the shadows
With all I hold, dear
With all I hold, dear
I dream you're still here
I dream you're still here
Every night I dream you're still
When you€™ve gone I€™m still here
Waiting for your call
I'm waiting patiently
When you€™ve fired your last shot
You€™ll come back for me
So this world has left you bare
I'm sorry I no longer care
I wonder who€™ll be there for you
when I€™m not?
Take your problems
somewhere else
I could use some help myself
I wonder who€™ll be there for you
when I€™m not?
When you€™ve gone I€™m still here
I know you€™ll come around
I€™m waiting patiently
When you€™ve tried all other ways
You€™ll come back for me
