Lane Sisters
The Lane Sisters were a family of American singers and actresses. The sisters were Leotabel (Leota) (October 25, 1903 – July 25, 1963), Dorothy (Lola) (May 21, 1906 – June 22, 1981), Rosemary (April 4, 1913 – November 25, 1974), and Priscilla Lane (June 12, 1915 – April 4, 1995).
Lola, Rosemary, and Priscilla Lane had a successful singing act as the "Lane Sisters" that transitioned into film careers, beginning with 1938's Four Daughters, the first of four films in which they starred together. Leota Lane did not find the same success as her sisters and left Hollywood for New York before their breakthrough. A fifth sister, Martha, did not enter show business. Actress Gale Page was not related to the Lane Sisters, but starred as the fourth sister in their films.

Early lives
The sisters were from a family of five daughters. Leotabel (Leota) (October 25, 1903 – July 25, 1963), Dorothy (Lola) (May 21, 1906 – June 22, 1981), Rosemary (April 4, 1913 – November 25, 1974), and Priscilla (June 12, 1915 – April 4, 1995), were born to Dr. Lorenzo A. Mullican and his wife, Cora Bell Hicks. Their sister, Martha (1905–????) did not enter show business. The first three children had been born in Macy, Indiana, but the family moved in 1907 to Indianola, Iowa, a small college town south of Des Moines. Here Dr. Mullican had a dental practice. The Mullicans owned a large house with 22 rooms, some of which they rented out to students attending nearby Simpson College.

A film festival is an organized, extended presentation of films in one or more cinemas or screening venues, usually in a single city or region. Increasingly, film festivals show some films outdoors. The best known film festivals are the Venice Film Festival, the Cannes Film Festival, the Toronto Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, and the Berlin International Film Festival, the latter being the largest film festival worldwide, based on attendance. The Venice Film Festival is the oldest major festival. The Melbourne International Film Festival is the largest film festival in the Southern Hemisphere and one of the oldest in the world. A 2013 study found 3,000 active films festivals worldwide—active defined as having held an event in the previous 24 months.

Lane
In the context of traffic control, a lane is part of a carriageway (roadway) that is designated for use by a single line of vehicles, to control and guide drivers and reduce traffic conflicts. Most public roads (highways) have at least two lanes, one for traffic in each direction, separated by lane markings. On multilane roadways and busier two-lane roads, lanes are designated with road surface markings. Major highways often have two multi-lane roadways separated by a median.
Some roads and bridges that carry very low volumes of traffic are less than 15 feet (4.6 m) wide, and are only a single lane wide. Vehicles travelling in opposite directions must slow or stop to pass each other. In rural areas, these are often called country lanes. In urban areas, alleys are often only one lane wide. Urban and suburban one lane roads are often designated for one-way traffic.
Capacity
Lane capacity varies widely due to conditions such as neighbouring lanes, lane width, elements next to the road, number of driveways, presence of parking, speed limits, number of heavy vehicles and so on - the range can be as low as 1000 passenger cars / hour to as high as 4800 passenger cars /hour but mostly falls between 1500 to 2400 passenger cars / hour.

BROWNSVILLE, Ky.- Lola Francis Hawks, 72, of Bowling Green passed away at 5:00 AM April 6, 2013 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky Center in Bowling Green. The Edmonson County native was a homemaker and member of Combs Lane Baptist Church in Scottsville. She was a daughter of the late William Preston Sullivan and Della Mae Wilson Sullivan and the wife of the late Albert M. “Sam” Hawks. She was preceded in death by a son, Billy Joe Hawks. Funeral will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial in Hawks Cemetery. Visitation will be Noon-9 PM Monday and after 9 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Bing Crosby versions in 1953.
The most popular version was sung by Tony Bennett (1953), but other versions by The Four Aces and Tony Martin also received popular favor in 1954. Bennett's version reached number one in the UK Singles Chart in May 1955.[1] It was not until 1955 that Kismet, and thus the songs from the show, came to London. The Edmonson County native was a homemaker and member of Combs Lane Baptist Church in Scottsville. She was a daughter of the late William Preston Sullivan and Della Mae Wilson Sullivan and the wife of the late Albert M. “Sam” Hawks. She was preceded in death by a son, Billy Joe Hawks.
Funeral will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial in Hawks Cemetery. Visitation will be Noon-9 PM Monday and after 9 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Surviving are her husband, Michael Vida; four sons, Steve Hawks and Michael Hawks both of Bowling Green, Roger Dale Hawks of Chalybeate and Darrell Hawks of Port Richey, FL; two daughters, Andrea Burke of Bowling Green and Anita Campbell of Smiths Grove; a brother, Gerald Sullivan of Wingfield; a sister, Louise Duvall of Clarksville, IN; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.

In Loving Memory of Lola Francis Sullivan Hawks
BROWNSVILLE, Ky.- Lola Francis Hawks, 72, of Bowling Green passed away at 5:00 AM April 6, 2013 at Hospice of Southern Kentucky Center in Bowling Green. The Edmonson County native was a homemaker and member of Combs Lane Baptist Church in Scottsville. She was a daughter of the late William Preston Sullivan and Della Mae Wilson Sullivan and the wife of the late Albert M. “Sam” Hawks. She was preceded in death by a son, Billy Joe Hawks. Funeral will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial in Hawks Cemetery. Visitation will be Noon-9 PM Monday and after 9 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. "Stranger in Paradise" is a popular song from the 1953 musical Kismet and is credited to Robert Wright and George Forrest. Like all the music in that show, the melody was based on music composed by Alexander Borodin, in this case, the "Gliding Dance of the Maidens," from the Polovtsian Dances.
Richard Kiley and Doretta Morrow (Man of La Mancha and The King and I) performed the song in the original cast of Kismet. Vic Damone and Ann Blyth performed the song in the 1955 film.
Bing Crosby versions in 1953.
The most popular version was sung by Tony Bennett (1953), but other versions by The Four Aces and Tony Martin also received popular favor in 1954. Bennett's version reached number one in the UK Singles Chart in May 1955.[1] It was not until 1955 that Kismet, and thus the songs from the show, came to London. It was Bennett's debut hit record in the United Kingdom.
Keely Smith, Ray Conniff, Wes Montgomery, George Shearing, Curtis Counce, Isaac Hayes, Sun Ra, The Supremes (for their album I Hear A Symphony), Sarah Brightman, and Saint Etienne have also recorded cover versions of this standard.
The song was also featured in the video game Jikkyō Oshaberi Parodius for the PlayStation. Not only did it appear as background music in Parodius, it was also featured in Ape Escape 3 on the Saru-Mon's (Immobile) Castle stage.
In the 1999 film, Breakfast of Champions, based on the book of the same name by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr., the song is used as a recurring motif.
It also appeared in an anime, Absolute Boy, as a ringtone.
Violinist André Rieu also made an orchestral cover of this song. It is also used in the rap song Prince Igor by The Rapsody, Warren G and Sissel - Wikipedia

"Laura" is a 1945 popular song composed by David Raksin, with lyrics written by Johnny Mercer from the 1944 movie starring Gene Tierney and Dana Andrews. Richard Kiley and Doretta Morrow (Man of La Mancha and The King and I) performed the song in the original cast of Kismet. Vic Damone and Ann Blyth performed the song in the 1955 film.

The most popular version was sung by Tony Bennett (1953), but other versions by The Four Aces and Tony Martin also received popular favor in 1954. Bennett's version reached number one in the UK Singles Chart in May 1955.[1] It was not until 1955 that Kismet, and thus the songs from the show, came to London. It was Bennett's debut hit record in the United Kingdom.
Keely Smith, Ray Conniff, Wes Montgomery, George Shearing, Curtis Counce, Isaac Hayes, Sun Ra, The Supremes (for their album I Hear A Symphony), Sarah Brightman, and Saint Etienne have also recorded cover versions of this standard.
The song was also featured in the video game Jikkyō Oshaberi Parodius for the PlayStation. Not only did it appear as background music in Parodius, it was also featured in Ape Escape 3 on the Saru-Mon's (Immobile) Castle stage.
In the 1999 film, Breakfast of Champions, based on the book of the same name by Kurt Vonnegut, Jr., the song is used as a recurring motif.
It also appeared in an anime, Absolute Boy, as a ringtone.

The Edmonson County native was a homemaker and member of Combs Lane Baptist Church in Scottsville. She was a daughter of the late William Preston Sullivan and Della Mae Wilson Sullivan and the wife of the late Albert M. “Sam” Hawks. She was preceded in death by a son, Billy Joe Hawks.
Funeral will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial in Hawks Cemetery. Visitation will be Noon-9 PM Monday and after 9 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
