Use responsibly at your own risk! No liability can be accepted!
7 cups water
1/2 cup baking soda
1/3 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup vinegar
Pour into a spray bottle and spray your floor or shower stall walls, let it sit for a minute or two... then scrub.
Descaling Your Steam Iron
Steam iron tired and not steaming like it used to?
Mix 1-2 Tablespoons of liquid descaler to your tank water. ( Use your iron's filler cup silly!)
Set iron sole plate down on a cake rack over the sink and allow to steam until the tank is empty.
This can be repeated several times if calcification build up is bad!
Flush the tank several times with fresh water until you're satisfied the tank is clean and no deposites are
being flushed out!
Sister's iron has a 'calc clean' button to encourage a higher volume of steam, so a tooth pick comes in handy to
keep the button depressed, allowing sister to continue with domestic chores whilst the steaming works it's magic!
Sister recommends following this up with a commercially available 'hot iron' sole plate cleaner. (following the manufacturer’s
instructions of course!) This can also be repeated several times if your sole is particularly unclean!
In no time at all your iron will be steaming away like new and gliding effortlessly over your precious fabrics!
