Harold Lee Washington (April 15, 1922 – November 25, 1987) was an American lawyer and politician who became the first African-American Mayor of Chicago, serving from 1983 until his death in 1987.
Harold Washington was born on April 15, 1922, to Roy and Bertha Washington. His father had been one of the first precinct captains in the city, a lawyer and a Methodist minister. His mother, Bertha, left a small farm near Centralia, Illinois, to make a fortune in Chicago as a singer. She married Roy soon after arriving in Chicago and had three children, one named Kevin and the other named Ramon Price (from a later marriage), former artist and chief curator of The DuSable Museum of African American History.
Washington grew up in the Bronzeville neighborhood of Chicago, at the time the epicenter of black culture in the city. He attended DuSable High School, then a new segregated high school, and was a member of the first graduating class. In a 1939 citywide track meet, Washington placed first in the 110 meter high hurdles event, and second in the 220 meter low hurdles event. Between his junior and senior year of high school, Washington dropped out, claiming that he no longer felt challenged by the classwork. He worked at a meat packing plant for a time before his father helped him get a job at the U.S. Treasury. There he met Dorothy Finch, whom he married soon after—Washington was 20, and Dorothy 17. Seven months later, the U.S. was drawn into World War II with the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
Robert Gordon "Bobby" Orr, OC (born March 20, 1948) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. Orr played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for his entire career, the first ten seasons with the Boston Bruins, joining the Chicago Black Hawks for two more. Orr is widely acknowledged to be one of the greatest hockey players of all time. A defenceman, Orr used his ice skating speed and scoring and play-making abilities to revolutionize the position. As of 2011[update], Orr remains the only defenceman to have won the league scoring title with two Art Ross Trophies and holds the record for most points and assists in a single season by a defenceman. Orr won a record eight consecutive Norris Trophies as the NHL's best defenceman and three consecutive Hart Trophies as the league's most valuable player (MVP). Orr was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1979 at age 31, the youngest to that day to be inducted into the Hall.
Patricia Quinn, Lady Stephens (born 28 May 1944) is a Northern Irish actress best known for her role as Magenta in the film The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975). Hers were the red lips that appeared in the film's opening song "Science Fiction/Double Feature" (although the singing voice was that of Richard O'Brien). She has appeared in many film and television roles including the Rocky Horror semi-sequel, Shock Treatment (1981), as well as I, Claudius (1976), Monty Python's The Meaning of Life (1983), and the 1987 Doctor Who serial Dragonfire.
Quinn was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She began her career as a Playboy Bunny in London.
She has one son, Quinn Hawkins, from her first marriage to Don Hawkins. He is now a London barrister and is married with four sons (Boy, Charles, Jesse and Harry).
In January 1995, Quinn married the ailing British actor Robert Stephens, whose wife she had played in the BBC serial, Fortunes of War (1987). She thus became stepmother to his two actor sons by his previous marriage (to Dame Maggie Smith), Toby Stephens and Chris Larkin. Quinn had also appeared alongside Stephens in the BBC adaptation of The Box of Delights (1984), in the role of Sylvia Daisy Pouncer. Robert Stephens died in November 1995. He had been knighted earlier that year, giving Quinn the title of Lady Stephens.
Damn
The doctor's just
Finished telling me
There's no time
Losing you could be the
End of me and that
I should do the things
That I wanna do, how could I
Without you
Without you
Ooh, ooh
'Cause you're the only
One I let in
Tell me how to stop
This feeling
Spreading
I'm hoping somehow
That you know
Ooh, ooh
Let's just get back together
We should've never broke up
They're telling me
That my heart won't beat again
We should've stayed together
'Cause when you left me it stopped
They're telling me
That my heart won't beat again
Won't beat again
It's killing me
Hey, hey, hey
If I died
Yeah would you come
To my funeral
Would you cry
Would you feel some regret
That we didn't try
Or would you fall apart
The same as I, I, I, I
Oh, and would it always
Haunt you baby?
That you missed your chance
To save me
'Cause you know it's not
Too late
Hey, hey ,hey
Let's just get back together
We should've never broke up
They're telling me
That my heart won't beat again
We should've stayed together
'Cause when you left me it stopped
They're telling me
That my heart won't beat again
Won't beat again
It's killing me
That my heart
Won't beat again
Won't beat again
It's killing me
Hey, I need you
Back in my arms
I need love CPR
'Cause it's getting
So cold, ooh
I need you back again
Or else I'll never mend
And girl if I go
I go, I go, I go
Let's just get back together
We should've never broke up
They're telling me
That my heart won't beat again
We should've stayed together
'Cause when you left me it stopped
They're telling me
That my heart won't beat again
Won't beat again
It's killing me
That my heart
Won't beat again
Won't beat again
It's killing me
Hey, come on
I'm beggin'
Please, don't let me go
Hey, come on
I'm beggin'
Please, don't let me go
Hey, come on
I'm beggin'
Please, don't let me go
Hey, come on
I'm beggin'
Please, don't let me go
I ditched school today
bought a gun
gotta shoot with both hands,
'cause it kicks back some
I'll show those muthers who they're messin with
Run for cover, I'll take no shit
I won't be afraid of no one
By the time I'm eleven I'll be a man
gonna fire off a weapon like those guys in movies can
by the time I'm eleven
I'll be cool like them
Saw that Bruce Willis movie ,
he's my Man
used an AK 47 like a magic wand
all those bodies falling just like bowling pins
bullets flying, gets me psyched up
can't wait to get my hands on one
By the time I'm eleven I'll be a man
gonna fire off a weapon like those guys in movies can
by the time I'm eleven
I'll be cool like them
cool like them
cool like them
so cool like them
I ditched school today
Damn,

Please don't let me... go
Tu m'excus'ras, mignonne
d'avoir pas pu marcher
derrière les couronnes
de tes amis branchés
parce que ton dealer
était peut-être là,
parmi ces gens en pleurs
qui parlaient de toi
en regardant leurs montres,
en se plaignant du froid,
en assumant la honte
de t'avoir poussée là...
P'tite conne
tu leur en veux même pas
tu sais que ces charognes
sont bien plus morts que toi...
Tu fréquentais un monde
d'imbéciles mondains
où cette poudre immonde
se consomme au matin,
où le fric autorise
à se croire à l'abri
et de la cour d'assises
et de notre mépris
que ton triste univers
nous inspirait, malins
en sirotant nos bières
ou en fumant nos joints...
P'tite conne
Tu rêvais de Byzance
Mais c'était la Pologne
jusque dans tes silences...
On se connaissait pas
aussi tu me pardonnes,
j'ai pas chialé quand t'as
cassé ta pipe d'opium,
J'ai pensé à l'enfer
d'un téléphone qui crie
pour réveiller ta mère
au milieu de la nuit.
J'aurais voulu lui dire
que c'était pas ta faute
qu'à pas vouloir vieillir
on meurt avant les autres...
P'tite conne
Tu voulais pas mûrir,
Tu tombes avant l'automne
Juste avant de fleurir...
Mais t'aurais-je connu
que ça n'eût rien changé,
petite enfant perdue
m'aurais-tu accepté ?
Moi j'aime le soleil
tout autant que la pluie
et quand je me réveille
et que je suis en vie
C'est tout ce qui m'importe,
bien plus que le bonheur
qui est affaire de médiocres
et qui use le coeur...
P'tite conne
c'est oublier que toi
t'étais là pour personne
et que personne élût là...
Tu m'excus'ras, mignonne,
d'avoir pas pu pleurer
en suivant les couronnes,
de tes amis branchés,
parce que ton dealer
était peut-être là
à respirer ces fleurs
que tu n'aimerais pas,
à recompter ces roses
qu'il a payé au prix
de ta dernière dose
et de ton demier cri...
P'tite conne
allez, repose-toi
tout près de Morisson
