Plot: A young ranger in the Montana wilderness discovers the great forces of nature while learning the importance of honor, trust and integrity. Legendary veteran ranger Bill Bell educates the young man and guides him toward manhood. The year is 1919-a time when being a ranger meant more than operating expensive equipment. Forest fires were fought with guts and courage, not chemicals and airplanes. Bill Bell was the toughest ranger in an elite crew of very rugged men. A figure of heroic proportions, he was generally feared and respected by all. It was even rumored that he had at one time killed a sheep farmer, which only fueled his already enormous reputation. The young ranger does everything to remain in the good graces of Bill Bell, the senior ranger he idolizes. Their tentative rapport grows into a friendship through a hilarious and heroic rite of passage in which the younger ranger meets the test-and the woman of his dreams.

I mean, have you ever sat down, considered all the available information, weighed it all in your mind, sifted all the possibilities, discarded what you couldn't prove, sorted out what made sense, and came to your own, personal, original, Red McBride opinion?::Red: [after a long pause] Why would I go to all that trouble?

Plot: Henry Wiggen (Author to his friends) and Bruce Pearson are members of the New York Mammoths major league baseball team - Author the star pitcher, Bruce the catcher who never quite lived up to his potential - friends, and roommates when they're on the road. During the off season, Bruce is diagnosed with a terminal case of Hodgkin's disease. Author is the only person on the team who knows of Bruce's illness, with neither planning on telling anyone. Author takes extraordinary measures to ensure that he is playing ball with Bruce during what will probably be Bruce's final season before he can no longer play. Author looks after Bruce in part because Bruce is mentally a simple man who can easily be taken advantage of, especially by his opportunistic girlfriend Katie. As the season progresses, the team isn't quite gelling, despite being the best team on paper. But as information comes to light, the dynamic on the team changes to make it a memorable end of the season especially for Bruce, who finishes on his own terms.

Dutch Schnell: Skip the facts, just gimme the details.
Henry Wiggen: Oh Katie, honey, why don't you get yourself married and raise yourself some exemptions.
Henry Wiggen: See, it was no double birdie.::Mr. Pearson: Double Birdie?::Bruce Pearson: Whereas for, it coulda been a spread eagle.::Henry Wiggen: Probably you've been playing Southeastern Tegwar all your life, but in the Majors the boys all play Western Canadian style. Which, for my money, is much faster. That leaves you free for a Butchered Hog most any time, whereas, uh.::Bruce Pearson: Whereas uh.::Mr. Pearson: Wh, Whereas what?::Bruce Pearson: Whereas, it, uh, keeps you from dropping dead on the board.
Henry Wiggen: These are Fifth and Two. Fifth and Queen.::Joe Jaros: Red Rooster. [long pause, then Tegawar Player lays a 3. Joe slams down his cards] BANJO! Ha-HAAAA! That's the first natural Banjo since the days of Joe Dimaggio in St. Petersburg.::Henry Wiggen: Hey, wait a minute. Fifteen and Fifteen's Thirty-One.::Tegwar Player: Hey, what's the name of this game?::Joe Jaros: Fifteen and Fifteen is Thirty-TWO!::Henry Wiggen: Thirry-T... oh, that's right. [to Tegwar player] That's a Double Honeybees.::Tegwar Player: I'm not too sure if I'm clear on some of these new rules.::Joe Jaros: What new rules? There hasn't been any rules changes since the Black Sox Scandal, 1919. Big League Tegwar's Big League Tegwar known to every big-time ballplayer from Boston to California.
Joe Jaros: Can you beat a Coney Island Tatey?::Bruce Pearson: What about this Double Ace Deucer?::Joe Jaros: I wish ya a lot of luck with it.
Dutch Schnell: [taking Piney's revolver in the locker room] Hand it over. I'm in no mood to see anybody get killed by a buller wound. Piney, I hear you have bullets with it too.::Piney Woods: Yes, sir. They're in the gun.::Dutch Schnell: Why the hell didn't you tell me?::Piney Woods: I didn't think it'd go off. I'm always very careful.::Dutch Schnell: That's what everybody says. That's why the hospital's full of babies.
[last lines]::Henry Wiggen: From here on in, I rag nobody.

Brian Lilley of TheRebel.Media reports:
You know how Canadians aren’t really in a mad rush to accept a high number of refugees in a short period of time?
Well, as some of us learned at a technical briefing held in Ottawa by government officials Wednesday morning, neither are a lot of those refugees in a rush to come to Canada.
Turns out, a lot of people want to go home when the war is over.
The 271 Syrian refugees that have arrived since November 4th when the new government took power, were people whose applications were already in process, and then there are the other 9,090 people in process that aren’t here yet. That’s right - ones that the mean old Harper government were working on bringing in. Conservatives focused their efforts on private sponsorships so that would be mainly people with family in Canada who have connections to our country.
Many of those who don't, simply don’t want to come. They don’t hate Canada per se, it’s just that they’d rather go home and that’s why they prefer to stay in refugee camps in Turkey so they’ll be close to home when the war is over.
Funny, that was a point that Stephen Harper made during the election campaign. He quoted people he had spoken to who said that Canada could help by helping those on the ground that didn’t want to leave. For that he was described as uncaring.
This refugee rush has been a white liberal guilt exercise from the beginning - driven by partisan politics and the heartbreaking picture of a dead toddler shared generously by the main-stream media along with the false story that his family had been rejected by Canada.
The Liberals promised 25,000 refugees, a number which has now grown with Immigration Minister John McCallum saying we’ll likely take in close to 50,000 by the end of 2016 but so far, just 1,800 of 41,000 contacted even expressed an interest.
It looks like the hesitancy of Canadians to take part in the refugee rush is matched by the hesitancy of Syrians who don’t seem to want to be part of it either.

Now Then... Welcome to the VLOG video for Thursday December 3rd 2015! As per usual we have a LOT to talk about including not just US Advocacy, but Canadian advocacy as well. Unfortunately due to my sickness there's no beer segment this week.

TOP 10 BEST CITIES TO SETTLE IN CANADA AS NEW IMMIGRANT

So you've applied to come to Canada...
416-962-2623 / 1-866-760-2623
www.immigroup.com
http://www.immigroup.com/news/top-10-best-cities-settle-canada-new-immigrant
So you've applied to come to Canada as a permanent resident but you don't know exactly where you should live. Everyone has heard of Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver, but who knows if those are really great cities to start your new life. This list looks at big cities in Canada that are most accessible to new immigrants.
The richest city on this list, West Vancouver is a suburb of - you guessed it - Vancouver! It is surprisingly affordable for the renter: the average rent price in the city puts it right in the middle of the pack; it's actually cheaper to rent in West Van than in Milton! The unemployment is relatively low, well over a third of the population are immigrants, and it of course features the warmer temperatures that the Vancouver area is known for. So what could possibly be wrong? Well, on average it takes about 8 years to save up enough money to buy a house. So if you're thinking of starting out in West Vancouver, be sure to check out the rest of the list to find out where to move once you've made some money in Canada.
Looking for a job? The rapidly expanding city of Milton may be the place to move. Though it's a bit of a hike from Toronto - nearly an hour drive in traffic and significantly further by train - Milton boasts very low unemployment; the lowest among the immigrant-friendly big cities in the country. There aren't as many immigrants in Milton as there are in some of the other cities on this list, and the rent isn't exactly cheap, but it's hard to say no to jobs. Unless you're concerned about safety: Milton's crime-rate isn't exactly low.
The nation's capital is a safe bet. Predicted by experts to see a boom in jobs in the near future, the capital is also pretty much in the middle in all livability factors: the rent and vacancy rates are reasonable, unemployment is higher than some places but should soon drop, house prices are about average, as is the time it takes to save for a house, and the city is safe with decent transit. But Ottawa is notoriously boring and cold, so keep that in mind.
Richmond Hill, a suburb of Toronto easily accessible from the city by transit or highway, has one of the highest percentages of immigrants of any city in Canada - nearly equal that of the larger and perhaps more intimidating Mississauga. The only thing keeping it from being higher on this list is the violent crime rate which, while low, is significantly higher than the cities listed below. Well, that and the fact that it takes significantly longer to buy a house in Richmond Hill than it does in some other cities: the length of time to save for a house is not West Vancouver bad, but it's close.
Looking for a cheap apartment? Well, the immigrant-friendly Montreal suburb of Brossard has them in droves. The vacancy rate is reasonably high and the rent is way lower than any suburb of Toronto or Vancouver. Plus, it has a way lower crime rate than the equally cheap - and even more immigrant-friendly - Dollard-des-Ormeaux, another of suburb of Montreal, located almost as close to the downtown core. Sure, you have to cross the notoriously traffic-jammed Pont Champlain to get from Brossard to Montreal, but Dollard just isn't as safe. Finally, the average resident of Brossard only has to save for three years to afford a house, and Brossard has the second lowest real estate prices of any major city in Canada.
Mississauga, the third largest city in Canada's most pop0lous province, is still considered by many to be a suburb of Toronto. That's because it is only a 20 minute drive from the downtown and a short trip by transit. Mississauga boasts a population of over 50% immigrants and a low crime rate. But it's still somewhat of a bedroom community despite it's size - meaning you have to drive everywhere - and the employment rate doesn't compare favourably with the other suburbs of Toronto.
Markham is a suburb north of Toronto that is easily accessible from Toronto by transit or highway; it's right nextdoor to Richmond Hill. Markham has the second highest percentage of immigrants of any large city in Canada, with well over 50% of the population having been born overseas. The city boasts a high apartment vacancy rate and the rent is comparable to the other suburbs of Toronto. Markham is a pretty wealthy place too, meaning that it is a safe place to start your new life.

In this European-orientated city on the St. Laurence river, French is the main language. In 1608, Samuel De Champlain established it as a centre for the fur trade. The massive and world famous Chateau Frontenac is the city’s best known landmark. In Montreal, Canada’s second largest city, the massive Basilica, the Oratoire Saint-Joseph, is an important pilgrimage destination and in the charming French-style area of the city which is located between the harbour and the modern banking quarter, numerous old buildings have been restored. Although Montreal is located 1600 kilometres from the open sea, it owes its wealth to its waterways which stretch from the country’s interior, to the ocean. In Native American, Toronto means, ‘Meeting Place’ an accurate description for the capital of Ontario Province and Canada’s largest city, a multi-cultural city with giant skyscrapers and noisy streets. The CN Tower is the tallest free-standing building in the world and in less than a minute its lift ascends 335 metres to the top. Niagara Falls lies between Lake Erie and Lake Ontario on the Canadian-American border. A trip on the ‘Maid Of The Mist’ is a magnificent experience where the tremendous power of the water is awesome. Three times a week, the Canadian, with its 30 wagons, 2 locomotives and total length of more than a kilometre, winds its way through the Rocky Mountains the water from which accumulates from mountain glaciers and flows into three oceans: the Atlantic, the Pacific and the Arctic. The capital of the south west province of British Columbia, Vancouver, is located beside the Pacific Ocean and is the third largest city in Canada and one of the most beautiful on the North American continent. A fitting final destination for a tour of Canada’s wonderworld of magnificent contrasts.

Welcome to Toronto, the largest city in Canada and a hub of trade and culture.
“The City That Works” is full of a can-do spirit that is reflected in its buildings. From the famous CN Tower to the castle-like Casa Loma, there’s all sorts of eye candy for the architecture enthusiast. Your Toronto tour should include a trip to Edward Gardens in Hyde Park, or one of the many other green spaces located in the city. Take a bike ride along the trails, or enjoy a picnic while the local chipmunks look on. Don’t drop anything; they’ll grab it.
Your Toronto sightseeing can continue at the Harborfront Center. Go for a walk along the marina, or grab a pint at a brewhouse. And no trip to Toronto is complete without a visit to the Hockey Hall of Fame, so make sure you’ve got your team paraphernalia in order before you venture inside. Looking for shopping? You’ll find the Underground City and Kensington Market ready to welcome you and your credit card – or several credit cards, as the case may be. After a day of madcap purchasing, why not stock up on fresh, healthy food at the St. Lawrence Market? You’ll have worked up quite an appetite for delicious local produce.
Before you leave, head to Niagara Falls and take in the spectacle of nature’s power. You’ll never forget the sight and sound of all that water pouring over the falls, nor will you ever forget your trip to Toronto.

Welcome to Montreal, Canada. This extraordinary city, which began life as a French colony in the 1600s, is now a stunning metropolis combining old-world architecture with modern dashes.
When Mark Twain visited Montreal in the 19th century, he was so taken by its many churches that he nicknamed it “The City of 100 Bell Towers.” These numerous buildings are often part of Montreal sightseeing; marvel at the imposing stone façade of Christ Church Cathedral, or stand beneath the great arched ceiling of the beautiful Notre Dame Basilica. You can spend days exploring the city’s many sacred spaces, but Montreal tourism is so much more than that; if you’re a foodie, you’re in luck, because the residents of Montreal adore a good meal, whether it’s poutine from a streetside bistro or fresh produce from the farmers market.
A tour of Montreal will take you across cobblestone streets and through architecture that dates back to the 1600s, but one thing you must remember to do is to walk and play in its numerous green spaces. The city’s inhabitants take great pride in Montreal’s natural beauty, and hikes up Mont Royal or along the St. Lawrence River are frequent activities for locals. Remember to bring your camera, as the riverfront and the mountain are full of striking photo opportunities.
What is your favorite part of Montreal?

Ottawa is the capital of Canada, and the fourth largest city in the country. Ottawa is situated on the south bank of the Ottawa River, and contains the mouths of the Rideau River and Rideau Canal. The older part of the city (including what remains of Bytown) is known as Lower Town, and occupies an area between the canal and the rivers.
The most important places to visit in Ottawa are: Parliament building (undoubtedly among the most beautiful parliament buildings in the world. It should be a must see for all visitors to Ottawa), Chateau Laurier (now part of a hotel. This famous Ottawa landmark retains much of its grandeur, inside you'll find luxurious settings and ornate decor), Supreme Court of Canada (take a tour of this important building. You can even attend the hearings here), Notre Dame Basilica (constructed in the 19th century this beautiful church is among the surviving churches of Ottawa), Rideau Canal (it's a UNESCO world heritage site. The canals offers excellent views of the city. In winter time, it's transformed into a massive skating rink) and many more.
This video offers a lot of tips to help you plan the perfect vacation. If you want to save time and money, the most important Ottawa travel tip is to compare prices before booking a hotel room or a flight. You can do this for free on http://bookinghunter.com, a site that searches through hundreds of other travel websites in real time for the best travel deals available.

Niagara Falls has long been a symbol of natural power and beauty. Visit this hallmark of Canadian and American tourism and see its majesty from a helicopter, boat, or walkway.
Your Niagara Falls tour begins with a little bit of information: more than six million cubic feet of water spill over the sides per minute. You can explore three waterfalls, the most famous being the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, which are the widest and most powerful. Take a half-hour boat cruise and bask in the falls’ mist, or enter a special set of walkways behind the falls and see the strength and might of the rushing water right in front of you.
No Niagara Falls sightseeing trip is complete without exploring the Botanical Gardens or Niagara on the Lake. The latter attraction offers boutiques, eateries, and picturesque views of the water you won’t soon forget.

Welcome to Ottawa, Ontario, where you’ll find charming old-world buildings surrounded by picturesque natural beauty.
The first stop on an Ottawa tour should be the Rideau Canal. This waterway cuts the city in half, and it provides places for boating and paddleboarding during the summer. Visiting in winter? Not a problem—you can go ice skating along the Rideau when it ices over. On the south side of the river, you can see the Changing of the Guard Ceremony at Parliament Hill. A few blocks to the north is the National Gallery of Canada, a stunning glass-and-granite building full of art from Canadian, European, and other North American artists.
You’ll be hungry after all this walking around, so head to ByWard Market. If you see beavertails, don’t worry; they’re a pastry, not part of an actual beaver—and they’re delicious. ByWard Market also has some of the best fresh produce you’ll ever taste, so stock up on fruits and vegetables while you’re there.
After sampling the fare at ByWard Market, cross the river to visit the Canadian Museum of History in Quebec. This is where you can tour recreations of Old Canada: explore 1800s storefronts, wander into log cabins, and learn about the First Nations people who inhabited Canada for thousands of years prior to European settlement.
Round out your trip with a venture to Gatineau Park, where you can relax by the lake or take tea in the MacKenzie King estate.

When you arrive in Quebec, you’ll immediately notice its unique combination of old-world architecture, French elegance, and North American friendliness. Throw in a penchant for winter sports and a rich historical past, and you’ll have plenty to do in its capital, Quebec City.
The walled Upper Town is on the to-see list of most Quebec tours. This is part of the historic Old Quebec, first settled by Europeans in 1608. You’ll find a fantastic view of the St. Lawrence River, along with winding streets filled with historic buildings housing restaurants, pubs, and small shops.
Venture out into the oldest retail center on the continent and enjoy a croissant and a coffee, then go for a bike ride along the Old Port. This used to be one of the world’s largest shipping thoroughfares, though now it’s known primarily as a cruise ship destination.
If you’re in the mood to meet some of the local wildlife, head to the Quebec Aquarium, where you can see polar bears, seals, and other animals that inhabit the Arctic. Feeling like reaching great heights? Stop by Montmorency Falls, where you can hike up to an observation point and marvel at the beauty of the natural landscape.
All this walking and hiking will make you hungry, so at dusk, visit Rue St. Paul’s many restaurants to pick out the perfect place for dinner. The city is buzzing late into the night; if you’re up for dancing, a drink, or a cup of coffee after dinner, you’ll be in good company.

http://bookinghunter.com
Niagara Falls is the collective name for three waterfalls that straddle the international border between Canada and the United States; more specifically, between the province of Ontario and the state of New York. They form the southern end of the Niagara Gorge.
From largest to smallest, the three waterfalls are the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. The Horseshoe Falls lie on the Canadian side and the American Falls on the American side, separated by Goat Island. The smaller Bridal Veil Falls are also located on the American side, separated from the other waterfalls by Luna Island. The international boundary line was originally drawn through Horseshoe Falls in 1819, but the boundary has long been in dispute due to natural erosion and construction.
Located on the Niagara River, which drains Lake Erie into Lake Ontario, the combined falls form the highest flow rate of any waterfall in the world, with a vertical drop of more than 165 feet (50 m). Horseshoe Falls is the most powerful waterfall in North America, as measured by vertical height and also by flow rate. The falls are located 17 miles (27 km) north-northwest of Buffalo, New York and 75 miles (121 km) south-southeast of Toronto, between the twin cities of Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Niagara Falls, New York.
This video offers a lot of tips to help you plan the perfect vacation. You can do this for free on http://bookinghunter.com, a site that searches through hundreds of other travel websites in real time for the best travel deals available.

Toronto is the largest city in Canada and the provincial capital of Ontario. It is located in Southern Ontario on the northwestern shore of Lake Ontario. The history of Toronto began in the late 18th century when the British Crown purchased its land from the Mississaugas of the New Credit. The British established a settlement there, called the Town of York, which its lieutenant governor, John Graves Simcoe, designated as the capital of Upper Canada. The city was ransacked in the Battle of York during the War of 1812. In 1834, York was incorporated as a city and renamed Toronto.
The most important places to visit in Toronto are: Niagara Falls (located an hour and a half away from Toronto, awe-inspiring Niagara Falls attracts visitors from around the world), CN Tower (dominating Toronto's skyline, this communication tower stands at a staggering 1,815 feet. Spectacular Toronto views await you at the top), Old City Hall (an important historic landmark of Toronto. It too nearly 20 years to complete its construction in 1899), Royal Ontario Museum (Canada's largest museum of world culture. You can see impressive artifacts and archeological objects from around the world), Casa Loma (a magnificent castle on a hill in the north end of Toronto. Visitors are treated well in restored rooms and gardens) and many more.

Travel video about destination Coast to Coast in the country Canada.
Sweden is located in the south of Scandinavia between the North Sea and the East Sea. The Göta Canal connects Kattegatt on the west coast, with the east coast and is the main waterway through Sweden from Gothenburg to Stockholm. From Gothenburg, we travel by boat, the Göta Älv, inland. One remarkable lock after the other opens up huge gates and the inflow of water raises the boat to the next level. The Trollhättan Canal Museum provides a good insight into the construction of the lock system and old drawings show its planning and construction from 1609. It also includes the history of the Göta Canal and how in 1718 Christopher Polhem was commissioned by CharlesThe Twelfth to build a canal. The pathways alongside the canal were once tow paths where oxen pulled the ships along by rope and trees were planted to provide shade to both Man and beast. Our journey leads into the waters of Bottensjön that is connected to Lake Vättern until we finally arrive at the port of Karlsborg. Behind the walls of Karlsborg Fortress are barracks, various buildings and a church. It is a truly massive construction, built in 1809 after Sweden lost Finland to Russia. Located on the idyllic Lovön Island is the royal castle of Drottningholm Slott that is the main residence of the Swedish royal family, the Versailles Of The North. Queen Hedvig Eleonora had this Baroque castle built in 1662 and in 1744 it was presented to Queen Louisa Ulrika as a wedding gift. This classic route from coast to coast has been an amazing experience with the "Blue Ribbon of Sweden" an unforgettable dream!

When visiting Montreal consider the following top 35 things to do in Montreal as a travel video guide for all of the best attractions in the city. There is no other city in Canada or the United States of America that can compare with Montreal in terms of its diversity and European flare. As a city of festivals (during the winter, fall, spring and summer) you're left with an inexhaustible amount of things to see and do in the city during all four seasons. Compared to other Canadian cities, Montreal offers world class arts, dining, architecture, entertainment, arts and festivals showcasing the best of Canadian culture and Canadian food. Eating poutine, watching a Montreal Canadiens hockey game for fun and taking in a mesmerizing Cirque du Soleil were the highlights of our visit. If you only have time to one destination in Canada let it be Montréal, Québec:

There are definitely lots of things to do and see on your next visit to Toronto! If you're in town this month of December catch:
• Toronto Christmas Market — Nov 28 — December 21
• Quest for Genius: Michelangelo —18 October - 11 January

Travel video about destination Montréal in Canada.
Canada's second largest city, Montreal is a fascinating blend of European charm and the American way of life.
In Vieux-Montreal, narrow lanes and small houses recall the past and also the lifestyle of the original settlers. In the old fire station at Place d'Youville - one of the oldest markets in Montreal -- is the Centre d'Histoire in which the 350 year cultural history of the city is on display, from the development of the Irokese Settlement, its prolific fur trade, and right up to today's shining, energetic Metropolis.
Although Montreal is located 1,600 kilometres from the open sea, it owes its wealth to its waterways which stretch from the country's interior, to the ocean. A trip on the Saint Lawrence River with the pleasure boat, BATEAU-MOUCHE, contrasts old, historic warehouses with the highly contemporary apartment block of the Cité du Havre Habitat.
Le Tour Olympique, Montreal's "Crooked Tower", offers panoramic views which extend more than 80 kilometres from its 175 metre tall viewing platform. Next to the Olympic Stadium, the Biodome, in which exotic animals from many corners of the world roam among waterfalls and tropical forests.
Next to the gleaming skyscrapers of the inner city, there are museums, churches and art galleries and in the old quarter, there are more historic buildings than in any other North American city, not forgetting the parks and the romantic harbor. Montreal is a gem!

In the most recent years Canada and Australia have become two of the biggest destination hot spots for Irish and British people who wish to work and travel. So, what’s it going to be Moose or Kangaroos? Hockey or Aussie Rules? This article will highlight the day to day living comparison between these two great countries.
Canada and Australia are two of the largest countries in the world, so if I were to do a comparison between every city and town in both countries you may be finished reading this article sometime next year. Instead I decided to pick the two main immigration/travel destinations, Toronto and Sydney.

Deep behind ISIS lines, two brave people agreed to talk to the fifth estate about what life is really like under brutal occupation. One is Rami, a young man who tells us his story as he sees his town destroyed and its citizens terrorized -- fearing all the while that he will be found out and killed. The other, Leila, is a journalist who made a treacherous journey overland to meet our team in Erbil, Iraq. She documents what she says is the little-known toll of civilian casualties from Coalition air strikes. Through their stories, a narrative emerges about fear of ISIS and of the bombs dropped from the sky. The fifth estate explores how the true reality of this war is hidden from all.

One of the largest decisions weighing on the shoulders of prime minister-designate Justin Trudeau is what role what role, if any, should Canada play in the war against ISIS. And how will Canadians know whether their efforts are having the intended results? Do we really know what our troops are doing in Iraq? Do we even know whether Coalition airstrikes are hitting intended targets?Bob McKeown reports from the front lines of Canada's war in Iraq and Syria.

Officially founded in 1999, Nunavut is the youngest territory in Canada. It's only been two generations since Canada's stewardship of the land forced the Inuit people out of their semi-nomadic way of life and into a modern sedentary one. But while the introduction of contemporary conveniences seem to have made life more comfortable, the history of Canada in the arctic is mired in tragedy, and the traumatic effects of residential schools and forced relocations are still being felt.
Today, Nunavut is in a state of social crisis: Crime rates are four times the national average and the rates of suicide are more than ten times higher than the rest of Canada.
If you ask people here what the driving force of the problem is, a lot of them will say: alcohol. Even though alcohol is completely illegal in some parts of the territory, it's been reported that 95 percent of police calls are alcohol-related.

Their objective is to destroy patriarchy; their weapons are bare breasts. FEMEN "sextremists" have now set up shop in more than ten countries, but only have one active branch in North America. In this documentary, VICE journalist Brigitte Noël enters the world of FEMEN Quebec as they disturb the public space with their homegrown brand of activism, bringing skin, controversy, and feminism to the front page.
As FEMEN set out on a mission to protect Canadian women's abortion rights, Noël shadowed the group to get a better understanding of their message, their approach, and whether their shock-and-awe tactics actually work.

The Bank of Canada suggested it’s willing to cut its rate to below zero percent if the country is faced with a major economic shock and we may finally know who the mysterious man behind Bitcoin is. Ameera David weighs in. Then, Edward Harrison sits down with Max Wolff – chief economist at Manhattan Venture Partners – to talk about operating systems.
After the break, Ameera and RT correspondent Marina Portnaya discuss Uber’s attempt to raise $2.1 billion. Afterwards, Ameera and Jim Rogers – international investor and acclaimed author – talk about emerging markets. And in The Big Deal, Ameera and Edward talk about Yahoo!
